Friendly for kids of all ages with different sections offering slides, a lazy river, wave pool, and experiences for all age groups. My daughters (ages 7 and 3) particularly loved the kids slide section and the wave pool. I did see quite a few dead bugs and leaves in the lazy river and wave pool which was a little off putting. They have lockers to store belongings, as well as clean bathrooms and changing rooms onsite. They also offer a variety of food choices which are pretty good & reasonably priced. Very few crowds if you arrive right at opening time. I was happy to see there were no lines at all for the slides. They open a half hour early for season pass members; general admission is 11am. Definitely worth checking out for a day of family fun in the hot TX summer!

Prices haven't changed much which was shocking considering the cost of everything else on the planet has gone up. We had an amazing time. The wave pool didn't seem to be working but it was one small hiccup in an otherwise great day. Two areas it would be great to see more improvement: I do wish they'd offer free ice and/or the ability to bring in more water or that they'd offer water stations. Water gets too hot, too fast and people shouldn't have to pay for that over and over. I also wish they would require everyone in the lazy river to be on tubes. There were people walking through it? Kids were wildly chasing each other, swimming under people, jumping off tubes. It just wasn't safe. We will be back and it was great to see things better at TT!

The workers varied from really nice and helpful to grumpy and appearing to hate their jobs. The place in general is a money pit, but I think you know that going into it. We happened to get in on a BOGO special. Otherwise the price seems crazy high. The roller coaster was one activity that seemed to be running very inefficient. It took forever for them to load the carts. They did jump workers around to different activities so everything isn't always open and the times posted didn't actually match up to when they were open.

That's when we found out that for $30 you could get one hour of free play on non ticketed games. We bought one card and were able to play the Walking Dead rail shooter, the entire campaign of the Halo rail shooter, and some Cruisin' to wrap up the night. It was a Friday night, so they were pretty busy but it's such a huge arcade that it really never is a problem. The staff were all super nice and made me feel welcomed. There is a pretty great selection of games at Tom Foolery. I do wish they had an NBA Jam style arcade machine or more "mature" games like Halo and Walking Dead, but beggars can't be choosers. If you've ever wanted to just be a guy and run through full arcade game campaigns, the Tom's Power Hour deal is absolutely worth it. I will be back one day to beat the Jurassic Park campaign. So, the 3 stars is for the activities experience and not the allergen food experience. If I did rate the food experience, it would have been negative stars, but because I don't expect Austin's to fix it, I am not factoring that into the rating I am giving them. But, I want to write the review to let other gluten free patrons know not to expect any precautions to be taken when preparing the GF pizza. My daughter is 17 and asked for the GF pizza and asked if the cook could change their gloves. The lady said no and she also told my daughter it didn't matter anyway because they would not use foil under the pizza or a clean slicer. So the pizza may as well have been a regular one with that much cross-contamination. The other reviews I saw on yelp about the GF experience made us hopeful that Austin's actually tried. But, that's not the case at all. I have always told my daughter that celiac disease is her cross to bear and not to expect others to cater to her needs. It's always very refreshing to find restaurants that are 100% GF or that take precautions because we know how special that is, but for those that don't, we can't fault them for it because it's not anyone's duty to care for her but us. So, those are places we just don't go to. So, activities are 3 stars, they are average. And food, I did not rate. Those with celiac, eat before you go is my advice. They have huge signs outside that outside food and drink are not allowed. I don't know if they would allow anything to be taken in for those with allergies. It wasn't worth it for us to ask. My daughter went with a group and it was completely paid for, but we would never go back if we had to pay for it.

Their packages are a great deal, you can eat and drink all day (great for the kids to pop in and get a drink or snack when needed and go back out. The salad bar alone is enough reason for me to go back to eat there. Everything was fresh and crisp on the salad bar. The pizzas and other food were replenish non-stop and it was always hot and fresh. They always had cups, ice, and drinks available. I am serious. I'm picky and I can't think of something to complain about here. The rides are always a hit with the kids. Mine will spend 8 or 9 hours there - happily. My husband joked that it should be a place for summer camps. 4 of our group didn't want the buffet and got burgers and taquitos from the restaurant. my husband is quite the food snob and said that the burger was awesome and gave me a bite. I agreed. The bacon was like a thick cut slab of pork belly. If I didn't enjoy the salad bar so much I would definitely get the burger, but I can have the best of both worlds and eat some of his next time. Their inside arcade has so many options and the games all work. I'm just so grateful that this place exists. Austin's management - you're doing an incredible job. We are fans!

An outstanding experience!…read more My family and I came for a birthday celebration and had an AMAZING time! Check-in was easy and effortless with the kiosk. Even our bracelets printed at the same time from the kiosk. The room was spacious and clean, located halfway down the hallway, which we loved because we avoided the elevator traffic noise. The food was very pricey and pretty basic. Once we ate, we headed to the park, which was an experience! The lazy river was a nice pace and the temperature was perfect. The rides were lots of fun and the lines weren't long at all. We also explored the adults only area, which was the cherry on top. It was quiet and the drinks were excellent. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly frustrating and disorganized. Our point of contact was Jeselle Corpuz. For over a month, we were repeatedly told by Jeselle they were "working on our group rate," yet they still expected our group to commit to staying there without knowing the actual cost. We would receive emails at the end of the business day with no new information -- only that they were still working on it. Keep in mind, this was coming from the manager of group sales. We emailed several times and rarely received responses. We also left multiple voice messages and never received callbacks. We even contacted corporate, only to be referred back to the same person who had been unhelpful throughout the process. Communication was slow, unclear, and lacked professionalism. After waiting weeks with no concrete answers, we finally decided to move our troop's trip elsewhere. We ended up booking another waterpark, reserving a different hotel, and even adding another group activity -- all with far better customer service and much quicker responses. It was especially disappointing because our Girl Scouts voted for this as their end-of-year trip. We were prepared to bring not only the girls, but also their families -- which would have meant a very large group and significant business for Kalahari. Unfortunately, the lack of competence, communication, and ability to provide even basic information made it impossible to move forward. In my 10 years of planning end-of-year troop trips, this is the first time we have been unable to give the girls the trip they requested and voted on. Over the years, we've successfully planned trips to Great Wolf Lodge, Epic Waters, Jellystone, SeaWorld, the Fort Worth Zoo, NASA, Moody Gardens, and many other destinations, and we have never experienced such a frustrating and poorly managed booking process as we did with Kalahari.
