I had my E46 M3 towed to MRF Engineering for inspection. When I arrived, Malek told me not to take the car off the tow truck unless I agreed to $10k in parts and labor. Over the phone he was courteous and said he'd gladly inspect the car, but the very next morning when in person he told me his shop was full and will not even touch my car. Big waste of time and money on towing back and forth. read more

Location: MRF Engineering is hidden in a business plaza. At first it can be challenging to find, but once you step in, the place is kept in immaculate condition. Comfortable sofas, automobile portraits on the walls, you know immediately that the work done there is professional. Owner: First impression during conversation with Malek (the owner), he knew his stuff. I took my car in there to do alignment work, as well as getting rid of a fender scraping issue. He addressed the multiple situations that could contribute to the fender scraping, and gave me quotes and informed me of the process he would do to fix it. I don't think I've come across anyone who was so straight forward, which is greatly appreciated when you're bringing the car in for work. Other individuals will bounce and back and forth, and it makes you wonder if they know what they are doing. Service: This is where Malek takes the cake. I only have one car, and I left it in Malek's hands during the middle of a work day. He went out of his way to give me a ride back to work (roughly 10 mi), and picked me up as well. I don't recall any of my shops doing this, especially during out first meeting. He was responsive in his phone calls during the whole day where I needed an update. In summary, the customer service was exceptional. Quality: Post alignment, my car handles like a beast. I read his reviews on m3post, and the positive feedback was definitely validated. Although he could not fix the fender scraping, it wasn't his fault. There was a previous guy who trimmed my fender lining and cut too deep; unfortunate because this could not be reversed. Nonetheless, Malek spent the time to see if he could fix it, and although the scraping is at minimal now, it could not be 100% solved. What did it for me: Because Malek could not fix it 100%, he did not charge me. He emphasizes on customer satisfaction, and 100% perfection. Malek is definitely top notch in his customer service and accommodation. Shop is very clean, he very knowledgeable and good at what he does. I ran into some issues with the product I was having installed at no fault of Malek's. Malek had already gotten on the phone with the manufacturer to have them send me a replacement before I even found out there was a problem. There was also no additional charge to make sure the product was installed correctly, which took a few visits. Easy 5 stars. Went in to put my Meistershaft GT exhaust on M3 and on the initial call he told me it was a easy job and was about half the cost as elsewhere. When I arrived he was a nice guy that explained a lot to me about the car and other things that had noting to do with the exhaust. Exhaust after the quick install was perfect. he was nice enough to throw away my old EOM exhaust. Def found my Mod company/BMW service for just about everything he can do. He was also upfront and honest about certain things where I can go for my car that I plan on doing so I don't pay more etc. He is about a 25 min drive from my house but with it to get quality and with more than fair pricing. What can I say that others haven't covered. Malek is the man. The shop is meticulous, and Malek is friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I took my M3 in for a suspension upgrade and to swap my 19s for 18s. The car looks and handles much better, and Malek pointed out a few maintenance items that no one has ever notice before. I had my ESS supercharger installed on my E93 at this shop. After the installation, my left front wheel would rub when turning right. I was told by Malek that's because my wheels are 20in and that's ESS design fault. I've accepted this headache for more than a year. However, my left front tire on the M3 had a flat couple weeks ago and a stock 19in wheel was on loan to me. This 19in OEM wheel still rub with the supercharger assy. Thus, it was not because of my 20in wheel! I brought my car to Supreme Power in Anaheim and they were able to correct the install and plastic weld the inside liner cut to look new again. NO MORE RUBBING! Not to mention I had to spend extra money to repair a hose next to the intercool that was cut due to not fastened down or tie wrap. He said he'll credit my expense with the next service instead of reimburse me for the repair. Consider the credit is lost since I'm not coming back there again. Malek will convince other service that you don't need so avoid this shop. I wasted lots of money and time here. read more

The best Auto Repair and Auto Customization shop around. 2016+ BMW no longer includes the "manufacture plan" as a complimentary service. This means things like oil changes and brakes service is no longer free through the dealership. In this case I would see to Malek at MRF Engineering for all my maintenance and service requests. Malek performed MRF's full rod bearing service, new motor mounts, and installed a new battery on my E92 M3 this past weekend. He kept me updated throughout the service and documented every step. The experience was great and the professionalism and knowledge MRF has at it's disposal is unbeatable. I only wish I lived closer but will continue to drive the hour and half to have Malek maintain and modify my car in the future. Prices are very reasonable and turn around time for the service was only a couple of days as he quoted. My car runs phenomenally now.
