Mt Playmore - Kids Activities Near Me - Austin, Texas

This place is epically awesome! I have two children, ages 4 and 2, and they had so much fun for my daughters 4th birthday. We didn't do a birthday party, but just went as a family. First of all, how cheap was it to get in?! That was great and a bit of a shocker because of how much they played, definitely worth the money! The toddler/baby area was my 2 year olds favorite, full of ride on toys and just a big safe area to run around in. My 4 year old wasn't as interested in the multi level playscape, considering she gets nervous when other kids (mainly big kids) are around her, but she warmed up as soon as my husband and I joined in! Funny because my two year old loved the playscape more than my four year old, and she was always on the opposite side of where we were! The only downfall was the concessions. The food was okay, but the prices... ouch. No wonder it is cheap to get in, they make their moneys worth by food! The arcade was fun. They had some old style games that I remember from my childhood, so it was fun playing them with my children. Plus it is pretty easy to get a simple prize with tickets. My daughter played maybe 5-6 games and with the tickets she won, she was able to get a tiara! One thing that really got to me was the amount of parents just sitting on their phone/tablet/laptop the entire time while their kids were playing. I remember one child, maybe 5-6 years old, begging his dad to go play with him and his dad was face deep into his tablet. Get up and play with your kids! This playscape is designed for both adult and child, so get up and play! Overall, I highly recommend this place for you to let your kids get out some energy and have fun! read more

Disgusting, rude staff, it's super dirty. Everything is sticky. They charge you $5 for a 6 month old baby that's being carried around. No thanks. Save your money - indigo play is better. read more

Best playscape in Austin. It is simply massive, and built so you can climb up with your kids if you want to, which is encouraged btw. The arcade has improved so much recently. They upgraded to a swipe card system. Most of the games are older, which can be fun for parents. (Pac man!) But also means they break down quite a bit. I've lost my share of credits to broken machines :( The food was a pleasant surprise. It looks like a sad stadium concession stand, but the pizza they're slinging is more like pizzaria. Toddler area is nice! was recently carpeted, which was long overdue. The previous floor was terrifyingly hard. Not ideal for tumbling toddlers. Prices can't be beat. Staff are mostly kids. They seem to be slowly finding good people. The manager I met was great. Overall, this place can't be beat. Bring your kids, buy a drink or some lunch. Let them go crazy and wear themselves out while you get nostalgic on the old school arcade games. read more

I have been here a couple times with my 8 and 10 year old and they have a blast. They can spend hours in the playscape and it gets all their energy out, bonus there are always other kids there for them to befriend. I love that they have comfortable seating for the parents; ikea rocking chairs and couches. But today we had one outstanding experience. My 8 year old was running (like she's not supposed to) and tripped skinning her ankle. I went up front and asked Chris the manager for an ice pack. He was very concerned, offered to fill out in incident report, and told me to go be with my little one, he would bring the ice to us, he then asked my 8 year old if there was anything she wanted, she declined but it was sweet. Later we found a woman's wallet sitting on a bench, I picked it up and took it to Chris, my 10 year old remembered who.it belonged to and helped.scope her out and she and Chris literally RAN to meet her to give it back. Chris then offered my kids a few game credits to get some prizes for being "good samaritan". So sweet and really helping to instill in my kids to do good deeds. I will definitely be a returning customer and be bragging about them to my friends. read more

My better half introduced me to this Atlantis just off the frontage of I35 in Pflugerville! I went in with mixed feelings and was not happy about having to go on a lazy day off. Well, wouldn't you know it. Before long I was knee deep in the three leveled mansion of a jungle gym they call Mt. Playmore! I'm not sure who had more fun. Me or little Ethan! The only complaint I have. We made a repeat visit on a Saturday. I have been to some of the craziest clubs, lounges and hardest ticket restaurant's nation wide. I know to avoid this kid club on the weekends. Its a bit overwhelming. Trying to rescue a 4 year old after bopping heads with another child while weeding through 200 kids...not fun. That's okay and good for them. Its a great problem to have! They are busy! Just not for me as I prefer a lazy weekday! Lastly, I lost my keys there and they found them. Not only did they find them. It was a painless process to recover them! Hats off to this place! I see Ethan's 5th bday at this place for some reason! read more

Had a party for 25 kids and they all loved it. Hostess takes care of serving all the kids food and drinks. The only complaint I've ever had at all the parties I've attended is that there is no "parent seating" the size of the room only accommodates children. So parents either have to wait in the general area or stand against the walls. Rooms are small. I had the extra large room and there were benches along the wall so some parents sat there but most got a table outside of the room. Parties are timed but kids can stay as long as they want after the party is over. read more

My daughter just had her 5th birthday party here and we could not be happier with how it went! From the moment we walked in until the moment we left we were fully taken care of! They greeted every guest for us and checked them in. The hosts also made sure every single guest had a drink and pizza. The whole experience made throwing a birthday party the easiest thing ever. It was a parents dream really! The other thing I really liked is when the time was up we were able to move to a table outside of the party room and still play as long as we wanted. We didn't feel rushed at all like most places make you feel. It was just a really good experience for all included. read more

This place is great! I don't understand the negative reviews, especially the one that complained about the old carpet and mismatched chairs. Really?? Who cares! I honestly would not have even noticed that if I has not read those reviews before I came. Some people's expectations are just sky high. It's a kid's place that serves food, the carpet is going to get stained within a week for sure, so why spend the money up front? Most of the flooring is not carpet anyway, it's a rubber-y surface. Also, as another reviewer noted, from an environmental standpoint, it is actually awesome that they are reusing perfectly good chairs, tables, carpet, and arcade games and keeping them out of landfills. Austin is full of environmentally conscious people, so this place fits in nicely here, in my opinion :) The playscape is the main attraction, that's what you're paying for, and it's huge and new and great!! Can't wait to have my daughter's birthday party here. read more

My nephew and his 21 month old son came to visit us so we took them here. I kid you not, before my great nephews feet touch there floor they were running he couldn't wait to explore, play. I found a open booth. We shared a pizza and purchased some soda. Overall it was a great time here for the little guy. Next time I will bring my self a magazine. Although on a good not they have plenty of seats for us Parents and grandparents watching the kids play. There is a arcade area, rides a toddler area and massage chairs read more

Went on a Saturday with my daughter. Staff was nice, price was fair, daughter was happy, can't really complain! She spent about an hour in the playscape with other kids, then we spent another hour in the game area. They have a decent variety of redemption games which my daughter enjoys, as well as a motion ride, laser maze game, air hockey, video games, etc. On safety, they have a staff member at the exit gate who checks to make sure each child is leaving with the appropriate adult. Didn't use the bathrooms or try the food so can't comment on that. Didn't see any issues with cleanliness or encounter any rude staff as some have mentioned. No problems. As advertised. read more

I ended up going to Mt. Playmore the other day. From the kids point of view five stars. All the kids had a great time. From my point of view I also give it five stars mostly because I had the best experience for any family entertainment center I have been to as an adult. Pros: Best Philly Cheese steak sandwich I have every had in Austin. Serious I was blown away by how good the sandwich was. The arcade games only cost a quarter per play and they had a Star Wars game which I dropped five dollars into to defeat the evil empire. Cons: The place was crowded on Saturday which I guess should be expected. read more

I thought this would be a good place to spend an hour or so with the kids. After three hours we decided to try the food, not expecting much, and got the nacho burger. If that was the only thing they had I would be back for just that! Holy cow!! This place has couches, rocking chairs, an awesome grown-up type cafe and an arcade! At hour 4 and a half we had to drag the kids out!! read more

This place is amazing. The customer service was way more than what can be expected from places like this. The manager Mr. Chris was friendly and professional and listened to my concerns. Due to health conditions I cannot lift my son too high and he helped me find someone who helped me. After the kitchen was closed a little girl was crying and the manager gave her a scoop. Devon, one of the employees, is the person you want working for you. Respectful, friendly, tireless and committed. The lady at the front desk work with me to get the best deal for my needs. This is customer service done by people who actually know how to do it. Family bathroom was clean and renovated. Highly suggested. If any one knows me, you know this must be a miracle, but I was impressed. I am back after a few weeks and this place is as amazing, friendly and cleaner. It got even better, you can't bet having the ninja turtles! read more

My two year old had a blast. As previously mentioned by posters, the toddler room could use a bit more. What reduces my review drastically is the cleanliness. The toddler room toys need a thorough cleaning. You can see dirt build up on some older toys, throughout the main play structures, and the arcade. It's most noticeable in the toddler area. Also, I was given a lecture about socks, which I happily purchased and put on, only to get into the toddler room and see several parents without socks. Just something to be mindful of. read more

This place is CRAZY! It's one big jungle gym, with a small arcade, and an area to eat there food. First- I'm surprised that there weren't any injuries while I was there. There where easily 100 plus children and adults climbing and moving around this massive structure. There was plenty to do for all ages of children. However, as the day went on I would worry about children 5 and under in here. I have three girls, 9 and under.. They had a blast! Second- your children will work up a sweat! No food or drinks allowed inside, but I did see people with there own water bottles. The staff really didn't say much to them. Third- Arcade is lot of fun for the adults and older children... Most games only cost a quarter and you earn tickets for the games you play- the prizes are basically junk, but my girls did enjoy picking them out. Some of the choices include tattoos, tootsie rolls, pencils, spinning tops, etc. Fourth- with that many people running around the area looked clean. I have no idea how they would disinfect the climbing structure? As someone who knows a few germ-a-fobs that would drive me crazy Finally, while the staff didn't interact much with the children they were cleaning the tables and walking the floor just to make sure everyone was behaving. I really didn't see the staff talking to each other which to me as a parent was nice to see. read more

This place is the best! I absolutely loved climbing and sliding around in it! ...I mean, my kid loved it, yea.... lol. This place is great for kids, but it's also GREAT for adults who happen to still be kids at heart! It was really cheap (about $10 for kids and $1 for adults, and they built the entire playscape big enough for adults to fit in to! Plus, they allow you to come in and out so you can keep food/drinks in your car and save a few couple of bucks! The pictures never really seem to do this place justice; you really have to step inside to realize just how huge (and awesome) it is! read more

My nephew's had an amazing time here! They have coffee for the adults too! Keep that ENERGY going. haha

probably not going back after our first visit. Rude parents. Definitely not enough tables/chairs in the area where most parents need to be sit to supervise the kids. I finally found an open table with chair, put our water bottles there, then my 2 yr old called me to play. When I came back, my chair was taken. I asked the guy nicely if i can have my chair back, he refuse to get up. In the toddler section, few Indian families where passing the carts amount each others given no turns for other kids. Shouldn't be like that. I didn't buy any tokens, but I notice it takes 3 tokes for some of the ride, and the ride time is not even long (compare to Chunky Cheese). the whole play scape is awesome for the first 40 minutes, after that all three of my kids (7, 4, 2) were bored. read more

Great place for kids. Very big and plenty of space to run around. Free WIfi for parents and very comfortable chairs to lounge in. Food is amazing and offer gluten free food for kids. Only downfall is it can get a bit pricey, but overall great place. read more

So personally i feel this place was all hype and then you get here and its sub par. The playscape is cool and they should of just focused on that. My nine year old just (and still is) running herself sweaty. The floor, chairs and arcade is all very very very used items. The chairs already have holes in them and the carpet nasty. I think that this place shouldn't of opened until they had their A game on point. After this months pass runs out, ill just come back when i have nothing else to do. Granted i wasn't able to play with my daughter, so my review based on my outerly experience. The customer service is good and i would say to beat the heat this place good. For those of us down south, it took me 30 min w minor Mopac traffic to get here. Oh yeah! The food expensive.. As in popcorn was 2.99 .. It was so salty too. So popcorn and juice = 5.24. The popcorn smaller then the .99 cent target popcorn too!!! read more

What a fantastic place for kids to run a mok everywhere, climb, bounce, and tire themselves out. We are definitely fans of this place and we will return. My kids said when we left today, that was FUN! Kudos to you for having hand sanitizing stations all throughout the play areas! LOVE IT! My one complaint is parents hoarding chairs and tables. We were there for 3 hours and we could NEVER get a seat either in the cafe or in the big playscape area. Parents please remember that other parents would like to sit as well! Other than that, y'all rock! See ya soon! read more

This place was great. Brought a toddler and a preteen and both kids had fun. It was a little chaotic since it was Spring Break, but everything was still under control. The toddler area is pretty big, but it's not full of toys. Which, hey this helps the kiddos use their sharing manners. The preteen played in the big plays cape or whatever and had a blast! It's definitely friendly for any age, since my toddler also climbed in there. Oh yeah and the price is perfect! Definitely worth the money you pay. read more

The massive playscape and free WiFi means I can get work done and my kids are smitten. The manager (I think his name was Dave, maybe, sorry) was super helpful when we came one night to celebrate my 6 year olds birthday. The cafe should have been open but it wasnt and since I brought hungry kids we had to leave after only a few minutes. The birthday boy was devastated but the manager saved the day by letting him pick out a surprise from the prize area and giving us a couple of free passes to come back another day. He went above and beyond to fix a rocky situation and for that I am grateful. read more

YouTube video: https://youtu.be/CMfufb9Jehg This place is GINORMOUS and AWESOME! Huge obstacle course that kids can roam in circles for days. Lol. Climb, slide, jump, swing, crawl, and glide. Great fun for our 2.5 year-old for several hours. When he got tired of the obstacle course, we played games at their very decent size arcade and played in the quiet toddler area (for ages 3 and under). Lots of space for parents to sit, relax, and keep an eye out on their kids. If you've got younger kids, keep a close distance. The older kids tend to be rough and unsafe (like climbing up the slides when others are coming down). Perhaps employees can monitor a bit more to prevent accidents from happening. There's a food stand with good variety. And ice cream! :-) A nice treat to end the day. We really enjoy this playhouse. Will be back again the next time we're in town. We made a YouTube video: https://youtu.be/CMfufb9Jehg Have fun and cheers! read more

Prices are fair, area is nice and clean, but the food is pretty bad. Pizza is decent (1-10 it's a 5), the fried oreo's are pretty good, but the nachos were horrible. Cold cheese, and it tasted like they just got it out of a can and didn't bother to heat it up. The menu "looks" good but when you actually receive the food it's a bit upsetting. What a great idea! The biggest playscape I've ever seen! We've been here for almost 2 hrs and my son is still running around. It's always hard getting him to leave this place! It's lots of fun for the kids but not so entertaining for the adults lol I think the cutest thing is the wagon they pull for "lost children" lol read more

Mt. Playmore is awesome! I was so impressed, they were clean, new, and the playscape is amazing! Chris the manager is extremely accommodating and helped me give my nephew admission for his 3rd birthday. I loved that adults are so inexpensive but can play too, I was definitely up in there chasing the kids and wished my husband could have come too because he would have enjoyed it. Its fun for all ages honestly. We even enjoyed the life size virtual games you could play on the floor. I recommend Mt. Playmore to anyone that asks where to take kids. The adult chairs are super comfy too! We will be back, the little ones loved it! read more

This place is GREAT! We will def be going here for my daughters bday. It's so big and fun, the food their is gross like any where else, but edible lol I love how grown ups can go inside the gymnasium obstacle course with the children, so much fun! If your lookin for a good workout, just chase your kids in that thing lol, very spacious! Come early, like as soon as they open, because swarms of mothers will hoard the seats/tables with all the chairs at the tables... Also watch out for your belongings, potential thieves could be lurking... But all in all, compared to other young child activities to do with your kids here in Austin, this place is a win win in my eyes, oh and they also have a great, baby toddler section for the little ones :) read more

Can only speak about the Toddler Area and the Concession stand. You can not beat the price of admission if your kiddo is under 2 (free) and accompanying adult is $1.50+tax. Toddler Area: My little one has a great time burning off energy here. He probably wished there were more little push cars, with only 1 there seemed to be a constant snatch and grab by other littles playing. The toddler zone is the one area that probably gets neglected by management. I do wish management would "patrol" this area. The toddler area is for the under 3 crowd. When we were there on 9/7 there were 3-4 older kids and their roughhousing was a little scary around all the babies. I finally said something to a father and his daughter (who looked to be 6+) He didn't seem to happy with my request but I just informed him it was one of the rules stated above the entrance of the area. Concession Stand - good variety and some decent picks for the under 4 crowd. Don't expect organic but they offer salads and your standard pizza, hamburger fare. Tip: 1. Don't forget to wear socks, bring some with you! Otherwise the front desk sells them for a nominal fee since you must wear them. 2. Don't bring a lot of personal items - I could totally see someone walking off with items left around if you are playing with your child. read more

I've been coming to Mt. Playmore for years with my sons, my sister and her kids, and friends and their kids. I've been an annual family member for 2 years and am now a month to month member. The playground is large and I feel my kids are safe here. One of the things I've always enjoyed as a perk is the discount at the restaurant. However, today I was told they don't give and haven't given discounts at the restaurant. That may be a recent change but when I signed up for membership, that was a perk. I am very upset at this change and how it WASN'T communicated to me. I've spent thousands of dollars at this place and will now take my money elsewhere. read more

I'll start off saying this review excludes the arcade portion of the center... Which looks like hand me downs from chuck e cheezes. Beyond that this place is pretty awesome. The bulk of it is centered around a multi level climbing heaven. Slides, stairs, walkways, swings , bouncing floors, zip lines, monkey bars... All padded and safe to play. Best part parents are allowed to join in. That in and of itself makes this place top of the list. Most places like this, the parents are grounded and it can be a struggle to get your young ones to join in. I also liked the fact that they had staff at all the choke points, and throughout to keep things safe and moving. We had a great time and I highly recommend, read more
