Very solid Tex Mex spot. Top 5 guacamole, good cocktails. We ordered a handful of different entrees and none of them disappointed. Great service as well. Carlos did an excellent job. Highly recommend read more

Southlake Location Experience - Sunday, September 6. Our family lunch here ended up being a completely ruined experience due to a combination of terrible service and inappropriate behavior from the leadership on duty--made worse by the fact that they automatically tacked a 20% large-party gratuity onto our bill for it. First, the service from our waitress was incredibly poor. We sat waiting for almost 10 minutes before she even acknowledged our table or took a drink order. Throughout the entire meal, she never refilled our waters once. I specifically asked her to keep the club sodas coming; she brought two glasses at the very beginning and completely ignored the request for the rest of our time there. While our server completely neglected us, the Manager on Duty made us highly uncomfortable. At first, the manager came to our table, greeted us and told jokes to my grandson, which we appreciated. However, throughout the meal he repeatedly came to our space to engage in conversation. To make matters worse, he had bad breath so severe it caused me to stop eating eating my food. Forcing a 20% tip for "service" when we were actively neglected and made uncomfortable is insulting. We will not be returning. read more

Dakota was our server for my daughter birthday. He was so great. Super attentive and friendly. Please ask for him

Let's start with the interior. Place is immaculate and well designed. It screams come in and grab a seat and a drink. Great salsa - man this is true tex mex salsa. Awesome flavors you just dont get outside texas! Good brisket chili con carne - ordered this with a colleague and it was special. Flavors that just blew us away. Chili con carne usually comes with cheap salty or bland ground beef chili...this had smoked brisket! Nuff said. Bomb brisket suadero - this came as a suggestion from the waiter and it didn't disappoint. All the right flavors and smokiness and textures. I would come back just for this same dish. I suggest anyone that reads this to come asap and experience this place. Great wait staff as well! read more

All was great. Food was amazing. Margs were the best. dakota was fun. Atmosphere was fun. Love this place.

Food is tasty, but they are tight on sides and portion. They really try to turn the tables too fast and push you inout read more

My husband and I love Mexican food, and we decided to go to Muchacho for lunch while we were at Southlake Town Square running some errands. We were very pleased with our visit! The service is excellent and the food delicious! Their complimentary chips and salsa are probably the best that we have ever eaten! They offer daily happy hour specials from 2pm to 6pm that feature some of their signature drinks. Their food was delicious with generous portion sizes. And the restaurant itself is very pretty and clean! Highly recommended! read more

Queso Fundido, yum! Plus delicious drinks and they do have HH during certain times. Enjoyed the ambiance, food and fantastic service by Dakota. Will definitely be back. read more

A friend of mine told me that this was her favorite place in town. Had to try it. We were seated right away and service was excellent. The place is cute - also has an outside covered patio which is where we were seated. The food was excellent- we started with the queso fundido with flour tortillas, I had the octopus tacos, we also had chicken flautas and shrimp tacos. Also added the elote and rice sides. All delicious. Their chips are on the thicker side and complimentary with red and green salsa. This will become our go to Tex-Mex for sure! read more

Good food, very crowded venue and a bit over priced for Mexican food in Texas. They do not accommodate larger groups over 6 very well and will only do one check for a large group. (8 or more) Make sure you are all good friends so you can split later or go with someone that has a good expense account. read more

The food, ambiance, and service far exceeded my expectations. Loved the red fish. 10/10 highly recommend Get the tres leches! read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Muchachos Mexican Restaurant, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Service: Our waiter, Jorge, was nothing short of amazing. He was attentive, friendly, and made several excellent recommendations that truly enhanced our meal. His knowledge of the menu and enthusiasm for the dishes were evident, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Food: The food was spectacular! Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. It's undoubtedly some of the best Mexican cuisine I've ever had. Management: Paul, the manager, took the time to visit our table to gather feedback and discuss the restaurant's mission and other locations. It was clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority for him and his team, which added a personal touch to our visit. Overall Experience: From the warm welcome by the hostess to the exceptional service from Jorge and the attentive management by Paul, every aspect of our experience was remarkable. I wholeheartedly give Muchachos Mexican Restaurant a 10 out of 10 rating. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience! read more

It's been much too long since we've been back for no reason other than there are just so many great restaurants in this area. Happily, Muchacho remains one of them. The food, service, and atmosphere are all fantastic. Don't miss the mole and the other amazing sauces. So much flavor! read more

Seated immediately on a Sunday evening. Very warm and interesting decor. Service was amazing. Our server made good recommendations and took care of us during dinner. Our glasses were never empty. Chips and two kinds of salsa came right after we sat down. The food was delicious. I had the Suadero tacos which were prime rib brisket tacos. Meat was silky and tender and seasoned well. The beans and rice were delicious addition to the plate. Husband got the brisket tacos which were large and delicious. served with rice and beans. Everything was great. read more

Review us based on 4 visits. We attended happy hour at the bar and the craft cocktails are very very good and can be customized however, you like. Service is fast and attentive. The appetizers they offer for happy hour are unique. The nachos have some vegetables on them as well as a layer of beans and cheese. The queso can be tailored to be spicy or bland whatever your taste prefers. Outstanding chips and salsa. We've had old-fashioned and the prickly pear margarita as well as the regular margarita all are very good with plenty of liquor. I highly recommend this place. You have to get there early. Happy hour til six. It is every day even on the weekends, which is a great amenity for guest. Normal menu items look average, however Tex mex pricing is about 20% higher than nearby competition. read more

If you haven't been to Muchacho in Southlake yet, you're missing out! It's a very cool, unique take on Mexican cuisine with a great atmosphere and wonderful service. Dakota and the team were fantastic! So attentive and helpful, even with a large group! The food was excellent but the star was the flan.

High end Mexican restaurant. Interior is like a upscale western saloon. The aroma of spice and meat surrounds you. Lots of different food options selected at dinner. Tacos to enchiladas. Chicken to octopus. The salsa verde was , and their dipping sauces were absolutely packed with flavor and hit hard. Not disappointed with any selection. Drinks didn't taste mass produced. Amazing experience! The food was excellent, the quality outstanding, and the service truly exceptional. Our server, Becks, was fabulous--she recommended some fantastic options, and I'm so glad I took her advice. The fresh chips and salsa were a perfect start. The Ahi tuna taquitos are a must-try--absolutely delicious. The crispy shrimp tacos were also very good, though the mayo-tortilla combination made them a bit rich for my taste, so I'd recommend them as a shared plate. Overall, a wonderful dining experience! read more

Really great service. We had an early dinner here tonight Nov 22. We were able to be seated on the patio. Our waitress Carly was serving on the patio. Carly was friendly, funny, and totally took great care of us. We were able to just get into happy hour (ends at 6pm). Carly made sure that we were well taken care of. Drinks came fast, appetizer came fast and dinner was right on time! Carly helped to pack up left overs and gave us a little salsa and chips to go This was our first time here. Carly took the time to walk us through the menu and make suggestions. The ambiance on the patio was warm and friendly. We like to people watch, so we got to do a bit of that as well! Definitely will be back! Thank you again to Carly. She really made the evening very special for us! read more

Hi. It's Texmex, but what's good is it's located in a snippet of San Diego-ish Southlake, Tx. The ambiance is low lighting, kind of romantic. The service is good. The food was great, much better than my reviewing at this time. If you need to slow down the noise of the DFW, and get away to a small, surreal town within a town in the hustling, bustling DFW, visit this area, this TexMex spot in Southlake. I had the Chicken Mole Poblano Enchiladas as my entree and the Como La Flor as my vice for the night. The drink was delicious and not too strong, perfect for my night. The enchiladas were alright, not my absolute favorite. Maybe I haven't had true mole before, but it was sweeter than what I've had in the past. As for the service, our waitress was super accommodating and timely. She addressed everything we asked for, including extra things like grilled jalapenos. This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, super lively for a Sunday night. I loved the decor and the theme that they had. read more
