My son and I were in desperate need of movers at very short notice. We had moved everything…read morewe possibly could by car a couple weeks before hand because we could not find movers to do it but, we were living without our furniture and the heavier larger items that could not be moved with our tiny car. We had only 3 days to have our items out of the suite they were in before someone else was moving in. I called many movers and they could not move anything for over 3 weeks which just would not do. I called Low Budget moving and was greeted with the kindest person I had spoken to in many many weeks. I was already panicking and stressed out and he made me feel like it was not a problem and they would take care of it all. 2 days later 2 extremely kind young men showed up and in no time had us all moved. I have moved a lot in the past 25 yrs but I must say I was never so impressed as I was with these 2 young men from Low Budget movers. They were very gentle with my belongings and put them exactly where we wanted them, All the boxes were neatly and carefully stacked out of the way of where we would need to walk. They were extremely kind and considerate. If I ever have to move again I will absolutely be calling on Low Budget Movers. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Short Version: Broke tons of stuff. Quoted $800, showed up and said that it shouldn't take too…read morelong. Billed $1400. Not even remotely competent Longer Version: Talked to Curtis. He seemed great and he gave what I thought was a fair quote. We were moving a basement suite and had 40-50 boxes and few other large items (dresser, wardrobe etc.) They showed up early, seemed courteous and professional. Assessed the situation and said that everything looked good. We had everything in boxes, labelled and organized. They said 2 hours to get it out at the most. Then things went downhill...fast. The two workers started arguing that about whether they should bring another guy to help. The one said they shouldn't but eventually they asked me if they should. I let them know it was fine because I like to trust people to do a good job. They said it wouldn't be more expensive because although I have to pay for each person, they would be more efficient. Reasonable. Noon rolls around and they're still not packed. Remember they said 2 hours tops then brought in another guy to help. So, it should be way under 2 hours, but we are at 4+. I started to notice that the new guy they brought has been on his phone most of the time. Seems like he's putting out fires things for Low Budget Moving. Fair enough, but not really something I want to pay for. The other guys don't really seem to be moving boxes and working hard when I see them in my suite, but when I go up, then their just chatting and doing nothing. I think this was the chief the reason that 2 hours for 2 people became 5 hours for 3 people. That is on the cost side of things, but that's not all. When they showed up they said they would insure only solid wood furniture to be moved without damage. They didn't want to insure cheap IKEA furniture or already packed boxes. That seems fair to me. They broke 2 solid wood pieces of furniture. Replaced none and offered no compensation. One table they admitted to breaking. They just fell on it and broke it. Admitted it and did nothing. The China cabinet they refused to admit they broke but kind of in the same way that a child with chocolate on their face rufuses to admin they are responsible for the missing chocolate. They took some parts of the cabinet and said they'd look into replacing it, but then ghosted me. Lastly, they just sucked at moving. I have a hundred stories from the day but the one that illustrates it best is this. We asked them to move a wardrobe into a corner that they had placed in the middle of the room. It need to be moved about 2 meters. They were struggling to move it, crawling around on their knees, pushing it then putting it down, then and trying to figure out how to move it. Eventually after my wife and watching for a while, we just moved it. It took about 15 seconds for us (minus the few minutes of watching them struggle to do their job). We aren't strong, just healthy 30-year-olds who aren't getting paid by the hour. All in all they were just not competent at the basic task, did not actually work, and broke or damaged a lot of items. Try someone else. Literally any one.

Lana was able to fit me in quickly, arrived on time, came prepared with storage solutions for my space, and worked quickly and efficiently. She was professional, friendly, and non-judgmental of my clutter -- while still encouraging me to sort through my things as they were organized, which resulted in a good-sized pile of donations that she took to the thrift store for me! My space felt totally refreshed, and for the first time in a long time, I enjoyed and looked forward to spending time at home. During our time organizing / re-arranging, Lana informed me that she not only does staging for homes for sale, but interior decorating as well, and offered to personally shop for additional furniture / décor to really bring my newly refreshed space together. We discussed my needs, preferences, and budget, she gave me a few ideas she had in mind, and that very day she started shopping for me. She kept me in the loop throughout the following couple of weeks as she shopped, and we scheduled a time when she could come to my apartment and set everything up for me. That day when I returned from work, I arrived to a gorgeous apartment straight out of a magazine -- far and above my expectations! Not only did she incorporate ideas we had discussed for my space, but she had clearly paid attention to little details that had come up in our conversations and personalized her purchases to me. I LOVE what she's done for my space, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for organizational or decorating help!

They worked efficiently and did a mean job of Tetris to get everything into the truck. Had a 90 mile drive but they made good time and unloaded quickly helping us get everything organized in a storage unit to just the way we wanted it.
