I had two gas fireplaces installed by Vaglio last year. The one in the basement operated…read morebrilliantly. The remote control of the one on the main floor worked intermittently. Various solutions were attempted including replacing the remote. Nothing solved my problem. It didn't help my credibility that everything worked whenever the Vaglio people visited. Fortunately for me, Vaglio took me seriously. After trying everything else, they changed the type of remote control I had. Since then, all has worked perfectly. :-) The best explanation of my problem is that there is probably some intermittent radio signal that interfered with my original remote and that operated mostly out of business hours. The new remote uses a different system and thus manages to get through. Through all this the Vaglio people continued to work with me. I really want to thank Jeff F, Angus, and everyone else involved for their perseverance. It would have been very easy for them to just label me as a "problem customer". I really appreciate their effort and highly recommend Vaglio to anyone wanting a very nice gas fireplace. Thank-you! ... (another) angus

Sadly this would have been a 5 star review for this company. The showroom has many products on…read moredisplay, very good fireplace items, and the sales person was very knowledgeable with any of the questions we asked. We selected the Valor insert model that we wanted, and when we received the cost estimate, we gave the go ahead thinking that the overly high installation cost would be reduced once the installers completed the install. Such was not the case. Everything was cleared and wide open, ready to go. The two installers were at our place for 1 hour 40 minutes, and the installation fee was $1350. We were then told that the charge is the same whether the installers were on site for 1 hour or 8 hours. That's outrageous. Had I known, I would have let them tear the drywall out and remove the existing framing.

I had a very frustrating experience with Milani Plumbing and cannot recommend them. The first…read moretechnician named Ali K. came to inspect my newly purchased condo on Aug. 5, 2025 because a building inspector had just noticed water damage in the ceiling but no current leaks were found and he advised me to keep an eye on things. While he was here, I asked him to instal a new kitchen faucet, but neither of us realized that I would be unable to use it because of my lack of finger strength. (I am disabled.) He was very friendly and explained what he was doing. Sadly, Ali K. lied to me and told me it was against company policy to take photos of himself, although he happily let me take photos of the work he was doing. Unfortunately, Ali K. left me with a jammed garburator that was working before he came and poor hot water flow that was a result of debris left in the tube. As a result of so many issues, I had three follow up visits (and one no show) and had to go to Home Depot to buy another faucet that was installed August 15 by a great technician named Lovepreet- the tech who discovered the debris in the tube, and happily posed for photos. He had to come twice since nobody told him I needed a replacement tap. Desmond refused to escalate my concerns when I spoke to him on the phone for 30 minutes on Aug. 20, and he didn't follow through with a credit or putting anything in writing for me. After more texting after August 30, I was randomly given a partial refund of $131.25 on Sept. 9th for the faucet that was installed on August. 5 and offered a future credit of $100. (I was charged $300 plus tax for the faucet.) Communication was poor--I dealt with multiple reps, conflicting information, and a hassle getting even a partial refund after I threatened legal action. I wasted many hours dealing with this company and made the choice have a staycation and just eat out in restaurants more often from Aug. 5-15. to avoid the challenges that come from a kitchen hot water tap not working properly. I've learned to make lemonade when life hands me lemons. The best rep I spoke with on the phone a few times was Garrett, who suggested that Milani educate their staff about disability and the impact it has on being able to use a tap. I was also pleased with how quickly I was able to get an appointment the first time I called and the first follow up the next day. I understand that plumbing is challenging and mistakes happen but the customer service was a huge disappointment.
