When my 2010 Honda CRV key fob had been dropped too many times and couldn't be taped together again, rather than pay the dealership $175+, I bought a blank key and fob casing on Amazon for $5.50 and then paid Mrs. Keys $35 to duplicate my key! Good as new. I recommend this shop to everyone! read more

Honest service. First time, I came in and got a key made here for $1.50, not bad. Second time, I walked in asking to buy two new bolts for a security door and the guy told me to just bring back the bolts and he would make me new keys. In and out in less then 15 minutes, plus I saved almost $30! Definitely coming back again. Ask for Armando. read more

Super happy with the service provided. They can cut any key you could imagine. Stopped by the place thinking they wouldn't be able to cut my BMW key, but they did, and they all work. read more

Mrs. Keys - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Long Beach, California

You should consider this a cash only business. Went there to get a key made, wasn't formed that there was a $10 minimum for credit cards... I guess it's not worth their time to make your keys unless they're going to get at least $10 out of it take your business elsewhere like Home Depot read more

Great service from Horacio and Armando. These guys are very professional and we have always been super pleased with their locksmith services. They are truly experts at what they do. Super affordable and keys are made with perfection. Highly recommend Mrs. Keys in Long Beach! Two thumbs up! read more

Extremely friendly folks there. Not sure if the older guy is the owner but I'm assuming he is. They have awesome service with prices to match it. I drive 20 mins just so they can do what ever work I need done. Located in the parking lot of North Gate Market... You can run to the market and grab some food from there dining area while your waiting on your car to be repaired. read more

I'm in the real estate business so I get a lot of keys made and have used Mrs keys for many years and the keys are always perfect.

$1.75 for a key copy. A lot cheaper than the key-duplicating kiosks at Rite-Aid and Vons. I think those places charge about $6 to $9. read more

This place is great! I have had countless keys made here and not one has failed. They also make "electronic" keys for less expensive and faster than the car dealership. This is my Go-to key maker! read more

Highly disappointed. Really wanted to support local business but the locksmith representative was very unprofessional. I had an appointment for an emergency order and called several times due to the 5 hour delay. When I finally realized they were not going to show up! Gave them another chance, stupidly, went to the business, only to find an "out to lunch, be back in 25 minutes" sign. Again, I waited over an hour with several other customers. Only to discover they were not coming back at all. If I could rate this place as a negative 5 stars, I would! read more

Don't go here drive 15mins to find out the little shop is gone and then when I tried calling the number no one answered...... waist if my time read more

Key professionals...not those CRAP kiosks that give you a bum product. I love these guys. HAPPY!

Used MRS Keys services for at least 20 years from making duplicate keys at their little stand, and several times, re-keying our home/garage locks. Fast, professional and good prices. read more

Needed a few batteries for my car alarm dongles, they made it quick & easy, very affordable! Definitely will recommend.

I've been here twice in the 3 months we've lived in the area. It's soooo much easier to go here vs Home Depot or one of the other big stores. There was a short line the two times I went but I waited less than 5 minutes both times. They have a sign next to the window that says credit card transactions must be a minimum of $10. I had two house keys made that cost $3. Thank goodness I had cash. It would be more convenient if they accepted credit cards for all transactions but the short lines and fast service is worth it. read more

Quick and cheap. One key takes less than 10 seconds and each key is $1.50-$2.50 unless you want a fancy looking key. Customer service is good (for the 30 seconds or less of really interacting with them). read more

I used to go to Home Depot for keys; however often times their automatic machine does not make accurate copies. Home Depot is fine for standard Kwikset or Shlage style door locks, but if you need an irregular key such as a gate key or mailbox key, then you can expect to get a lot of bad copies at Home Depot. You'll notice near their key maker machine is a box near the ground of reject keys. Enter in Mrs. Keys, a little mom and pops shack. This places is the place to get your keys done and support a small business. The keys are made by hand using a tool, not an automatic machine. I manage rental properties and have never had a bad key made at Mrs. Keys. Save yourself time by getting the key made right the first time at Mrs. Keys. read more

Their service is great. I've used other places and the keys didn't work. That is not the issue with Mrs. Keys. I wish they had a wider selection of accessories, hence four stars instead of five. Thank you very much for your service. read more

The place is the worst. I called and schedule an appointment for someone to come out to my house to change the locks and they were a no call no show. I after 15 min of waiting I my husband called me to see if they were still come. I called and ask if they were still coming and he stated that they forgot and they might be at me house at 1:30. I told him that my husband left work early to be home and for you guys not to call that's bad business. He said that they were really busy that day and not sure if they would be able to come out. I drove passed the placed and they had no customers. If you looking for a reliable locksmith, please look elsewhere. read more

I called 5 minutes before I drove over and he said it would $1.50 per key. I had 7 keys copied, which means it should have cost $10.50. He charged me $14.50. When I told him that he said $1.50 per key, he told me that each key was $2.00 or $2.50. read more

I recently went there two get a couple of keys. It was a bit of a wait but it was cool

This is the worst place ever! The service is so bad, I called them twice, just asked them to open the car door, because I locked my keys in the car. The first time they said they will charge me $50, then I asked them will they break my car , then they just changed their mind so fast and say " No, we don't want to do that for you, maybe there's problem with your car." Then they don't listen to me anymore, all I want to know just if they will do something that probably harm my car, I feel like they don't really want to do their business. The second time I called again, (because this is the closest store from my place), I explained that I don't have a problem with my car and I just need you to open the truck for me, then they said they CANNOT do that, which they said YES at the first time. I ask Man the guy on the phone, may I talk to the owner? He said no he is busy, but I Heard the owner was talking to him by the phone , I was begging their help, that guy just hang up the phone directly . Like I said, they just don't wanna do this business. Why people look for you guys' help? Because we NEED help very much. Finally I found someone to help me without any damage to my car. Not from this store, never . read more

I have an older model Chevrolet and my key wasn't working anymore, but my wife's key worked fine . I went to Home Depot to have a copy of my wife's car key . The tech at HD made me one ,but it didn't work. Finally after struggling with my car key (I could get it to work,if I jiggled it)for several weeks. I decided to get a real locksmith involved, instead of a big box store. So I went to Mrs.Keys, he told me the reason my wife's key worked and mine didn't is because mine was worn out, all the grooves/teeth on the key had smoothed over. So he made a copy of my wife's key and Bingo! It starts again ,no problem ! Thank You Mrs.Keys ! read more

I am so happy with my service. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and he answered all my questions. Good, fast, quality service for a reasonable price! read more

Love this place. I've been going here for years. House keys, mail keys, car keys and of course key fob keys. They know how to do it all. If you go there with just a key and ask for a copy that is what they will do. They will make a copy of the key. No questions asked. It not their fault that you don't have a chipped key for your car. You asked for a copy that is what you get. This place is the BOMB when it comes to workmanship. He might be young but he knows his stuff. read more

I ordered an OEM Honda Civic Key Blank online to replace my broken non OEM key. This place was recommended to me by a few people & the Yelp review looked ok. The employee cuts my key & asks me to try it out on my car (I found that strange) I try it out & no go. He walks over & also tried nothing. He starts examining the key and asks if I ordered this online? I said yes & he said that's my problem it's not an OEM key it's a fake China knock off. My complaint is why couldn't he advise me before hand that it might or might not work before even attempted to cut it? Why couldn't he tell that it was a "China knock off" before cutting it ? It was only after the fact that he seen it wasn't going to work that it all of a sudden became a China knock off. What really grinds my gears is that after all this he walks away and starts helping other customers like I'm not even there and that's the reason I'm making this review read more

I gave the guy my key and he cut the key. I noticed that the key was broken and asked him to cut a key that was not defective, he refused and said "you broke the key." They tried to charge me $25 just to re-key a door lock for my 1996 Chevy truck that I had already taken off of the truck. A very simple basic five minute job. Made my keys in 35 seconds. Crazy! Highly recommend to get ur copy if you're in the area!

I have been using Mrs. Keys for years and this is the first time I have ever been so disappointed . The one star rating represents my last visit . A few weeks ago I paid a visit to Mrs. Keys to get three keys cut from the original key, simple request or so I thought . I knew from the start there was going to be a problem and I should of walked . But instead I decided to stick with the local business which I try to use first before the local chains . Well , the man behind the counter looked totally confused by my request due to a communication problem . I tried to explain to him the key blank on the original had a specific number for the blank to be used . All that got me was a blank stare and he continued to go about his making of the keys and that process took at least 25 minutes , yes i kid you not , 25 minutes for 3 keys . I paid $3.67 for 3 keys which came to $11.01 including tax .... Now this in not about the money for the service or keys , its about the fact that none of the keys worked PERIOD ! So if and I hope the owner of Mrs. Keys reads this you need to re-train the man who was working the counter on May 24th 2018 at 10:26 in the morning .... read more

We needed several locks re-keyed and sets of keys made. It was so nice to have it all done on time and under budget. Thanks!

The speed of getting it copied was great. I asked that my car key be copied and he did just that in less than 3 minutes. The only problem I have with my key that was copied is that it did not work for my car, it would not start. I went back and asked him and he said cause I need to get a chip for it. I was mad for the fact he knew what was wrong and answered it in a heartbeat. My question is, for a key professional, why could he not mention that before I actually had it copied?? It would've been great customer service if he took the time to mention that little detail. A "hey, did you remove the chip into the new one?" Or "did you know about the chip you're suppose to remove?" Once again, he's a professional in this type of business...mention little details like that I would definitely come back and refer people. To me it would've showed he took the time to ensure that I knew what was going on and that he's just not there to collect my money. He then offered to take the chip off for me for additional $20 after I already paid $15 to get my key copied. 1) you failed in making more money for your business by not offering your client in other services needed in the first place. 2) Do you honestly think I'll have you do it after I felt that I was cheated and misguided by a person that I thought knew what he was doing? Like I told him, "I would've appreciate it if you told me that little detail before I had it copied. I'm coming to you as a professional key copier. You know more than I do, it would've been great if you took the extra minute to explain how it would work if you copied a car key." An answer like "you should know when you bought the key" or "my boss told me to stop asking if people knew about the chip" it's great sign of bad service. I don't know about you guys, but I love going to places that takes the time to explain and show that they care for their customers and know what they are doing. I felt like he just copied it, collect my money and sent me away. Maybe that's why the service is so quick and fast here. I live 2 minutes from the place but never again will I go there. read more
