I had somewhat of a complicated move a full storage unit and a second location for pick up. I said I had a budget within the range he gave me and wanted to stay close to it as possible. Levi gave me a call prior to meeting me and said that they were there. David, Christopher and Levi were outstanding. They were quick, careful with my possessions, were quick, kind and courteous. I was only $22 over my budget. I was happy to tip them so they could buy themselves a sub and a beer for a job. Well done. Short Version: Broke tons of stuff. Quoted $800, showed up and said that it shouldn't take too…read morelong. Billed $1400. Not even remotely competent Longer Version: Talked to Curtis. He seemed great and he gave what I thought was a fair quote. We were moving a basement suite and had 40-50 boxes and few other large items (dresser, wardrobe etc.) They showed up early, seemed courteous and professional. Assessed the situation and said that everything looked good. We had everything in boxes, labelled and organized. They said 2 hours to get it out at the most. Then things went downhill...fast. The two workers started arguing that about whether they should bring another guy to help. The one said they shouldn't but eventually they asked me if they should. I let them know it was fine because I like to trust people to do a good job. They said it wouldn't be more expensive because although I have to pay for each person, they would be more efficient. Reasonable. Noon rolls around and they're still not packed. Remember they said 2 hours tops then brought in another guy to help. So, it should be way under 2 hours, but we are at 4+. I started to notice that the new guy they brought has been on his phone most of the time. Seems like he's putting out fires things for Low Budget Moving. Fair enough, but not really something I want to pay for. The other guys don't really seem to be moving boxes and working hard when I see them in my suite, but when I go up, then their just chatting and doing nothing. I think this was the chief the reason that 2 hours for 2 people became 5 hours for 3 people. That is on the cost side of things, but that's not all. When they showed up they said they would insure only solid wood furniture to be moved without damage. They didn't want to insure cheap IKEA furniture or already packed boxes. That seems fair to me. They broke 2 solid wood pieces of furniture. Replaced none and offered no compensation. One table they admitted to breaking. They just fell on it and broke it. Admitted it and did nothing. The China cabinet they refused to admit they broke but kind of in the same way that a child with chocolate on their face rufuses to admin they are responsible for the missing chocolate. They took some parts of the cabinet and said they'd look into replacing it, but then ghosted me. Lastly, they just sucked at moving. I have a hundred stories from the day but the one that illustrates it best is this. We asked them to move a wardrobe into a corner that they had placed in the middle of the room. It need to be moved about 2 meters. They were struggling to move it, crawling around on their knees, pushing it then putting it down, then and trying to figure out how to move it. Eventually after my wife and watching for a while, we just moved it. It took about 15 seconds for us (minus the few minutes of watching them struggle to do their job). We aren't strong, just healthy 30-year-olds who aren't getting paid by the hour. All in all they were just not competent at the basic task, did not actually work, and broke or damaged a lot of items. Try someone else. Literally any one.

She was only provided with two. the two that she had were two young guys who spent more time having a conversation with each other and arguing in another language, then getting stuff done. when the truck was finally packed it had taken them almost half the time they had to get it done. the most sickening part is when they got to the new place they told my girlfriend who is a single mother with two small children that their time was done and they would have to leave her stuff in her driveway. She said absolutely not. You cannot do that when she tried to contact the manager of the company He wouldn't answer her, and he hung up on her. He was very rude. He told her it was his day off. He is not dealing with this. They can either leave her stuff there in the driveway, or he can tell them to put it in storage and she can pay for it ! this is unacceptable how dare he treat her like that! so in conclusion, this company is a joke. Poor management poor time management skills. I do not recommend using this company.!! Please, everyone be aware! if I could leave zero stars, I would unfortunately I have to leave one!!

However, Leyton and Will did a great job overcoming the challenges and were very friendly and hard working young guys. They worked efficiently and did a mean job of Tetris to get everything into the truck. Had a 90 mile drive but they made good time and unloaded quickly helping us get everything organized in a storage unit to just the way we wanted it. We appreciated their professionalism, cheerful demeanor, good sense of humor and hard work! And Dom was great to work with to get everything scheduled and confirmed! 10 out of 10, would use them again!

They even started unloading before we even got to our new house. During the drive they noticed an obstruction on the highway and they even called us to tell us about it to let us know we might be caught in a traffic delay. Hired the Surrey Right Movers for September 29th at 9am…read more Honestly this entire experience dealing with this company has been shady. They quoted me on the phone 2 movers at $115/hour, minimum 3 hours + 1hr travel time, no other fees, for 9am. Then when I confirmed the following week, they switched it to 3 guys at 140 to better suit their schedule. We agreed on $130 for 3 guys instead due to the "miscommunication " Day of, 9am comes and no movers. The boss claims we agreed between 9am and 10am, which we did not. Then at 9:35am told me he changed the plan AGAIN and that it was the original 2 guys at $115. When the guys finally show at 10am, from Abbotsford, even tho I booked Surrey, the contract says $120/hr, which I had to show text messages from their boss to prove I was quoted $115. The guys did great, worked hard, very impressed there. Then I get the bill and lo and behold, it has a $40 fuel charge, even tho i was told no hidden fees. The total says $540, even tho paying cash meant no tax, which I was. So let's check that, $115×4=$460 + $40 fuel=$500. So what's the extra $40? The mover called the boss to waive the non-discussed fuel charge, which brings the bill to $500. I checked the math and he said "oh yeah, I forgot to take off the fuel charge, besides you're getting a great deal considering you're not going to tip, I mean, unless you are, but still a great deal" Then to discover my broken TV stand, and weight (which I didn't care too much about as its still usable, until the boss decided to ignore and dismiss me for 4 days. Now he says no insurance to cover damages as that would have been an extra NOT MENTIONED charge even tho it states in the contract? This company is a shit show

Everything was placed into my moving container carefully and strategically to avoid breakage, and they tied everything down with rope, which was much appreciated. The communication leading up to the job was perfect, from our first conversation they were friendly, and were on the ball every step of the way, plus they had good suggestions during the move which I appreciated very much. Lastly, the guys were friendly and professional, there was no attitude and they didn't seem annoyed when I made a couple of suggestions. Overall, I'd recommend them!
