If I could give them negative stars I would! Do not waste your time or energy with these people. It's absolutely pointless. Use anyone else. My fabricator in town showed me their beautiful products that were in my price range and in stock. I drove all the way from Tucson. I knew I was running late for my appointment since 1-10 was closed so I called. They answered and said it wouldn't be a problem someone would be there to show me around and the wear house would be open for me to see slabs. I came inside and told them I had an appointment and waited no one said anything to me. They just sat on their phones. I said where is the quartz. They pointed across the room hardly looking at me. I walked over there and saw a few small a samples. I walked back to the desk and asked where are the slabs? One lady said the wear house is closed. I said no it's not I called before I drove 2 hours to get here. She got on her phone and walkie talkie proceeding to do what looked like work. I walked back over to the samples & then back to the desk again after a few minutes. I asked to see the slabs again and they pointed to the doors of the wear house saying go look in there, no mention of hard hats or safety gear. I was confused in the wear house it was massive I didn't see any labels & or any way to navigate the space. So back to the desk I went this time there were 4-5 girls all sitting at the desk on their phones talking about puppies and dresses in Spanish. I asked can someone please show me around the wear house nothing is labeled. One girl flipped her hair and walked off others rolled their eyes. One girl got up to help finally I thought. She showed us around and we put hard hats on. They wouldn't flip slabs over with the claw so we couldn't even see half the slabs in the wear house. We still found a slab of quartz in stock we liked. I asked about the price & price difference between it and the one we thought we wanted (which appeared blue & yellow in person grey & white on the computer). She responded with a we don't sell the quartz you have to go through a fabricator. I said yes I have one & they still wouldn't give me a price difference. They emailed the fabricator and the fabricator told me there was a $2,000 price difference after I had already left Phoenix!!! The entire trip was pointless! read more

Background - My husband and I are remodeling our " forever/retirement" home in Las Vegas. It's difficult to choose a countertop based upon small samples despite the visualizer tool on the MSI website. Went to 3 of the 5 MSI Las Vegas locations listed but 2 didn't actually carry MSI products and 1 had a small box of 5 x 5 outdated tiles. Then I tried a couple of other places (competitors) in town - had a horrible experience with one and another was just too expensive. Checked MSI website for distribution centers and had a couple of choices - Phoenix or Las Angeles. I decided to drive to Phoenix. Read the reviews and it seemed a good idea to make an appointment ( did so - 9 a.m.) Packed an overnight bag and hopped into the car. MSI Experience - Didn't want to get caught in traffic so ate/drank breakfast while driving downtown to Roosevelt location. I arrived feeling anxious on Friday morning 02/21/2020 with backsplash, cabinet door, flooring samples and coffee stains on my white shirt. Walked in and all that built-up angst melted immediately upon meeting Tony Quiroz at the front desk. He listened to my story, we laughed about the coffee and shared his knowledge as well as time. Tony was the first person in this remodeling process that actually understood the level of stress that comes with this type of project and the importance of seeing the entire slab (he demonstrated better insight than our project manager). He has a wealth of knowledge from working with the materials ( granite, quartz, marble, porcelain, tile, etc.). He actually took the time to help me select the exact slab of granite from the website, walked me through how to order, created a pre-selection form, and helped me load samples into the car. Unfortunately, our general contractor uses the CA location so we couldn't order from AZ. They've also been having a great deal of difficulty with the countertops ordered from CA coming in on time or being lost in shipping. Upon returning home, I shared this experience with the project manager in hopes the company would consider using the AZ MSI distribution center. I feel confident that all these issues would either be erased or efficiently be dealt with if Tony was their contact person. read more

It's been a dramatic decline in service, information, products, and reliability. The last phone call today with Melvin J (or so he says his name) made me write this review and never return to this store or send my homeowners. I called to check stock and price for a quartzite countertop, which I was first told 3 were in stock and I needed 3. I asked to place a hold on the 3 until I could come see them tomorrow, after a few questions to me he then said never mind they are not here at all without even attempting to try and set eyes on the slab in the warehouse, he said that was not something he would be willing to do..? There was some mis-hearing of what he was telling me so I asked him to repeat to make it clear for me when he thought it be a better idea to raise his voice, and the phone call ended with zero suggestions, zero time of arrival for new product, just nothing. He also made it very clear to me Ara Cruz (their competitor) is where I'll be bringing my business moving forward. read more

This was the first time we have been to MSI which was recommended by our contractor, Rock-Bottom Stone. We were impressed as soon as we pulled into the parking lot, we saw a beautiful building and a clean parking lot in a nice location. We were immediately greeted by a nice young woman at the reception desk who helped us check in and she told us where to go to see the items we were looking for. Once there Jose came by to ask if we had any questions, which we did. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Jose was very professional and willing to help and answer every question we had. The showroom and slab area were very comfortable and relaxing unlike other stone showrooms that have no air-conditioning in their slab areas. We will definitely recommend MSI to anyone looking for stone, granite, counter tops and flooring. read more

My landscape designer had me come in to choose a ledge stone for our bench and she recognized the travertine paver sample I brought in. The only downside they don't have samples. I drive from 64th St & T bird to 44 ave and Roosevelt with the numbers of two travertines from their website that might work. I go up to the desk and ask if I can see a sample. She says they don't stock everything. Ok. She starts looking for them on her PC, the guy behind the counter starts to help her. She then says "they are discontinued". That is all she said. I tried to use this company's online form to send them an inquiry with the intent to buy a product that I saw at their website. Their online form was non-operational so I sent an email. They ignored my email (that was March, it is now June). That has happened three times to me with 3 separate companies within the past few months. Is the economy so good that those companies can afford to ignore a hot lead? If a company tries but ends up providing bad service I will take into account in my review such things as did I end up with a good product at a better-than-average price but the service sucked or did the company have a rep who was having a bad day but took corrective action to ensure better service in the future. However I must be honest and give zero stars to a company who doesn't even make a feeble attempt to take care of a potential customer. I am not going to get in my car and drive 20 miles at $3.50/gallon for gas only to find out a store doesn't sell what I want. This is the internet era and it is not only to my benefit but the store's benefit to use online services to save time and expense. Why would a store bother to have a website if they don't read their emails, or worse, simply choose to ignore them if they don't think the order will be big enough to spend their time? read more

BIG ATTITUDE from the front desk female every time I have gone in, and she is the first person you meet for this company. This time I asked her if I should be doing my business another way that I was unfamiliar with and told her I felt like I was bothering her. She just got a vacant look and acted like I was an idiot. My client was appalled at the attitude this person gave off. Not only the front desk. I recently had to pick up 4 boxes of tile and I am aware that the mornings are packed with other contractors trying to get material so I waited until 2pm, I literally was the only person in the pick up lot and still had to wait for 25min....really? It just seems like a lot of employees but no one really working. Basically there is NO customer service here, so if you can deal with the attitude and the poor way things are run then the pricing is worth it. read more

But they have nice exotic selections that other places have not even heard of. Not crowded and good Customer service. You will need to purchase through your fabricator though because they do not sell to public. read more

We had a terrible experience here. First they don't sell to the public so our contractor had us go there to select counter and tile material. They provided little to no help as we looked at samples of both. Once we finalized our selection and went to order desk we were told they would hold the order for our contractor to pay and pick up. We weren't told (and neither was our contractor told until AFTER it was paid for) that they didn't actually have it and it would be days before they could get it here from CA. Then they shorted the order and we had to repeat another 4 day wait while the box of tile was shipped from CA. I would never do business with them and would recommend shopping somewhere that you can have confidence in them telling you the truth up front about what they do and don't have. read more

Customer Service is terrible! Working for a GC before, every time I would call it was hard to understand them on the phone and they never even seemed to know the correct information. Now as a GC myself, I have tried getting set up with them to order some slabs but they don't seem to want our business. I responded to the questionnaire to set up an account on the 20th of August and had to call over a week later asking why we have not heard anything. I was told it would only take 2-3 days. They made up excuses and then they won't respond to emails. I am still waiting for an account and now my clients don't even want to deal with MSI! read more

My husband and I are building a home and needed to pick out the granite. Our builder directed us to MSI and we stopped by on a Saturday. When we got there, the front desk receptionist seemed to be having a bad day and I had to repeat myself several times just to get my information in the system. Once inside, we browsed the tile as we waited roughly 15 minutes. Finally, Lana called my name and said she was ready to help. She informed me that we were considered a walk-in and customer with appointments take priority, so she'd be able to walk us through the granite but we wouldn't have much time before her next appointment. Lucky for us, we knew exactly what we wanted and were quick to point out the three different slabs we liked best. Lana wrote this down for us and put together a quote sheet that could be sent to our fabricator. Lana was very helpful and friendly. I called back a few weeks later and told her we picked our granite and wanted to schedule an appointment to come in and pick our exact slabs. Unfortunately, she couldn't do the scheduling and had to transfer us to the receptionist. We waited on hold 15 minutes before Lana came back on asking if we'd been helped. She told me she'd have the receptionist call us back. Well, a day went by and the receptionist never called. So I called back and Lana said she was disappointed and would go to talk to the receptionist. The receptionist got on the phone really quick and we scheduled our appointment. The team was very helpful when we picked out our slabs and everything went smoothly. Overall, the 2 out of 3 employees we worked with were wonderful. I would highly recommend Lana as she was super nice, friendly, and helpful. They really need to reexamine the receptionist though. Since the receptionist is the first point of contact, it should be a welcome point. If it wasn't for Lana, the whole experience would have been sour. A huge thank you to Lana!! read more

If I could give this place a minus star, I would. Went there yesterday to try and find some granite for our kitchen. The staff, from the front desk to the sales people, acted like it was a pain to deal with customers. The sales person, and I use that term loosely, could not wait to get back to her desk and eat. The heck of it is we did find a slab we liked, but I'll be damned if I will buy it from them. We are taking to sample to AZ tile in hopes of finding something similar. As I was sitting in my truck in 105° for the second day in a row, I was thinking that this is the worst experience shopping for stone ever. The prior day I ordered, paid for, received a receipt and verified an order before I drove 40 minutes to pick it up. Everything was in stock. When I arrived and waited my turn, I was told that there was a problem with the order and to go wait in the lounge. 45 minutes later Mr Guzman says we're good to go. He gives me a number to put on my vehicle and tells me to go wait outside. It didn't take long with the blistering temperatures and standing on concrete to realize that this sucks. Finally 25 minutes later, a kid drives up on a forklift with four little boxes of something that belongs to somebody else, but was not what I ordered. So, back inside I go to find out what's going on. A gentleman radios a couple people. I don't know what they say, but he tells me they figured it out and to go wait outside. Meanwhile, there's another couple inside complaining that they were given he wrong material and had to bring it back. The guy they were talking to didn't seem interested in helping them get the correct product. It was more of an inconvenience to him. So, another 30 minutes go by in the blistering heat and the forklift shows up with a sealed crate and 6 loose boxes shrink wrapped on top. He told me that there are two of these crates. At 1700 lbs I was pushing the limits of my truck, so could only take one. Today I returned to pick up the other crate. While waiting inside, Mr Guzman sarcastically belittled a customer. When the customer got upset, he just told him to "Relax". 15 minutes later I got helped, was given a number and told to go wait outside. 45 minutes go by and a man walks up and said I took everything the prior day. I asked him how much I took and how much I ordered. He said, " I DONT KNOW". WTF? How can you tell someone they took everything when you don't know what they took and how much they ordered? He left, I waited. Another 30 minutes goes by and he brings out 6 small boxes of tile, not another crate? This fulfilled my order. Another WTF! The forklift guy told me there were two crates, the reason I made a second trip. I could have easily taken 6 more small boxes of tile. Unfortunately when they are in a crate, you can't count them. So, if you want to be treated like shit by people who don't know what they're doing, wait in the blistering AZ heat while they try to figure out your order and not get any better pricing than other places in town that have good selections, then come see these people. Or look for other independent dealers (Not big box stores like lowes) and you will get much better service. It can't get worse. read more

We were helped by Christina who made our experience fun, easy, simplified, accurate, and the end result was all positive compliments. We are so thrilled with our kitchen remodel. Know that she communicated immediately and closely with our fabricator stone renovations and it made the process that much easier. I would go there again. We are in the process of a full kitchen and bath remodel and for any of you out there that have ever gone through this know how painstaking picking out countertops can be. It took THREE weeks for my wife and I to finally come to agreement on one and we LOVED it. We decided to take a trip over to their facility to view a full slab to make sure we liked it as much as the sample. It was quite a hike from our home to the showroom so we made sure to call ahead to endure it was available and it wouldn't be a wasted trip. After being passed to three different people on the phone, we were speaking with what seemed to be a rep who wasn't to familiar with their colors, our conversation was something out of an Abbot and Costello skit, but we finally were told our color was available. We made the 40 minute trek to the facility and were anxiously walking to see what possibly could be our next countertop. We entered and spoke to the 2 women at the front desk and told them our color we wished to see and the one gal said sure just a moment however the other one, an older woman with black framed glasses dirty blonde hair and a serious uncaring attitude and in a firm condescending tone said "YOU CAN"T SEE THAT, it is a new color and they require appointments!". We infirmed them we just got off the phone with them and nothing was said of this over the phone and they were well aware of the color we wished to see....the woman just glared at me as if to say I don't care. Needless to say we will not be using this company to get out slabs no matter how much we loved the color we want to deal with a company that cares about their customers as well...we live on our first impressions and they did not put forth a good one at all. read more
