I called them regarding work that they had not done well for my 75 year old mother in the middle of a cold snap. The voicemail said that they would not be able to get back to me for 7 days, needless to say I never heard from them. Then just recently I called them and the voicemail said that they would call within 24 hours and that was 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, given that they had done in inadequate job the first time I need them to come back and fix what they have damaged. read more

Hired to do maintenance on my functioning gas fireplace and instead broke it over 2 weeks ago. A fix was promised but I'm still waiting. I rely on this fireplace for heat so instead I'm left cold. We've been calling Joel of Sure Fire Gas since we bought our home 3 years ago. He services our brand new fireplace and an older model we have in our basement. We have had a few issues with our older fireplace, so we always call Joel in and he is super efficient to get the job done. Really Bad. After less than half and hour they took a critical piece of our fireplace away and left us hanging (and freezing). We called and called and they finally came back after 10 days. They still did not know how to fix the fireplace and the man put in a "used and old" piece he found in his truck. This took him another half an hour. Then he bolted. It still does not work right. We called these guys on recommendation for a property. Cleaning of glass, burners, pilot light and valve, Checking door seals, voltage and carbon monoxide levels. Adjust main burner and log position. They charged a reasonable price of $60 read more

I've had Surefire Gas service my fireplace for the past several years as our strata has them do our annual inspections. Recently, they saved me hundreds of dollars when another company missed diagnosed a problem. I was lucky to talk to them before the other company came to do the work and they got in someone to help me pretty quickly. They are a busy company but that is because they do provide such a good service.... It's worth waiting a couple days before going with another company! Luckily I learned that the easy way. I contacted the Sure Fire Gas Services to help fix my fireplace which was not turning on. I spoke to Kim. He was very friendly and right away started giving me tips on how to fix it myself (make sure all the knobs are turned on etc). I sent some pictures and he was able to point out the problem (wire was off). He was amazing and a pleasure to deal with. While I no longer need my fireplace fixed today, I will be asking them to look after my fireplace for a yearly inspection.
