I had an appointment made in December to have an alignment completed on my vehicle. (24 GR Corolla) The vehicle had been aligned by them before however the alignment was completely off. since that alignment I have roughly put a 1000 miles on the vehicle, installed a completely different suspension set up and noticed that they rounded out most of my adjustment bolts on the aftermarket control arms and said nothing about it. I notified them of this and came back to an 8am appointment today where I got to watch three people come in after me and have there cars serviced before me. I took my car and left as they don't value my time nor the privilege of working on my car even though it's a Corolla. If you are looking for a proper track alignment I would stay faraway from this place and just go to the straight alignment guys that are always booked weeks out. Wanted to update on the most recent work they did today which was replace my belt tensioner and help me install these really cool aftermarket headlights! They were very helpful with explaining the way that the headlights were designed and whether there were any faults, they're running great and look amazing! They helped me diagnose a noise which was coming from the tensioner and also explained that the sound was made worse by the car sitting for 6 months (that's my bad). Because I had trouble with jumping the car, they recommended for in the future, a timed trickle charger (which I didn't even know existed) in order to preserve my battery for those times when I'm going to have her parked for a long time. DO NOT take your BMW here guys, they broke the shifter mechanism in my 04' 330i, refused to fix it, lied, and claimed they did not do it. The owner, Andrew, was extremely rude and absolutely was blindly siding with his mechanic who also lied and claimed he didn't do it even though he was the designated mechanic for the vehicle. It got to the point where the owner, Andrew, was calling me a liar. He even said that I must be on drugs!!!! Like wtf??? Take your beamer elsewhere, TRUST ME. I RARELY leave reviews, so the fact that I am here writing this is testament to the fact that the owner, Andrew Lang, is an absolute liar, poor businessman, and how they did me very dirty. I politely asked them to fix what they broke (as they should) and Andrew refused to do it. Not only did he refuse to fix what they broke, he calls me a liar and tells me to leave the property. Mind you this is after I paid $2,100+ to have brakes and the CCV vent and valve replaced. Seriously, I am absolutely stunned and disgusted at how they treated me (a paying customer) after literally breaking something crucial to the operation of the vehicle and not holding themselves accountable for it. If that doesn't constitute negligence, I'm not sure what does quite frankly. Andrew Lang, here is that review you said you 'didn't care about'. And I can only hope this review changes the next person's mind and they seek out a more honest shop. I already know he is going to reply here with more lies just to save face. So go ahead, Andrew. I took my Porsche 911 with 25000 miles to these people for a simple oil and filter change service after being recommended by a former Porsche mechanic Please stay away from this business if you have a Porsche They have zero experience with Porsches despite what they claim on their website Their shop is dirty, unkept and the customer service unprofessional, they have no knowledge about the vehicle's mechanics When I went to pick up the car , their mechanic and the owner told me that the car has an oil leak The car was in perfect condition before leaving it there They could not give me a reason about their presumed diagnosis . They asked me to " drive the car for 50 Miles and take it back to them in order to be able to detect where the leak is coming from" They had only provided me with some photo shots of the the " presumed leak" with fresh oil stains and residue under the engine I took the car to the local official Porsche dealership and after running exhaustive diagnostic tests, it was concluded that Lang Racing had done a sloppy job with the oil change and had spilled oil all over the engine There was NO leak, I had to pay for a diagnostic and clean up job to the dealer These crooks at Lang's had not only lied to me but were likely pretending for me to take to car back for a non existent need for an "Oli leak " repair I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau I feel compelled to report them here and on any other media as crooks and liars and make other Porsche owners aware to stay away from this business You are at risk of them ruining your engine and/ or doing damage to the car and lie about it to top it off read more

Greedy and incompetent half ass mechanics!! I brought my 2002 BMW Z3MC for a 4 wheel alignment to Andrew and Jonathan and paid a whopping 200$ (the highest i have ever paid for an alignment) . I know its a fairly tough job but since i was paying double what they quoted me on the phone before i thought it would be just fine. So I drop my car off and literally an hour after Jonathan calls me and tells me Andrew couldn't do it, which was a little alarming, as these cars take a few hours to align minimum (e30 rear suspension). Andrew told me he wasn't going to try any more that i needed a 1400$ repair. He said my toe out in the rear was fine since the car drove straight somewhat, which is a weird thing for a race shop to tell anybody . For everybody who doesn't know it must always be toe in on the rear axle for high speed stability if it is toe out that creates a dangerous driving conditions. I was now going to be spending a lot of money on this job so I called my friend who is a specialist with Z3MC's because he quoted me slightly less for the job. Long story short he puts the car on his alignment rack and gets the toe in on the rear axle perfect as well as the front which was off too so no big ticket repair bill. When Andrew/Jonathan were confronted with evidence that the car went into alignment at another shop, and even after 5K miles of driving, with no issues they refuse to refund my money. 200$ is a lot for me to just throw away on a half baked job like this. Andrew/Jonathan in a previous email correspondence when asking for my refund "Though our positive reviews will always outweigh our negatives. You can't make everyone happy. I don't know what your profession is, but I would ask if you expected to get paid for working multiple hours?" My response to his defensive commentary is my profession is none of your concern but do not claim anything near multiple hours were invested on my car or that any work was completed whatsoever, hence why I want a refund. If i made a mistake and was confronted with evidence of it i would admit I am wrong, maybe Andrew/Jonathan wanna consider doing the same. I posted pictures to show the alignment sheets as proof for my argument. On a side note this shop was featured on internationally known tv show wheeler dealers for machining bellhousings but keep in mind they will only do welding, machinging, and anything of the sort if they do the whole job (6mt swap, weld in adjustable subframe, etc) . I was looking for a shop to service my BMW M6 since my mechanic retired last year and I just didn't find the right place that has the right knowledge and then I came across these guys when I was looking for parts to service my car. The consistency of the comments here speak for themselves. They are quick to respond back to any inquiries. Johnathan was the 1st to respond and then Andrew. They quoted me on a rod bearing job. Looked around to compare prices and they are a bit more affordable. Since I am on a tight schedule, I just opted to buy the service kit (which at the time I didn't know they were offering) and have a trusted family friend that can supervise the install on his shop. Andrew responded with an email late at night, this already spoke volumes of how they really do take their time with their customers even if they're just inquiries. When it was time for me to pick up the item, I was greeted by a guy with a beard that I forgot to ask his name but he quickly went to Andrew who was on the phone and put the guy on hold and then went to a guy named Gabe(?) who helped me sort things out along with Andrew. This is the 2nd time I've only dealt with this kind of customer service and they deserve all the 5 stars they can get. I was really impressed that I was even taken in by the nicely crafted hat they have in the office. This isn't one of those janky looking hats you can buy anywhere, properly made. So, Its been about 8 months since I have been going to Lang Racing. After I bought my Porsche 964 I decided to give Lang Racing a try, especially since Andrew had a 964 of his own. Since I have had my car Lang Racing installed H&R Coil-overs, spherical control arm bushings, new rear sway bar, sway bushings, rear strut mounts, front ground control camber/castor plates, transmission bushing, shaved braked pads and new slotted rotors, catalytic converter, ball joints, and a fresh alignment. I have been building cars (with the help of many different tuners) and Lang Racing is a legit shop. The crew is always cool and working on different race car projects. He has help build my 964 to exactly what I want. Pricing is fair and they have an awesome shop dog. I would never return to a shop that I dont trust and for me to continue bringing my car to them says a lot. The Lang Racing team does good business and will correct any issues you have with your car. This is one of the best shops I have ever worked with. They have an excellent activity tracker that logs everything once you reach out to them for a quote. They're very organized and have excellent communication with quick responses. They set my expectations throughout the work and kept me updated as the project unfolded. Unfortunately, we ran into some technical limitations outside of their control and Andrew Lang showed he is an honest businessman and didn't charge me for hours of work he performed trying to accomplish what I needed since we weren't able to complete it. Long story short i purchased a 2009 m3 that turned out to have rod bearing malfunction. After purchasing a used motor and sending the motor/car to a shop in Anaheim that specialized in rod bearing replacement and thousands $$ later i still did not have a running vehicle. Turns out this particular shop (NOT LANG) did not have the expertise to get the vehicle running. Turns out sensors may have been swapped. Anyway enough about THAT shop. I found Lang racing and they assured me they would not have any issues getting the car running. Sure enough they did. Due to my schedule Andrew was kind enough to meet me on his day off to drop off the vehicle. Not only was he accommodating but he also started tinkering right away. Had the clutch job redone at a "real" Porsche specialist shop after Lang botched it up and won't warranty their work and here is what they found: Dual mass flywheel was damaged by rotary machining/refacing causing clutch disc to contact only on the high spots, thus overheating and hotspotting and damaging the clutch and pressure plate which had gotten hot and changed temperament and causing it to be hard to depress/stiff and noisy. Shop also immediately identified transmission brackets with bolts missing. Transmission mount was not seated properly. Will be taking this to court! read more

Comment to owner's reply of my initial review: You just don't get it Andrew. It ain't about the $40 or the fact that I didn't raise hell when asked to pay the $40 (so you won't do the obvious right thing unless the customer shows displeasure?). The fact that you would even think about charging your customer (whatever the amount) for not doing what was agreed upon during the the reservation process and not even a hint of empathy towards your customer is the real issue. Usually a standup business would say "really sorry about not being able to perform what we said we could do on the phone and apologies for the time and inconvenience this may have caused - we will pull your car right up and please let us know how we can make this right". Also, you could have easily refunded the $40 prior to your post/reply if you wanted to remedy this issue (why do I need to call you to get a refund on something I should have never been charged for and you read my original review). I understand that sometimes things don't go according to plan - it's the customer service and aftercare that will make or break your business and something that is sorely lacking (as mentioned in other reviews for Lang Racing) Original review: Front desk told me they could align my GT350R as they have done a GT350 in the past. After putting it on the rack they tell me the car cannot be aligned and because the car does not have the necessary hardware to align that it would take hours and more $ than the initial quote I got from yelp. They told me to also get camber plates and that will make it a lot easier and to come back (which I understand). What I don't think is cool is that they never mentioned any of this while I was making the appointment and on top of that they charged me $40 (owner said because they mounted the vehicle on the rack). So wasted 1.5 hours, didn't get an alignment and still charged me $40. On top of that I never received an apology or anything for all the wasted time. I had a similar experience at a local Ford dealer but they immediately apologized for promising something they could not do (miscommunication between the service rep and alignment tech) and of-course never charged me a dime (even after it was on their rack). Also, the killer promo Lang's has on Yelp sealed the deal. I actually signed up for Yelp just to get the promo deal. Andrew and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I had gotten two alignment @ Lang's and completely satisfied with both alignments. Not only do they have a great alignment machine but (if asked) will explain (in normal terms) what is wrong with your camber, caster and toe. A before and after sheet was given to me to further explain what was adjusted. From stock to mild and wild alignments, Lang's would be my go-to place and recommendation. read more

Andrew, Jonathan and all of the staff at Lang Racing Development have restored my faith in finding an honest auto repair shop. At the last shop I took my car I was charged nearly a grand for a vacuum leak which was halfway addressed by replacing one hose in the fuel line on my 2004 BMW 330ci. With LRD, I've gone through two separate projects and I've yet to hit the thousand dollar mark yet. The first project they completed on my car was in replacing all of the hoses on my CCV system, and the second was in replacing my tie rods and getting an alignment. The beauty of it all was the awesome treatment that I received after the second project. I wasn't quite satisfied with my steering on my car, so I brought it back the next day, and one of the staff members, Andrew, spent an extra 3 hours on my car inspecting why the steering was off and he discovered that when I did my own repairs, namely replacing the front control arms and the sway bar links, I didn't have the nuts screwed on tight enough. He also found a socket that I left behind on the nut of the front control arm. And Jonathan put those hours spent fixing my own goofs gratis. I couldn't have been treated any better. All of the guys are fun to talk to and easy going. They're all straight up and transparent and honest with their process.
