2 Eggs with sausage and cheese
Mel T.

Restaurant prices for deli-quality/quick service food. I ordered for pick up on a Saturday at around 11 am. We had a Seated coupon so that's why I'm not that mad about the prices but if we didn't, then I would be. Two eggs, sausage, and cheese on a roll came out to $9 with tax! Can you believe that? It should be about half that price. It doesn't even cost that much in NYC. Sure, it was pretty good - but not $9 good. Wraps will cost you $16ish with tax. My husband had the buffalo chicken wrap, and same situation here. It was good, but without the coupon, it would just not be worth it. I could probably go to a diner somewhere and get the same thing with fries, and it still wouldn't cost $15. FYI - the employees use masks as chin guards so be sure to double mask when you go in there.

French Fries

Soggy, almost uncooked and flimsy French fries for $6 ? Come on! Not sure what happened here but food was a lot better before!

I am saddened to leave this review because my husband and I have been ordering from here for years but today he almost ate a rusty metal nail when he bit into his sandwich. The restaurant was kind enough to give us a full refund but I expected more of an explanation on how a rusty metal nail got into his food. My husband immediately went to urgent care and got a tetanus shot.

We ordered on Door Dash. It was packaged well and was still very warm and fresh. This wrap was more like a burrito - stuffed full of Buffalo chicken strips. I do wish there was more ranch/blue cheese dressing. It was very tasty and well worth the $21 it cost w/delivery

#2. South Western Chicken Wrap
Mary K.

Opted for the South Western Chicken Wrap for lunch today. It was a little more expensive than I would've liked ($14 with tax), but the portion size was generous. The combo of pico de gallo and chipotle mayo was spot on!

This week I decided to try Mr. Wraps. Rather than your regular crispy chicken sandwich I decided to try their "#14. Buffalo Chicken Wrap (Kate's Fav From TikTok - who?): Chicken tenders tossed in our homemade Buffalo sauce with lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing." Cost: $13.95 plus tax on Seamless, but this may cost $9.95 in the store. Pros: When I opened up my bag, I was impressed at the size of the wrap, it's like a burrito. Generous amounts of fried chicken tenders tucked in the wrap . One person wrote that they put on too much lettuce. I did not find that to be an issue, lettuce, tomato, chicken and sauce amounts were perfect. One of the better wraps I have had in Hoboken. Totally worth it. Buffalo sauce wasn't "too" spicy, it has the right amount of spice and even, dare I say, sweetness - kind of like me! Cons: One major con, no fries! It was a good wrap. I'd order it again. Like Dave Portnoy scores his pizza, this falls into the category of "football pizza". It's the kind of wrap, i'd want to order for a NFL game. Nice, solid wrap, but unlike my love of Zack's or Del Frisco's chicken sandwiches, I won't go knocking on your door to tell you how amazing this sandwich was. It's good. Once or maybe twice a month worth ordering it. If this wrap was at a bar, I would suggest ordering it off the menu every time. Overall score: 7.7 / 10.

42. Tuna Salad Sandwich - so good!!!
T. G.

Ok all- I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to visit but this place but they seriously make amazing TUNA salad. I've had it on a salad (which was huge) and on a roll- it's seriously just amazing! It's creamy and tangy - always consistent and just delicious. I like how close they are to my apartment- the quality of the food and the staff is always friendly! I'll absolutely be back soon! I also liked that I could order ahead for pick-up on YELP. 5/5 for sure!!!!

Johnny G.

The menu is nice and thick with sandwiches, burgers, ice cream station and their speciality - wraps. I decided to go against the grain and had a BBQ bacon burger. i kinda was expecting a puny burger but when it came out it looked amazing. Huge burger patty had to be 10oz+, ton of bacon and here is the kicker its on a kaiser roll rather than a bun (genius). I didnt like the fries too much. The texture wasn't crispy enough kind of soggy tbh. i also like that has the family deli restaurant feel. I feel be back to have their wrap and ice cream.

A friend of mine had been saying that she wanted to try Flour, a restaurant that I adored, so I…read morequickly snagged a reservation and made plans to introduce her to it. While the place had outdoor seating, it was a bit too warm on that day to really enjoy it, so I grabbed us a table inside instead. The restaurant was very dark with only candlelight to illuminate the menu. The acoustics were also not amazing, as the room was extremely loud. However, aside from that, the space had a really hip, seductive vibe. It was also no longer BYO and now offered all sorts of unusual wines, craft beers, and intriguing cocktails. Like on my last visit, we were blessed with a really professional, friendly server. He was a complete delight and indulged my request to try tastes of both the prosecco and Grüner Veltliner before committing to one or the other. Though both wines were complex and delicious, I selected the crisp Casa Coste Piane "Col Fondo" Prosecco from Veneto, Italy. My friend and I decided to share two pasta dishes. The Cavatelli was served with a Moroccan-spiced lamb ragu and topped with sprinkles of sheep's cheese from nearby Nettle Meadow Farm. I was told to mix the cheese into the rest of the ingredients, which were warm and allowed it to melt into a gooey delight. The lamb sauce was so multi-dimensional and really paired well with the funky cheese. It was a delicious plate. We also shared the Triangoli alla Trapanese, which was essentially triangular shaped ravioli that were stuffed with goat cheese. The delicate dumplings were then plated with fresh black mission figs and drizzled with tangy Villa Manodori balsamic vinegar. It was such an unique pasta creation that was truly another winner. Though I sampled less items than on my last trip to Flour, I loved every moment of my experience. From the cool crowd and buzzing atmosphere to the modern Italian food and new beverage list, the restaurant was a real gem.

I was a big fan of both, especially the ricotta, which was so incredibly creamy. For the mains, everyone's fresh-made pasta was excellent. I ordered the Mexican street corn, which was unique, flavorful, and delicious. I also tried some of the spicy rigatoni and loved it. We ended the night with the s'mores dessert, which was rich and chocolatey. Also, the fact that the restaurant is BYOB is a huge plus! The only downside was that I lost an item during our visit. I had a really hard time finding their contact information online, so I had to go back in person to ask about it, which was a bit annoying. Ultimately, they weren't able to recover it, but the food itself was still outstanding.

The food was excellent! The menu has so many options for different tastes and palettes. It also seems like they rotate dishes depending on the season which is pretty impressive. Both times we split the beet salad and their cacio e pepe as an appetizer. The cacio e pepe was one of the tastiest I've ever had. The fact that they used mezze rigatoni instead of angel hair is a nice touch. I prefer rigatoni anyway, and it gave the pasta that extra something-something, plus the ridges helped soak up all that sauce. It had just the right amount of peppery bite too. I also opted for the hangar steak - holy moly! Tender, cooked just right, and the fried potatoes were to die for. Both times, the servers was extremely attentive. Also, the place itself is small but cute. I like that there are different sections to sit in - at the bar, towards Bloomfield, in the back with all the windows. I would love to come here for brunch or perhaps manifest a date here, lol! If I lived in Hoboken, I would eat here every day. Can't wait to come back here again and again!

It was a light, summery appetizer in which the earthiness of the beets was offset beautifully by the bright citrus notes. For the entrees, we got the Truffle Carbonara, Pistachio-Crusted Branzino, and the Hanger Steak. All were exceptionally good! My steak was cooked perfectly to medium-rare, was well-seasoned, and was taken up an extra notch by the delicious peppercorn sauce. The branzino was also a big hit with both people who ordered it. They praised the dish at length, and one person kept going back for more bites even after announcing she was stuffed! Our server was vivacious and happily chatted with us about the many menu options, giving us tips about the most popular dishes not just among customers, but the staff as well. She was great! I encourage you to treat yourself to dinner here. It was a lovely meal!

My steak sandwich lacked char and had no depth of umami, along with a forgettable bun and fries that became oily and mushy way too quickly. The margarita picante is hardly spicy, so don't worry about letting your spice-averse friends take a sip.

My mom had the chicken salad, which she said was satisfying, and my husband ordered the eggs, ham, toast and French fries, a solid classic breakfast that he enjoyed. We also had a side of bacon that were tasty and crunchy just I liked them. Overall, Elysian Cafe had a cozy neighborhood atmosphere and good service that makes it a pleasant place to spend a.weekend brunch. That said, I found some of the food to be underwhelming. The menu we had was specific to the tasting even but all made by the same everyday chef. The first course was white asparagus with a hollandaise sauce and that was so tender and delicious but light enough that I wasn't full at all. The second course was halibut with risotto and crab and there was so much meatiness. It was my favorite place and the flavors went so well together. Next was grilled oysters and I've never liked oysters but these were amazing! The bacon and breadcrumbs that had a slight lemon flavor went so well with the oysters. Next was lamb loin with stewed white beans and carrots. The lamb was medium rare, I could have skipped the beans but that's me. Dessert was a strawberry Terrine which was full of fresh and authentic strawberry flavor. I would come back and try their normal menu and also do a tasting again as it was delicious and reasonably priced.

There was only one other family dining, and the space stayed empty the entire time. The service was genuinely great. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and a really cute, cozy space. I especially loved the Christmas décor and overall vibe--it felt warm and inviting. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the prices. The house salad was $13 and honestly one of the most basic, smallest, and most boring salads I've ever had--very underwhelming for the cost. We also ordered quesadillas, a cheeseburger with fries, and grilled cheese with tomato soup. My son enjoyed the burger and fries, and the quesadillas were flavorful, generously filled with chicken and veggies, and came with sour cream, pico, and guac. The tomato soup was tasty, while the grilled cheese was just okay. One small but appreciated detail: canned soda. Cold, crisp, and not flat which is always a win. Lunch for 3 came in just under $100, which felt high given what we received. One frustration was being seated in a tight corner right next to the kitchen even though the dining room was completely empty. We were so close I could literally see into the kitchen and count items on the shelves. On top of that, the hostess repeatedly walked by calling out "corner," which became distracting and honestly a bit irritating. Overall, I liked the vibe, but the food-to-price ratio missed the mark for me. It wasn't bad--just alright.

It actually rotated (very slowly) throughout the meal so I was able to enjoy an entire 360-degree view of the restaurant (more than once). Our server, George, was fantastic! He gave excellent recommendations and when there was a song playing that I couldn't Shazam, he wrote the name of it down for me! My cocktail, Frequent Flyer, was 10/10 and the perfect mix of sweet and tart. Someone could easily order those all night long since it was masterfully crafted and wasn't overpowered with alcohol. For starters, I ordered the Ceviche sushi roll. It had all of the flavors of Peruvian-style ceviche and had a lovely presentation. My entree of skirt steak with polenta fries was seamlessly executed. I ordered the steak medium-rare and it had the right amount of char with the meat being very tender. The chimichurri sauce was a really nice accompaniment. Although I was full, I was able to muster up some room for dessert and had the bourbon apple bread pudding. It was really lovely and the perfect way to end an amazing meal. I'd return to Drift in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it.

We were a party of 9 and…read morethey were able to accommodate our reservation outdoors as there was space (Outdoor dining is first come/first serve). This was my first time here, though I've been to Blu on the Hudson a few times so I felt Drift's menu and interior was a copycat of Blu. Unfortunately, the service at Drift was very poor, compared to Blu. Although the large restaurant was fairly empty inside and not at full capacity outside, service was slow and absent. Our waitress barely came by and neither did the bus boys - finally when I got up to refill my own cup of water, he darted over. There were multiple times my water glass was empty and no one in sight to offer a refill. Even the manager got a little attitude with me when I asked him to bring out new utensils (ours were cleared with our appetizers). We'd had already been waiting a while for our entrees to come and I could just anticipate all of our entrees coming out and us having no silverware to eat them with. Moving to the food, I thought the food was generally good, although not the best value. The rice balls were tasty but on the smaller side - they come 4 to an order. The whipped ricotta was yummy but the small plate of 4 pieces of focaccia is not sufficient for the amount. It's $2 for each extra plate of 4 slices. The rice cakes weren't as good as the ones at Blu. The beet salad was less of a salad and more like a plate of Greek yogurt with garnish around it - would not recommend. For entrees, several of us ordered sushi rolls. I thought the happy ending, Miyazaki and aloha rolls were good. My friend did not like her king California roll. The branzino and sea bass portions were small for the cost. We didn't order dessert since the meal moved so slowly and it was already late by the time we finished our entrees. We had to wait a while to get our check and then we got out of there. They also should have someone who checks the bathrooms regularly and tidies them up - the stall I went into was out of toilet paper in both dispensers and instead of replacing the empty rolls, they left the new one the dirty floor. All in all, I don't think I'd come back here again when practically the same restaurant is next door and I had better experiences there.
