The structure is great amazing for kids my problem is with the staff who's not trained properly. Obviously most of the people that work there are minimum wage because they act like this. We come there at least once a week and spend about $100 between admission food and video games Last week my wife came out of a major surgery. She walks slowly and limped on her way into the structural and sat down on a bench outside waiting for us to park the car ,one of the staff members came out and asked her to leave thinking she's a homeless person?? Mind you she doesn't look nothing or dress nothing like a homeless person. Then we went in and she was holding a cup of coffee in her hand with her medicine inside they asked her to finish it outside or throw it away because they have a restaurant inside and you can't bring in food This week I brought in my five-year-old who is very limited on his diet and sat him by the table to feed him his special meal. Again one of the staff members approached us and said you cannot bring food from the outside I asked for a manager and explain to her the situation she offered a solution apparently I need to go to a special room to feed my son so I don't offend anybody else that is asking for the same thing. I think the entire staff need to go through some thorough training. It's a shame that because stuff like that they just lost $400 a month we are going to take our business elsewhere read more

This place is always so on and off. Sometimes it's well managed and clean and other times there are a bunch of teenagers running it and it is disgusting and smells like pee. Been coming here for the last year and never had a problem coming with my two teenagers who don't jump or participate. They usually ask us to just pay the adult price for them since they are just sitting there occupying space at the tables. The last time I went there they decided to change the rules and charge us full price for two teenagers which was around 22 or $23. Just wanted to bring my toddler there to jump for a while and ended up spending almost $50 for one hour of playtime for him. Safe to say I will not be returning back here anytime soon read more

What a cute place for kids! And perfect for less-than-stellar weather! Honestly, I'm sad we don't have this in Houston (as far as I'm aware of). Only $1.50 per adult, and our 1 year old was free. We got a card loaded with $10 for games, and after playing a bit (as well as getting a ball for him), we still had leftover money and handed the card to someone to enjoy the rest. There's a toddler area for 36 inches and smaller, but we spent most of our time in the bigger kid areas. We loved it! And let me tell you, it's a bit of a workout for us parents too! There are slides within the enclosures, and the nets are super sturdy and tightly knit, so no little feet or hands can slip through. One of the best parts is the safety aspect of it. That is, everyone in the family gets an invisible stamp and must match when exiting. Perfect if you lose your kid for a split second, nobody can just walk out with them! read more

My friend & I met here in the late afternoon with our kids ranging from 4-17. All the kids were entertained and had something to do. The all played on the play structure at some point. It wasn't too crowded at the time that we were there (4:30-7:30 pm on a weekday). There were sofas for us to hang out on while the kids did their thing. One downside was that the kitchen was closed when we went to go get food for dinner because their cook didn't show up that day but they accommodated us with a couple of pizzas. The pizzas are a part of their regular concessions. We didn't use the video game area so much so I can't speak to how it is but the boys (elementary school aged) seemed to enjoy the short time they spent there. We were looking for something to do on a rainy day, but most kid-friendly places were closed. We tried Mt. Playmore for the first time and were very impressed. The facility was huge, and had lots of activities, including a playscape, arcade and toddler area. The admission was very cheap, and so were the arcade games. The kids were able to ride on the kiddy rides multiple times and play any arcade game due to how cheap it was. We stayed and played for hours. It was clean, and they had social distancing measures in place. Honestly we weren't a fan of the pizza but maybe others would like it more. On Dec. 19, 2021, 10 members of our family went there to celebrate the visit of our grandson from North Carolina. The kids enjoyed to the maximum and the visiting family members were impressed. During the day the family grandma lost an earring. Mount Playmore's Manager Ms. Deirdre did everything possible to find the earring but we went home without the beloved piece of jewelry. Been coming here with for a year now since my son was 1 and now he's two and love still all the same we try to come once a week. Think play place at McDonald's but the size of a big a warehouse. The food here is very tasty, not at all like normal concession food (at least what I have had). They have added a queue line since last Summer, this must be an indication of how many people are actually ordering. They have several items on their menu, from popcorn, appetizers, main dishes to desserts. The chicken strips are fresh and taste homemade, not frozen from a delivery company, they are served with nicely seasoned french fries (also taste homemade and hand cut) and a small corn cobbet. Most of their main items come with a side, even the tacos. I have enjoyed the cheeseburger, chicken sandwich and the pizza and they were all good. Went on a Saturday with my daughter. Staff was nice, price was fair, daughter was happy, can't really complain! She spent about an hour in the playscape with other kids, then we spent another hour in the game area. They have a decent variety of redemption games which my daughter enjoys, as well as a motion ride, laser maze game, air hockey, video games, etc. On safety, they have a staff member at the exit gate who checks to make sure each child is leaving with the appropriate adult. Didn't use the bathrooms or try the food so can't comment on that. Didn't see any issues with cleanliness or encounter any rude staff as some have mentioned. No problems. As advertised. read more

This place is amazing. The customer service was way more than what can be expected from places like this. The manager Mr. Chris was friendly and professional and listened to my concerns. Due to health conditions I cannot lift my son too high and he helped me find someone who helped me. After the kitchen was closed a little girl was crying and the manager gave her a scoop. Devon, one of the employees, is the person you want working for you. Respectful, friendly,tireless and committed. The lady at the front desk work with me to get the best deal for my needs. This is customer service done by people who actually know how to do it. Family bathroom was clean and renovated. Highly suggested. I am a fan that my kids have fun and the notable fact that the staff knows how to perform in an "emergency." Recently during a visit to a birthday party being held here, the power went out; for the entire surrounding city block. My protective instincts kicked in and I huddled the kids I knew into one location, since many parents left them at the party under the responsibility of the hosts. As I did my part I saw the owner/manager make sure his employees started standing by all the exits and doors. They shut the doors on any party rooms not being used. They asked the children to leave the playscapes and performed many other drills as if it was routine. As a parent and military veteran, I appreciated this attention to detail and action plan that they had in place. The staff made sure everyone was happy, safe, and accounted for as people were leaving (since there was only emergency lighting). They checked EVERYONE at the door to ensure their UV stamped matched with the child they had. After many people were leaving, I watched as they directed the staff to start accounting for all of the equipment, the cleaning, and doing important items like turning OFF the gas; so in the event that the electricity came back on quickly, no pizza oven, or other explosions, would happen. Overall a satisfying visit. When the power was on, the staff attended to the party, served pizza, served drinks, and did all that they could to make the party a great event for the kids. My first visit was a very unusual one, but the staff and management did a great job to handle it very well. It takes a lot of responsibility to keep your employees focused during an emergency (non-threatening), but you could see they all did it as a team in their own areas of responsibility. read more

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!!! Thief's work here!!! Avoid taking all personal items in this place if you can, my iphone6 was stolen at this place from my sons stroller, asked all staff about it, even left phone numbers with the girls up front in case someone turned it in or found it. Long story shot, reported lost/stolen through police, $600.00 value phone, used my find my iphone app, found it in round rock. Some punk ass kid had it, tried to sell it back to me..once police showed up they handed over the phone and came clean about how they got it. Someone got scared once they found out charges were going to be pressed and spilled the beans, Well come to find out they bought it from an employee at Mt. Playmore who "found it". So instead of doing the right thing by turning it in she stole it and sold it, because it was locked and reported stolen thru the app the phone was not accessible to them. It was like a paper weight to her. So avoid taking your belongings and try to avoid leaving your stuff alone. Case closed, reported to the manager, who was going to check cameras from there but he has not called back for a follow up. Majority of the staff are young kids, half of them are not kid friendly, for the younger kids at least, it's more like a hang out for them. Worst experience ever. read more

I am honestly baffled by some of the negative reviews on here so I've decided to address some of the complaints since there is plenty of "shinning star" reviews. This is in no way meant to be an attack, I just want to provide some insight here because I feel like people are missing out. Staffing? Really? Have you been to some of the other places similar to this in Austin? Seems about the same to me. There's no staff at a regular outdoor playground and you don't hear people complain. Seating? Mismatched furniture? Seriously? Go play with your kids. You paid your dollar now have some fun! Unless you're pregnant, then of course you should just hang out. I say this because I saw a pregnant mom who wanted nothing more to play with her son at this place and meanwhile, other parents are too busy on their cell phones. Don't tell me you won't fit because my 6'5" husband got on here with NO issues. Not lying. He especially loved the slides. I assure you, if my 20 month old can do it, so can your 22 month old. It took her a few minutes to warm up to the place (this was all very new to her) but once she got going, there was NO stopping her. Did she want me or Daddy there the whole time? Sure! But at least you CAN be there so go for it. The price? It cheaper than some and roughly the same compared to other kid places. Want some examples? Wazoos is free under 2 with a boring under 2 area but charges $8 for all other children. Jumpoline starts at $5 an hour (more for older kids) and is slightly less each additional hour. Locomotion is only free under 1 year and starts at $7 then jumps to $8 for ages 4 and up. So I fail to see the issue here because it seems like the price is [roughly] the same compared to other places and it's WAY more awesome. So, about our experience? We drove from Kyle (45 minute drive, BTW) to check this place out and it was well worth the trip. My daughter was only 20 months on our first visit making her free so we just had to pay a total of $2 for us parents. There's also an optional locker rental (I think it was $2) which we considered but opted to just take turns with our toddler on the playscape while the other parent stayed with the stuff. If you're the only adult, get the locker; it's cheaper than losing your stuff. We didn't get tokens and do rides, we didn't even play in the infant/toddler area nor did we bother with the arcade games. We literally came just for the playscape, wore our daughter out and took her home. Even if she was over 2 and we had to pay the $4 weekend rate, it would have been more than worth it considering that there are other places in this city that charge far more for less to do. The only thing wrong with this place is the location, which obviously can't be helped. Maybe one day they'll put one down South but in the meantime, I'll still make the 45 minute drive. read more

Mt. Playmore is great! All the negative reviews could pretty much apply to literally any indoor play place in Austin -- busy on weekends, rowdy kids with inattentive parents, less-than-gourmet food, accumulated grime under the playscapes. The thing is, you're not paying for someone to babysit your or other peoples' kids, you're paying for use of the facility! And it's really a great one. It's not super fancy and nothing is really state-of-the-art except for the playscape, and no, their decor choices may not have been yours, but they have obviously put a lot of thought into designing Mt. Playmore and responding to feedback to make it better over the half a year they've been open. ~~~~ The Good: Admission is really inexpensive compared to other indoor play places, especially if you have younger kids and go on weekdays. Arcade tokens and locker rental are dirt cheap too. The playscape is huge and fun for both kids and adults. My husband and I both love playing in it with our 3 year old and 15 month old. Some kids are generally clueless about minding the space around them, but we've never noticed any malicious behavior and we've often been really impressed how kids seem to take it upon themselves to self-police and watch out for the little ones. The toddler area was a little meager when they first opened (I remember reading that they sunk the majority of their money into the main playscape before opening) but I've been really impressed with the additions they've made, including a mini playscape made of the same materials as the large one, an extra roller coaster, ride-on toys, and a big caterpillar tunnel. My kids spend probably half the time in the toddler area and love it, and we like getting a breather after all that climbing! I was happy to read about their disinfectant system; that's pretty cool and state of the art. I've never seen it as trashed as some people describe but hundreds of kids at a time on a weekend might make messes faster than can be cleaned up. That's sort of just the nature of the beast. I'm happier with the level of cleanliness and upkeep at Mt. Playmore than I am with other places ( The arcade is fun -- Mt. Playmore isn't billed primarily as an arcade so I look at it as a bonus. The rides and games are older and occasionally out of order, but the tokens are dirt cheap and you get plenty of plays for your money. We've never bothered collecting the tickets since the prizes are the same standard stuff that you don't really want in your home, but it's a fun thing to do when you're wiped from climbing. We are vegan so we've never eaten any of the food here, but from what I've seen people eating it looks much better than the food at other in play places. Again, I kind of feel like the fact that they even have food for sale is a bonus; some places don't. They put a lot of thought into the family bathrooms, with small toilets and low sinks for kids. It's also nice that there are two of them, in addition to the regular men's and women's rooms. ~~~~ The Bad: The only real negative is that the counter staff have never been very friendly or attentive to us. I'm sure it's a draining job (especially if you're dealing with people like some of these reviewers), but you know, so is most of the service industry. However, the staff that monitor the slides and playscape during busy times are usually great and very friendly. Again, I do NOT expect them to supervise my kids, but they do intervene if things are looking dangerous and keep some semblance of order on the slides. Yes, it gets pretty crazy on weekends. However, this is true of any play place in Austin, and really is only a problem with parents looking for seating -- the playscape itself is plenty big to accommodate weekend crowds and the arcade section never seems that busy. ~~~~ In short, we really love making the occasional trip up from the far south side to visit Mt. Playmore! If it was closer we'd be there far more often. Our kids always leave happy and exhausted and the adults always get a good cardio workout. I think they owners are doing a great job with the finite resources they have, and seem to be consistently refining the experience and making improvements. read more

So, The manager, Ben, declined our party because we had cupcakes and gifts and stated that they don't allow food or gifts unless a room is reserved, yet people had cakes, gifts and cupcakes on the floor tables!!! How ridiculous is that? Makes no sense whatsoever!!!! Well my big family won't be giving you our business!!!!' Ben also contradicted himself when I asked him why those people were allowed on the floor with gifts, cakes and cupcakes, his answer was because they most likely ( emphasis in the "most likely") reserved a room and no longer had the room and were paying customers!I told him, so are we, we are also paying customers!!!!!! This is a great place to take your kids. It is large enough for kids to play around & have a good ol time. There's even a baby/toddler area for little ones to enjoy. Their food selection is quite lovely too. We especially love their pizza. The manager is really sweet and has very good customer service. I am really happy with our last visit. The only complaint I have is for the PARENTS. Please monitor your kids and teach them manners. While I was maneuvering my way around the play area with my niece, we ran into quite a few kiddos who were pushing/hitting other kids. It is not the staff or manager(s) job to discipline your child. $6 for a safe place for my 3 year old to go nuts. Worth EVERY penny. This is literally the only place I can sit and take a break and take my eyes off my son for a few minutes. It's also the only place I'm not only allowed but encouraged to play alongside my son. They also have a black light stamp on each adult/child's arm. Your number matches your kiddo only. This place has liability risk written all over it, it will for sure be closed by Christmas for sure. No supervision for employees which in turn means no supervision for our children. I just counted 19 employees here on a Friday night and only 2 of them appeared to look like they were doing work, the rest involved in conversation with other staff. They really enjoyed themselves, and they burned off at least a quarter of that energy in the hour and a half we were there. Now for the bad and the ugly. ... I have to agree with most of the other reviews. I walk in and hand the girl my cc, and she never once looked me in the eyes. She never said welcome or thank you. She actually seemed like she was already counting down the hours to clock out, and they had just opened. The seating area. .... now that is a whole other story. They have totally inadequate seating for the amount of kids/parents the place can hold. I put my coffee and my son's pull over on a chair and table and sat down. About 30 minutes in, one of my boys needed to use the restroom. I got up to take him to at least go find it. I think I was gone 8 minutes tops. I come back to find my son's pull over laying on one of the regular wooden chairs. My coffee disappeared along with the table and the comfortable cushiony chair i was sitting in. I was kinda pissed once I saw the 2 family perps! Yeah even the 2 mom's kept glancing over Cuzz they knew they were caught! What ever. ...I let em make it this time. Now for the make shift game room. ... what game room? I think maybe they were over budget during the construction, and the game room took it in the nuts. The netted floor was soft in feet and knees, and falling and tripping was a fun experience. And the slides are SUPER fast! They even had one of the workers inside to monitor the kids going down to prevent injuries from colliding. This place is epically awesome! I have two children, ages 4 and 2, and they had so much fun for my daughters 4th birthday. We didn't do a birthday party, but just went as a family. First of all, how cheap was it to get in?! That was great and a bit of a shocker because of how much they played, definitely worth the money! The toddler/baby area was my 2 year olds favorite, full of ride on toys and just a big safe area to run around in. My 4 year old wasn't as interested in the multi level playscape, considering she gets nervous when other kids (mainly big kids) are around her, but she warmed up as soon as my husband and I joined in! Funny because my two year old loved the playscape more than my four year old, and she was always on the opposite side of where we were! The only downfall was the concessions. The food was okay, but the prices... ouch. No wonder it is cheap to get in, they make their moneys worth by food! The arcade was fun. They had some old style games that I remember from my childhood, so it was fun playing them with my children. Plus it is pretty easy to get a simple prize with tickets. My daughter played maybe 5-6 games and with the tickets she won, she was able to get a tiara! One thing that really got to me was the amount of parents just sitting on their phone/tablet/laptop the entire time while their kids were playing. Great fun for our 2.5 year-old for several hours. When he got tired of the obstacle course, we played games at their very decent size arcade and played in the quiet toddler area (for ages 3 and under). Lots of space for parents to sit, relax, and keep an eye out on their kids. If you've got younger kids, keep a close distance. The older kids tend to be rough and unsafe (like climbing up the slides when others are coming down). Perhaps employees can monitor a bit more to prevent accidents from happening.
