Requested move from WA state to WV. Price was $1757 paid with credit card and cashier's check for $878 for day of move and day of delivery. Came and said I would owe ANOTHER $1899.60 plus a total of $1190.40 on delivery. BIG SCAM as NOTHING was added that would have increased price. Took six weeks and multiple phone calls to get items. I've moved multiple times, including an interstate move and this is by far the worst experience with movers I have every encountered. This is for MSN Logistics, DOT #3137367. Several issues below: - I was not told that my items would sit in a storage unit. I was not informed of the location of the storage unit, temperature conditions, or anything else. There is no where in my contract that mentions a storage unit. - My items were picked up on 6/13/22 and I had a delivery date of 6/25/22. On the evening of 6/25, I called them and asked where my things were. They said they didn't have a mover and no ETA on when I will receive my things. I called them back again on 6/27 and 6/29 but still no ETA. On 7/1 they called me to finally give me a window of when I should receive my things. - There was significant damage to multiple items including a 55" TV, Peloton bike, TV stand, standing lamp, and grey storage box. - A weekender duffle bag/tote full of clothes and shoes is completely gone and all they said was to file a claim. I don't even know if I have enough time to spend on this horrid experience but I'll do my best. This review is based on an experience with Graceful Moving contracted with MSN Logistics Group/Best Quality Movers. We were quoted a price for our move from Chicago to Houston by someone named Matt with Graceful Moving. It seemed reasonable and slightly cheaper than competitors. We did our research before we decided to hire them. Checked reviews, compared pricing, reviewed the fine print, etc. Based on what we found, we decided Graceful movers was our best option. Boy were we wrong. Dispatch called us a day before our move date as promised to confirm the items we were having picked up. We originally were going to sell a few items but then thought we'd add them to our items for pick up instead. For a dining room table, 6 dining room chairs, a painting, a baby crib, and a small toddler bed, IT WAS AN EXTRA $1600! None of those items even total that so we ended up giving the stuff away. That was the first red flag. The movers arrived on 4/19. They were late and smelled like strong weed. Nothing against weed, but I'm assuming that's why they were late. They initially seemed to do a good job but my wife and I were in and out so didn't watch them do everything. MISTAKE but I'll explain why in a bit. They didn't tell us until the day of that any liquid items had to be thrown out to minimize risk of leaking, which I understand, but that should have been explicitly explained beforehand. We threw away over $300 worth of liquid goods from soap to cleaning supplies. But in all honesty, and in comparison to the next half of the move, this is the good part. The movers took 15 total days to deliver our stuff. The salesman made it seem like we'd get everything the day of or the day after our scheduled delivery date of 4/25. But not even this was as a bad as the actual delivery. The delivery guy calls me when he's about 8 hours away, which is wrong because they are supposed to call when 24 hours away. He urges me to make sure I pay cash for the transaction because he has to pay other movers to help, We call MSN Logistics and they told us we could pay Zelle like we did before, so we did. He arrives. He stalls with getting things off the truck because he is waiting for his help to get there. I dropped $20 in cash on accident and he found it but waited for an 30 minutes before telling me. Apparently, he saw me do it but didn't say anything initially. He them comes up to me after using my bathroom without asking permission, "Did you drop $20? I figured it was yours and it was what you were going to give me for tip. I will give it back to you" Lol. What a joke. Almost an hour rolls by with still no help to be found so he starts taking everything off the truck himself. None of the boxes were labeled, a lot of stuff was filthy, several items were broken and I am sure we are missing things. The other movers showed up 2 hours later. By the this time, the first guy is exhausted, and the 2 movers I assume were NOT employees of MSN Logistics. They were nice and helped get the job done faster so this review isn't really a reflection on them. The move included staging furniture as it was which the driver lazily attempted to do but he might as well had not. They didn't have ANY moving tools such as box cutter, scissors, pen, etc so they kept asking us for everything to help them do THEIR job. Several items will still wrapped in protective garments which he was supposed to take with him but he didn't. He lut the primary bedroom bed together incorrectly for sure because when I laid down, the fell right to the ground. There is something strange about the moving industry. There is lots of extortion, foul behavior, and under the table antics that these companies are getting away with. Please, if you are doing a cross country move, sell as much as you can or move it yourself. This is an experience I never want again for the rest of my life. BOTH COMPANIES SUCK. read more

Nancy and Alex We used this company to move from Ohio to Florida and we had a bad experience with the packing, they did not do it as a moving company should do, 50% of our furniture arrived scratched and some broken and also in their warehouses they lost one new 6' ladder and they were not responsible and the only thing they told us to proceed to claim the insurance did not seem to us that they told us this since it did not break but was stolen from their warehouses and they were not responsible. Originally quoted me $8000, did a walk through and then it went up to $15,000. Loaded truck and then said it took up more cubic feet, and it ended up costing me $20,000. They unloaded at new location very fast, and items were broke and I never received one of my TV's. Make sure you mark inventory sheet correctly. They are horrible. read more

Please please please do not use this company. This company is a mess. They did thousands of dollars in damage to my property, and they are trying to give me 60 bucks for my claim. The whole move costed me 19000 dollars, which by the way started at 9700. They charge me extra for my motorcycle and my piano, which both got damaged during the move. When they finally brought my items to the state I moved to, they would not pull it off of the truck until I paid the difference, so I didn't really know how much damage they caused until I finished unpacking. If I didn't pay they were going to charge me for every hour it was on the truck. Be aware, they only cover your items for a minimal amount, some as low as 20 cents per lbs, so know that is what you will get back. Read the fine print. I never write bad reviews, but this is a must. If I could rate it a zero, I would. Each time the movers showed up to help I was charged a random $300 for some extra fee or they wouldn't move it. Then, my stuff was in holding and took weeks to get there. When it all arrived a majority of it was ruined. The man delivering my stuff was so mean, refusing to give my stuff to me without an extra $300. Ended up paying a random kid off the street to help him move my stuff. I would rate this company a zero or negative stars if I could. There is not enough time to fully describe the 30 day nightmare we went through with this cross-country move. Please beware that they are deceitful, will broker your move multiple times, hold your belongings "hostage" in storage and ask for an additional $1600 to get "local" people to deliver your items after they did not properly contact you in enough time to set-up a delivery if you live in a busy downtown city as we do and had specified multiple times the criteria to deliver in the city. We thought the nightmare would end since on day 30 our belongings got delivered. What we could not believe was the condition of our belongings, broken/damaged furniture, crushed boxes and the list goes on. That was not the worst of it though, because then it got weird. One of the movers kept arguing in Spanish with another one then just up and walked out and did not return. I then noticed an open beer can outside my condo door wrapped in a white napkin, still about a 3rd full and my husband mentioned that all 3 of them seemed to smell of alcohol which would account for some of the odd behavior and arguing in front of us. As bad as all of this was I then find out the next day they also were yelling and being verbally abusive to the front desk staff in my building. I was also advised that staff witnessed one of them sleeping in the back of the moving truck, multiple times our boxes being kicked by the movers and thrown around as if they were playing a soccer game. As if all of this wasn't bad enough I then was advised by maintenance staff that they smelled heavy alcohol from the moving truck and on all 3 movers and that one of them had gone into a staff only trash area to which the maintenance staff investigated to find an open box with multiple beer cans (same type as found by my door), food waste and feces. I cannot give you enough warning against dealing with this company and also be warned they are listed as MSN Logistics but also go by Best Quality Movers, which is rich that they would even use quality anywhere in their name. MSN Logistic is by far the scummiest company I have ever dealt with. It took them three times to pick up my belongings that were equivalent the size of a single car garage. It took them two trips to deliver my goods to Florida and many times were stolen. I had a hose reel that I saw on their truck and their delivery driver stole it. They tell you to file a claim with a company that is not an insurance company. Their workers are all nice but most can't speak English. They stole many of my belongings. DO NOT USE!!!! As many have mentioned, it starts of well. The pick up went smoothly and our items fit beautifully in the truck. The delivery was supposed to arrive 5 days later in South Carolina. We had no idea it was going to be off loaded and stored to come only when they found another carrier weeks later after hours upon hours of time on the phone trying to track down our stuff. Finally, our goods were then loaded into another truck in the most outrageous, haphazard way. Boxes were crushed and numerous pieces of furniture were broken. I lost hundreds of dollars of my collectibles not because of how they were packed but because of how they were moved! I had tried to purchase additional insurance and was convinced not to purchase. I would give this company ZERO stars if I could! I arragned a move through another company & MSN is who showed up, since they were contracted by the moving service. They showed up late, not the agreed upon time & when I called their office to get a status update, I spoke to an extremely rude female customer service agent. The movers themselves did a horrible job & were also careless & rude. I know my items went to their storage facility, since I had a few days before getting to my new location in another state. I was never told where the storage facility was, but was told that my items would be at my new location within a week or two, which was agreed upon in the contract I signed, which also had my new move date on it. WEEKS passed & I had to constantly call & try to e-mail to get an answer on an eta. Finally THREE weeks later, they called to tell me that my stuff would arrive in a few days. I was never given a window, just told a few days, so that meant I had NO IDEA exactly when they would show up, which was a HUGE issue, since I was starting a new job & would need to take time off work. For the delivery, a completely different moving company showed up, with only 2 guys to move ALL of my stuff. They were rude, did a bad job, MANY items were damaged or missing & all I was told was that I could file a claim, but of course they wanted their payment for the crappy job they did. When I called the MSN office to find out how to file the claim & complain about the crappy service I received on BOTH moves, I was given the run around by a very rude Israeli guy who was apparently the manager. This place is shady AF & if I had ANY idea that they were going to do such a terrible job on my pick up & use a third party for the delivery, I NEVER would've booked my move with them! read more

This company does not deserve any stars. Beware of their illegal business prqctices. I have relocated several times for work over the pay 20 years. This by far was the absolute worst moving experience. I signed a contract with Illinois Moves Inc. They subcontracted with MSN Logistics Group unbeknownst to me until my move date. I completed their inventory to obtain a quote for my move. The inventory does not list everything that you will be charged for. For example, the inventory lists lamp, but there is no category for a lamp shade. Because the lamp shade also takes up space on the truck, you are charged. I even sent pictures of what was to be moved. My actual move invoice was 3x the amount of my proposal. I was told that an estimate is only an estimate and that I tripled the space on the truck. Well, if the estimate lacks the proper categories, that will always be the case. The movers for the pick-up portion where late. Since they missed the elevator reservation window for my building, a 2 .5 hour move turned into 7 hours. My building threatened to have their truck towed, so I did not have time to review the paper work before they left because the tow truck was in the way. When I finally reviewed it the next morning, I discovered extra charged for long hallways and other fees. I contacted the company and asked to resolve the issues before the delivery. I received a response that someone was looking into it. When my delivery arrived, I contacted the company again to ask about the status of my complaint. I was told that because I signed the paperwork there is nothing they could do accept to take the truck back to Chicago and resolve it later. Upon arrival, several items were damaged. They constantly asked me what certain items were that their colleagues packed upon pick-up since they were large items. They couldn't reassemble a Murphy bed and they botched the reassembly of another bed. The company that I hired outsourced to MSN Logistics. I had a really terrific experience with Best Quality Movers, particularly Duane and his crew. This is going to sound like an insider plug and it isn't. Absolutely third-party and unsolicited. These guys were first rate and I wish my employees acted so professionally. Duane contacted me no less than 5 or 6 times to inform me of his schedule and exactly when he would be there. In addition to totally having his act together and his paperwork together, they were unloaded in 15 minutes. Watching him navigate his truck through our tight neighborhood was amazing to watch. Not only that, he realized a couple of stools had not been dropped off so he turned his truck around and came back that evening just to drop them off. Most people wouldn't have done that. This was a terrible experience from pick up to delivery - the timelines were scheduled for pick up and delivery and the drivers were late by hours/days without communication. I had several broken and missing items at delivery - the drivers tried to give me several boxes that were not mine and forgot several items in the truck I had to go find myself. In addition...all of my pieces of large furniture were put together incorrectly and multiple random screws/bolts were left strewn about my new home that were supposed to be securing my items together...I had to disassemble and reassemble on my own after paying for this service. For the expense...this was such a disappointing and stressful experience. The office was cold and unavailable when needed for the delivery date and there also seemed to be very poor communication between MSN and the contract companies for delivery. We were initially told 2-7 business days. It's been a month. Every time we call (and WE have to call them--they don't bother setting expectations or giving you updates) they are rude and opaque. It's been a different delivery date every time we call, and they've blown through each one. They gaslight us on the phone, making us feel like WE'RE crazy and out of line for wanting to know where the F all our earthly possessions are. "illinois movers inc" which could show up as abc movers, best quality movers, best 'cost' movers, who knows what other fake company, leverages msn logistics to store and ship your possessions. so after you've been screwed by one of their fake businesses, your stuff goes into the hands of these cronies. you are almost guaranteed to lose money or your possessions with these people. they are awful on email and phone the entire time and pay the cheapest person to pick your stuff up, throw it in a truck, and bring it to your new home. they should honestly be looked into for bad business practices. read more

Our cross country move from Chicago to San Diego could not have been any worse. I can say without a doubt that MSN Logistics (Best Quality Movers) is the worst possible moving company that anyone could work with. From what I can tell, they are the same company with different names which makes it easy for them to blame the other entity for anything that goes wrong throughout the process. Their estimates for what you request to be moved are so far off that when the movers show up for pick up they immediately indicate that not everything will fit so they can extort more money from you to move everything. I watched as a mover slammed down my boy's bikes in the truck. When I asked them what that is about they told me that "he has anger issues". Maybe you should be in another line of work if you are going to destroy other's property? The movers do not take the proper inventory of what gets loaded on the truck so when your property is lost they blame you because you signed off on their chicken scratch receipt. They lost a queen sized mattress that was later found in their lost and found! They pick up your things and essentially go radio silent for weeks. If you try to get an update as to what is happening, they can't give you an answer. If you call them too many times they will block your phone number. Even though it was in the contract, the movers that delivered the items did not want to carry things in because of a flight of stairs or assemble the furniture. They drove away even though their job wasn't completed. They delivered items that did not belong to us so I feel bad for those people, but chances are they got some of our lost things. The items that did make the move were not just scratched, but chipped and gouged. Almost every piece of wood furniture was damaged. Mattresses were ripped. Glassware was shattered. A metal stand was bent and twisted. When we complained about the damage, they told us that our things were "already damaged before the move". Who spends thousands to move broken trash cross country?!! Our things couldn't have been more wrecked if we told someone to intentionally destroy them. read more

I wish the other reviews were posted prior to my experience. When I tried to confirm scheduling initial pick up, dates and times changed. I flew into Chicago to oversee the pick up. It was changed to a date/time I would not be available, and then was scolded, saying I should have changed my flight (to accommodate them). I was over charged for my items, and when I inquired about the situation, I was verbally abused by Oscar. When I asked for the name of his supervisor, he said, "I don't have a manager." As of today, after multiple calls for updates, lies about loading and transfers, and two full weekends of no show/no call, I wait again to see if anyone or any of my stuff arrives anytime from Friday to Monday. I can hardly wait to see what shape my items will be in when it does arrive. My experience is so similar to the other reviews posted. I was considering contacting the BBB, but will probably receive my items just before any action is taken. It is a shame that others will endure the same terrible experience. Don't call it customer service - it is far from it. read more
