A Warm, Authentic Gem You'll Fall in Love With…read more My fiancée, Likseva, and I stopped in tonight on our way back to Brooklyn and it instantly became one of those special finds you never forget. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with kindness and warmth by the owner, a lovely Montenegrin-Albanian woman who runs this restaurant with genuine pride and heart. You can feel her touch in everything, from the cozy lighting to the soft music playing in the background. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was layered with flavor, balance, and soul. You can tell this is real Mediterranean cuisine, made by someone who truly loves what she does. The staff was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was calm and comforting, and everything about the evening felt genuine. This is more than a restaurant. It's a place built on tradition, care, and love. Likseva and I will absolutely be coming back soon to visit the owner again and enjoy another beautiful dinner together. As a Marine Corps Colonel who has traveled and dined all over the world, I can say that Cafe Latte is a place that stands out in every way. Highly recommended. #CafeLatte #StatenIsland #MediterraneanCuisine #HiddenGem #MarineCorpsColonelApproved #BrooklynToStatenIsland #AlbanianHospitality #MontenegrinSpirit #LiksevaAndMark "Me zemër e me shpirt" - with heart and soul

This was our first time and we tried the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich, the KOVA Breakfast, and spicy fries. We both asked for our eggs to be cooked medium and they were probably the closest to over medium we've ever received at a restaurant! Most of the time, they end up coming out over easy, so this shows their attention to detail. The food was absolutely delicious. We also tried an iced matcha and iced lavender mocha coffee, both of which were very good. The inside of this place is very clean and chic. I also enjoyed the coffee-shop-type background music they play. We are not from the area, but if we are back in the area, we will definitely be stopping by for another visit.

They had a lot of cream inside and outside. They were a bit bigger than normal and to me, looked more like cakes than croissants. I got the chocolate and strawberry flavors (my kids tried them and liked them - I couldn't, gluten allergy:( ). The kids couldn't finish them and just had half. The cost of a croissant- close to $10 each! The place was clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and I liked that Turkish tea gets served on a tiny Persian rug. With that said, I can't get past the price tag. I just think it is way too expensive for what it is.

The photos look like they could be from there, but maybe way back in the most vital days of NYC Stapleton was on the map with such a trendy place. One can only hope someone has such a vision and starts something like this here! What an inspiration. Meanwhile for now this remains a mystery, perhaps an homage to a bygone era, or just a fantasy. We will never know.

Setting (5/5): the interior of this place is simple and chic with a focus on sheep. There is a good amount of seating and tables that can fit four comfortably. If you need chill study vibes, I would definitely check this place out. Drinks (5/5): I got the mocha and really enjoyed it! It had a rich, but not too sweet chocolate taste and it wasn't bitter. The little latte design on top was also a nice touch. And I think that summary of their coffee being rich and slightly sweet is reflective of their other drinks too (my friend got the Americano and agreed that it had a natural sweet taste too it). Also I will say their music choices are great and it's not too noisy here so you can have a nice chat or really dive deep into a book or email here.

You go and pick out the deserts you like from the glass and they come and bring it out to you all pretty on a plate with powdered sugar, the deserts felt cold and fresh even despite it being close to closing and our server was very attentive, kind, and excited even showing us his favourite options! Went to this place after getting off the road all the way from Westchester with my elderly mother…read morebecause she wanted eggplant Parmesan and she had eaten from this place before when a relative was staying at a hospital rehabilitation center nearby and remembered the food being good, so we went to have some lunch. We were seated in the outdoor area, which is nice on a humid day as You can get a decent breeze. 99% of the people who were there were just enjoying their their food and socializing, We decided to sit at a table near a window for whatever reason there was a gentleman at this table who decided that it was okay for him to vape while he was sitting down instead of exiting the restaurant. Not only did he decide that it was okay to vape, he decided that it was okay to blow his vapors onto my mother's head and engulf us in his gaping experience. Instead of noticing (full time hostess in the immediate area), automatically reseating us, apologizing and telling the man that is NOT okay to vape in the restaurant I had to flag a server down and let them know that we wanted a different table. Pretty good service but I really thought that that was a gross oversight on part of the restaurant like indoor smoking is illegal in the first place and vaping really isn't any better (arguably worse depending on what scientific data you're looking at), plenty people have respiratory issues and just preference period. No one should be forced to sit anywhere where a no vaping policy isn't being enforced in 2026. Really disappointed that I can't give this place a higher than a three star rating as a result because the food is pretty good and the servers were quick and pleasant, but the smoking issue to me is a gross oversight as far as basic customer service goes. People shouldn't be made to feel like they're being weird for wanting a different table because they don't want to be surrounded by anything but oxygen, Do better folks. Tried to call and speak with a manager BEFORE leaving this review, was left on hold for close to 10 mins however manager was extremely apologetic and pretty appalled he personally stated that vaping IS against their policy and that the staff should have absolutely been enforcing that. Welp, that's what complaints are for right? Food is decent and staff is respectful but I don't know if I'd go back given that experience if I have alternative choices in the area just trying to enjoy some lunch, drama and discomfort is not necessary indoor vaping is outlawed for a reason people violating that shouldn't get to just go about their day with zero consequences while everyone else is annoyed or having their lung / cardiovascular health put at risk involuntarily. YMMV
