The workers varied from really nice and helpful to grumpy and appearing to hate their jobs. The place in general is a money pit, but I think you know that going into it. We happened to get in on a BOGO special. Otherwise the price seems crazy high. The roller coaster was one activity that seemed to be running very inefficient. It took forever for them to load the carts. They did jump workers around to different activities so everything isn't always open and the times posted didn't actually match up to when they were open.

That's when we found out that for $30 you could get one hour of free play on non ticketed games. We bought one card and were able to play the Walking Dead rail shooter, the entire campaign of the Halo rail shooter, and some Cruisin' to wrap up the night. It was a Friday night, so they were pretty busy but it's such a huge arcade that it really never is a problem. The staff were all super nice and made me feel welcomed. There is a pretty great selection of games at Tom Foolery. I do wish they had an NBA Jam style arcade machine or more "mature" games like Halo and Walking Dead, but beggars can't be choosers. If you've ever wanted to just be a guy and run through full arcade game campaigns, the Tom's Power Hour deal is absolutely worth it. I will be back one day to beat the Jurassic Park campaign. Their packages are a great deal, you can eat and drink all day (great for the kids to pop in and get a drink or snack when needed and go back out. The salad bar alone is enough reason for me to go back to eat there. Everything was fresh and crisp on the salad bar. The pizzas and other food were replenish non-stop and it was always hot and fresh. They always had cups, ice, and drinks available. I am serious. I'm picky and I can't think of something to complain about here. The rides are always a hit with the kids. Mine will spend 8 or 9 hours there - happily. My husband joked that it should be a place for summer camps. 4 of our group didn't want the buffet and got burgers and taquitos from the restaurant. my husband is quite the food snob and said that the burger was awesome and gave me a bite. I agreed. The bacon was like a thick cut slab of pork belly. If I didn't enjoy the salad bar so much I would definitely get the burger, but I can have the best of both worlds and eat some of his next time. Their inside arcade has so many options and the games all work. I'm just so grateful that this place exists. Austin's management - you're doing an incredible job. We are fans!

We had tickets for one attraction each but couldn't even use them. There was virtually no staff present at most areas such as pull tables, mini golf, even nobody at the gift shop/prize shop. The food at the buffet was also very sad. Mac&cheese was tasteless; all pizza options had huge bubbles of dough, meaning it was not cooked properly, also pretty much flavorless. We skipped salad bar and desserts. We didn't spend much time there and left in less than an hour.

It is large but sheesh! The pizza itself was fine... nothing to write home about. My kids really enjoyed the rides. The waits weren't too long. The AC unit was loud. Construction woke us up the first morning. We heard big trucks beeping and backing up constantly @8am. Then 830am a drilling that we had no idea where it was coming from. Us and other guests on floor 4 peeking were our heads out of our rooms trying to see the source of the disruption. The hallways of the hotel smelled musty, and stale. No complaints with our room smell, the staff serviced it when asked, and room service request were responded to promptly. The grotto for 21 and up was a nice vibe, but the drinks were watered down and overpriced. Each drink we got was around $24 and not a strong alcohol content, with a lot of ice. At the waterpark, you use your wristband to check out towels, and you turn them in at the end. And you get a text confirmation as to whether or not you have any outstanding towel returns. The drinks at the piano bar were pricy too, but tasted better than the drinks we had at any other area at the resort. There was a singer/pianist that was working for tips and taking song requests and that was a nice vibe There is a Starbucks downstairs, but the menu is different from the regular Starbucks and the drinks Do not taste the same (I believe they used Starbucks products, but I don't believe they were Starbucks trained baristas). If you're staying at the resort, the waterpark is included with your stay. Multiple full service restaurants on site, including a burger place, a Mexican place, and a buffet style breakfast place. You truly do not need to leave the resort once you are here, but be prepared to pay a lot of money if you get your food and drinks here

Yes, the price does add up quickly if you opt for snacks, drinks, 3D glasses, etc, but what else would you expect? The flat rate price per car is highly reasonable when it load it up with kids/adults/dogs/cats/emotional support iguanas that are just jazzed to see the show. Honestly, the technical aspect is really impressive. I cannot for the life of me understand how they can sync the lights to the music, broadcast through your car radio, to always perfectly line up no matter how long it takes to drive through. It's incredibly well orchestrated, no pun intended. As a jaded millennial, this brought out a child-like wonderment that I thought I had lost years ago... At least for 30 - 45 minutes.
