Beef Fajitas Al Carbon Marinated CAB Flap Steak
    John J.

Sunday dinner at Muchacho. Appreciated that they honored my request on the reservation for a booth. It seemed important to them to get it right and that shows a lot of customer focus. Service by Jose was excellent. We had the brisket flautas, and the beef fajitas. Presentation on both was outstanding. The brisket flautas is a large serving while the fajitas are actually a reasonable portion (but would be considered small compared to other restaurants). Perfectly crunchy flautas, but the brisket itself was a bit bland. Likewise, the steak fajitas were cooked, a perfect medium rare and tender enough to cut with your fork but again very bland. Just thought they needed some salt or seasoning of some type. For the price they charge ($34), the fajitas should be exceptional in my opinion. Homemade tortillas are excellent. Enjoyed the rice and beans and the guacamole on the side.

Great service and delicious food. These are some of the best fajitas in Dallas. Their queso is also some of my favorite. The staff is always lively and friendly. I do wish their mocktails could be better priced ... they're $15, so almost as much as their famous margaritas. The vibe is elevated casual, and it's usually a busy spot on the weekends.

Traditional Flan, this is next level delicious!

This place is consistently amazing! I have been here 3 times in the past month. It is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Dallas. Everything is good, everything! And the customer service is top notch. They treat everyone like a VIP. We love the ambiance as well. I seriously love everything about this place. I don't like Flan but my dad ordered it and I couldn't stop eating it. So good!

My friends and i went here for Cinco De Mayo. Our server was great and he definitely knew the menu and what to recommend. He didn't rush us and was very considerate. The Ahi Tuna Taquitos were so good we ordered another plate!! We also got (not pictured) Smoked Brisket Sopes, Chicken Verde enchiladas, Chicken fajitas, Portobello Mushrooms (VG), Tacos de Coliflor. 10/10 would recommend.

When in Dallas, find a bougie Tex-mex restaurant!! Came here for a friend's 60th birthday party and it was fabulous, just like her!! The restaurant itself is a bit tight but loved the decor and big windows all through the place. Plenty of parking as it's part of a connected space. Our waiter was on point and helped our party of 12 navigate through the menu flawlessly, even the gluten free couple felt comfortable ordering without prejudice!! The complimentary chips and salsa were def handmade and has a kick, so watch out! The margaritas were strong, cold, and perfect. The tamarindo was my go to and the ghost pepper had a slight heat but I could've had 5 of those babies, no problemo!! Queso was straight cheese, eat it fast cuz it'll harden. The hamachi Agua chile was more Asian style in my opinion, but very good. The brisket sopas were the fan favorite!! Ended up ordering a second serving!! Steak/shrimp Fajitas & brisket taquitos were a hit!! The shrimp were massive and loved the fresh tortillas!! They were kind enough to let us bring in our own cake, so we didn't try any dessert, but everything looked lovely!! Will def hit them up again when in town!! There is a Southlake location which is closer that I will also need to check out, plus I read they have a happy hour. Woohooo!!

We hit up Muchacho on Sunday, February 1st, for brunch, and it was a great choice! Started with the brisket sopes as an appetizer--super tasty and a nice way to kick things off. The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious; I preferred the red sauce over the green, but that's just personal taste. Drinks were decent--solid margs and cocktails--but a bit on the pricey side. Understandable for the upscale vibe and location in Preston Center. For the main, the pork belly fajitas were amazing--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and juicy. The rice and beans on the side were just right, not overdone or bland. Totally recommend this place for brunch or anytime you're craving elevated Tex-Mex. The food and atmosphere make it worth it. Only downside: the restrooms are limited--just 2 toilets for the whole restaurant. Not sure how that's up to code with how busy it gets, but it didn't ruin the experience. We'll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

I have to say...this place was amazing!! Our service, drinks, food, desserts, coffee were amazing!! I think I had the best tres leches cake I've ever had!!!!! I'll definitely be back for that. It was packed when we got there but gladly one of my girlfriends made reservations weeks in advance and the earliest we could get was 8 pm which was fine they sat us right away and service was great! I had to try two different plates bc why not I wasn't sure the pozole verde would be filling enough for me so I ordered that it's sooo good definitely recommend! And I also ordered tacos al carbon - don't worry I took some home but I wanted a taco too. We had the como la flor and chefs kiss or should I saw bartenders kiss it was good!! We also had coffee - not all places have good coffee for dinner and this was definitely good they brought is some creamer too. Now the tres leches - everyone order it! I don't care if you don't like it - it's soo good! It has a hint of pineapple- which I loved! The whipped cream was homemade you could tell and the coconut flakes . It was a little pricey but we knew were going to a nice place and didn't mind. I saw a lot sitting outside and it was like 30-40 degrees so I assume they felt warm enough to sit outside I also saw lots of blankets out there. They also hand cute matches as compliments in the front instead of mints - I love matches from any restaurant so that was nice too.

Everything was excellent--beautiful restaurant, attentive staff, and amazing food. Make your reservation without hesitation! They started us off with chips and two salsas--verde and roja--and both were equally delicious. I ordered the Combo #Juan, and there was so much food I was ready for bed afterward! But the unanimous winner at our table was the La Chilanga. If you're trying to decide what to order, don't skip it. I'll definitely be back!

Muchacho is always one of our favorites. The Ahi Tuna Tostadas are great, very fresh and flavorful. We went with an order of the chicken and steak fajitas, both were delicious. We ordered the steak fajitas medium as they tend to be rarer than what you order. Our waiter, Clint, was amazing, we never had an empty glass, never had to ask for anything. He made it a very fun and enjoyable trip with some great recommendations as well. Overall, great dinner, will be back.

Muchacho Dallas .... Fall patio vibes with repeat potential Muchacho Dallas on a breezy Sunday afternoon was an instant vibe! I chose patio seating to soak in the nice weather & good energy. I started with the chips & salsa, which came out fresh and crisp: Tip* mix both salsas together...and its a perfect pairing Then came the Picadillo Empanadas: spiced beef picadillo, oaxaca cheese, avocado crema, pickled red onions, and pepitas. Let me just confess that the pickled red onions were the star of the show, hands downs. The only miss for me was the inside of the empanadas. Unfortunately ,a little too doughy for my taste. I was hoping for more crunch to match the flavor. Next up were the Steak Nachos: generously topped with refried beans and cheese but a little light on chips. They came with guac, sour cream, and taqueria-style pickles. Flavor of the steak was pretty good , but for $20, I expected a bit more Wowwww factor. Overall, Muchacho has the vibes, the service was chill, and the setting is perfect for a weekend unwind. I'll definitely give it another try. However, next time, I'll be sticking with the classics like enchiladas or tacos. #MuchachoDallas #DallasEats #SundayVibes #PatioSeason #FoodieFinds #DallasBrunch #TacoLover

I stumbled across this place for dinner on a Saturday night and it was packed! There was about a 20 minute wait, which wasn't bad considering all the people waiting. They were turning tables fast. Service was really good! I had a delicious margarita (I think it was the house one), amazing queso (seriously it was like a BOWL of queso and it was outstanding), and mole enchiladas which were superb! As someone from Southern California, I liked this Mexican food wayyy more than Tex Mex. Definitely would come back!

Steak nachos plate cost was $20 for 6 nachos!

First time here. Chips & salsa are good! The music playing overhead is great for the setting! The seating is a bit crowded as this place is popular. We had a 30 min wait on a Tuesday for dinner! The staff is accommodating & friendly! I ordered the steak nachos. The steak was dry in some places but otherwise good taste. I was served a portion of cauliflower pickled. This is new to me. Overall the food is good.

He literally told me, "If a drop of rain comes, then I'll give it to you." It had rained for much of the day, and multiple customers were asking about the same promotion. If the requirement is that rain must physically be falling while you order, that needs to be clearly stated in the advertisement. Otherwise, the promotion feels misleading. I've been to Parliament several times and have never had a bartender interpret the rainy-day happy hour this way. I ended up ordering a smoked Old Fashioned from another bartender I've had before, and it was great. He was friendly, engaging, had great energy, and even did tricks while making the drink. I still enjoyed my cocktail, but it would've been nice to have the option to order from the happy-hour menu as advertised that day. I'm including the Instagram post for reference. I'm very disappointed as I've never not had a good time at Parliament. I really think that the owner should look at the Times stamps around 930 to 10:15pm part night and see the difference of business and traffic flow from when the taller bartender with the glasses versus the shorter Bartender with the glasses was at the front as it was instantly more business. Oh and lastly, I left my Betsy JOHNSON purple umbrella. I'm so sad and they don't have a number to call.

The Cevichos alone are worth a visit. We'll definitely be coming back! We decided to head to Lower Greenville as part of a night out and decided on Apothecary. We made a reservation for 8.45pm and the place was busy but not packed. The space is beautiful, dimly-lit, and intimate with couches or small tables. We were seated at one of the small tables and both decided to sit on the couch side of the table. Most couples were doing the same and the tables were spread out enough so that we all felt we had enough space. We started with two drinks (Private Barrel Old Fashioned and French Kissing) and two appetizers (Oysters and the Cevichos) . The drinks came out with the Oysters. The Old Fashioned was solid; the French Kissing was a beautiful drink and delicious. The Oysters were served with a touch of salsa, and they were excellent. We ordered a second round of drinks (the Loch'D Inn and another French Kissing) and they arrived with the Cevichos. I'm not a huge fan of scotch, but the Loch'D Inn was very good, with the sweet foam on the drink being fantastic (when my date went to the restroom, I tried to get more of it with my fork it was that good... I really needed a spoon ). Now to the Cevichos, which were the highlight of the night. They were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, and I will come back just for those. They were savory while also having a nice citrus flavor... just delicious. The only downside is that you have to eat them somewhat quickly as the chips on the bottom will get soggy if left too long. We closed the night with the Japanese Elotes and a Pekin Tom cocktail, both of which were delicious. The Elotes had so much flavor. Regarding the Pekin Tom, I appreciate that the smoke had a light flavor as the smoke in so many smoked cocktails overpowers the drink itself. That was not the case here -- really well done. The service is also top notch. Our server came by often, but never interrupted while we were deep in conversation. Another gentleman also checked on us twice. I don't know with certainty but I think he was either the manager or the bartender. He always asked about the drinks and made excellent recommendations.

Full review: I made a reservation for Ginger's at 9.30pm on a Saturday night. We arrived around 9.20pm and there was no line yet. We were able to go right in but had to wait until our reservation time for the table. We got a drink from the bar, where the other patrons were friendly and the bartenders were fast and very attentive despite it already being fairly busy. Our table was ready right at 9.30, and it was great. Two large comfy chairs with a small cocktail table in between. Cozy enough for conversation despite the place being fairly busy. It was much busier by the time we left (there was a line outside at that point), but our cozy spot was great regardless of how crowded the place got. As far as the aesthetics go, the bar is beautiful and the discreet entrance gives it the speakeasy feel. The music was great, and a handful of patrons danced in the space (which just added to the lively ambience). The drinks are top notch. I only had two. The Ginger's Old Fashioned is a solid old fashioned but nothing to rave about. However, the Diamond in the Rough is amazing and unlike any other bourbon cocktail I've had. I'd go back for that alone (and would definitely the Barrel-Aged Black Manhattan the next time). The only real downside to the bar is the restrooms. There was a slight wait for the men's (no big deal), but the wait for the women's was pretty crazy with a line outside. We let women start alternating to use the men's because we felt a little bad for them.
