When you return from your trip, tired and ready to go home, your car is safe, the shuttle picks you up instantly, and you're on the road quickly. They make the end of a long trip feel like a smooth, easy welcome home. It's a simple, reliable service that lets you focus on your travel, not your car.

Until now. Returning from a trip recently, I started my vehicle and immediately got a warning from the vehicle 's annunciator: two tires with extremely low pressure, and a third with a pressure too low for driving. That's three tires with low pressure. Did I run over something causing three tires to lose pressure? No. The one tire with normal pressure was the only one in view of the administrative building: that tire was the only one with its valve stem cover still in place. The other three had been removed. Luckily, I had an electric air pump that plugs into the 12-volt receptacle and inflated the other three adequately so that the tires wouldn't be ruined if the car was moved. At a service station, I brought all tires up to pressure, and the pressure remained stable afterward. Conclusion: the absence of valve stem covers and no indication of leaks are ample evidence that this was done deliberately. But by whom? Someone deflated the tires. Why our vehicle? I don't know and can't imagine a reason why we were singled out. The only stickers on the vehicle are (1) parking pass for the university I attended, and (2) a PHI Cares (airlift notification). Nothing even remotely offensive about our license plate frame. Fortunately, our vehicle is equipped with 4K resolution dash cams, one in the front windshield, one in the back: as an anti-theft measure, the cameras record anyone close aboard who approaches the vehicle when it is not moving -- and the cameras aren't very noticeable from outside the car: crystal-clear imaging, day and night. I'm having the memory cards downloaded to disc to determine who was responsible for this sabotage.

Enter PreFlight Airport Parking. After reading such great reviews, I had to try it. Paid about $31.50 with a coupon code I found online. This was from a Friday until Sunday night at 9:30. Everything was great until I picked up my car. That was not the best moment. Read on... Pulling up to the property was easy enough. Google maps took me right to the entrance. Pay attention to the signs because there are different levels and you have to remember which floor you reserved. I chose the ground level. The website stated some of the spots are covered, and when I arrived, most were actually covered. I was glad about that! My flight was actually delayed about an hour, so I called to find out if it was okay for me to arrive a bit later than I had reserved. The person on the phone didn't sound like they knew what they were talking about (maybe they were new, idk). I heard them ask someone else my same question. She then came back on and said, yes that's fine, but if you arrive past 3 pm, you have to pay. I asked how much and she asked the other person again. "The same amount you paid when you made the reservation." Uhhh.. okay. I made sure I arrived before 3 pm. Pushed the button at the machine, it spit out a ticket and the arm swung open for me to drive through. I found a spot immediately and locked up my car. Upon my return Sunday night, my flight ended up coming in later. This meant I ended up picking up my ride almost an hour later due to delays BEYOND MY CONTROL. As I drove to the exit, I was anticipating paying a little extra since I did stay a little after my reservation of 9:30 pm. No one was at the booth, I had to scan my ticket at least 2 times before it told me I had to pay $64 and some change!! I was SHOOK to say the least!! WHAT?!?! By that time, close to 10:30 pm, there were 2 or 3 cars behind me also waiting to exit. I was livid, but I swiped my card to pay so that the arm would swing up to let me out. WOW. I was dumbfounded and annoyed af to be honest. What kind of highway robbery is this operation?! They will charge you twice what you paid if you leave past whatever time you said you would arrive, even if it's not your fault!! Like I mentioned earlier, they didn't have anyone to ask anything (at the booths to come in or leave the premises). It's like a trap so whoever falls into it has no choice but to pay whatever amount pops up on the screen. I didn't bother to call because they probably would have given some lame speech about how it's their policy and that's how they operate. I was happy with where my car was parked, though. It was well lit when I arrived at night and the shuttle driver was quick and friendly. My car was in the same condition I left it. Would I use this place again?! Maybe. If I do, I'll make my return time 2 hours after my scheduled arrival to avoid the upcharge hassle. You've been warned!

They make everything really easy, and they are now fully shaded!!! So awesome! Reservations can be made online through the app. Upon arrival, you can scan the QR code that is created when you make the reservation, and the workers will tell you which aisle to go down. Once you've unpacked the vehicle of your belongings and locked up, a bus will usually be ready to pick you up at your car! The seating is nice and there's racks for your suitcases while you travel to the airport. They'll ask which airline you're going to and take you directly there. You'll also receive a card to give back them when you pick up your car, so they'll know where to drop you off. When you've come back and are ready to pick up your car, the buses will be located down in courtesy vehicles of the arrivals area. I think when you make the reservations you'll put in information about your flight too, so they'll have a general idea of when to pick you up. But make sure you get on the right bus, as there are three different locations. Once you're dropped off at your car, you'll drive back to the gates and scan your QR code again and pay. They offer complimentary water bottles too when you exit! I love The Parking Spot and recommend it to everyone!

Parking here and then taking the tram to your terminal is so much better than parking in the expensive airport parking. I've learned that parking here vs taking an Uber/Lyft is cheaper. I'm not knocking taking Uber/Lyft because it is also convenient and gets you to your gate but self parking gives you more control on getting into your car and being able to drive, stop off for food and then head home . It's also monitored parking with cameras all over the place and I've not heard of any car thefts or incidents happening here, which is also a huge plus!!! 3 days of parking for $47 isn't bad! I'll never forget the time I returned from a trip getting in super late when no one else was around and I was so exhausted that I forgot where I parked. Lol I am sure that security had a good laugh as I road the tram at least 3 times trying to remember where I parked! I've since learned to take pictures. Lol I like the fast line to check out of this lot as well, when using a credit card. Again, easy out!!
