It was such a great night the food was delicious. I had the scallops with mashed potatoes and asparagus my friend had the halibut . We ordered a bottle Moët champagne which was very great I'd and the presentation was also well done. Jorge was our server he is attentive and very charming . We had the molten lava cake fur dessert so good . My only complaint is I researched this restaurant online . Looked at memo pricing etc well on their website it shows a bottle of Don Perrion for 250.00 dollars so o told my bff who Was paying for the meal I would pay for that bottle. I've been to Mr. V's a few times and thought it was fine. It's a nice place to go if you're going to the La Mirada Performing Arts Center. However, I have never experienced Greek Nights which happen every Friday and Saturday starting at 10 pm. All I can say is that we had a blast and will be returning. We actually started at the bar. There was a live singer/ entertainer that sang r&b pop songs and also played the sax and the flute. Very talented and lots of fun. He finished at 10 and then we moved to the main dining room. In the dining room there was live Greek band with both male and female vocals. We actually went with a Greek friend and he told us they were legit. The crowd starting coming in a bit later and most of the people seemed Greek and seemed to know each other. Let me tell you, by the time we left we felt like Greek family. The menu changes from steakhouse to Greek as well. We had no idea this was a regular thing there but so happy to have discovered it. We will be back. read more

Had one of the best dining experiences here. The service is incredible. The wine options are excellent. Most importantly the food is amazing. Love the ambience and atmosphere. From the moment we arrived everything went perfectly. The bread was sooo good! I had the Mediterranean Chicken Plate and every bite was amazing. The hummus and pita were delicious. The chicken was juicy and the pilaf was fluffy. Every single item complimented each flavor perfectly to make this the perfect dish to order. To end this amazing dinner I had the molten lava cake paired with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious and the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, highly recommended! We've been here multiple times, but this is the first time to leave a review. Every time we have been here the food has been amazing tasteful, we are served well, and the vibe, depending on what side you sit on and what time you go, can vary. They have a bar lounge side which is separate from the more formal dining side . Both have entertainment depending on the time you go. Although it is "fine dining", people come dressed casual to classy . So it's great that there is no pressure to be dressed up. We ended up getting greeted by Jorge, and he was such a personable person. Towards the end of the evening we had connected, and it seems he connects with a lot of his customers by remembering their faces and where they usually sit! It's also nice when the manager on duty (T--- not sure of spelling of his name!) is walking around greeting all tables (and running out of the restaurant with a huge smile bringing my water bottle I left under the table! ) anyways, my favorite yummy of the evening was the martini. I usually get the standard espresso one, but wanted to try out the white chocolate one....boy it was GOOD!!!!!! and the glass seemed larger than usual places where I get martinis ! so again..if you find a place that has a server you enjoy, always give them a reservation call and find out what table area their at! I remember seeing when this place was being built as a kid and had always wanted to try it out. And I'm glad that recently was my second time there and the service is exceptional. The environment is fun and inviting and the food was absolutely great. I had a T-bone steak bone in medium rare and it was just a great cut. Came through in a big group for my brother's graduation. Parking situation was tough. The customer service from the start was TOP NOTCH! We ate to our hearts content the entire way through. I got the pan seared halibut, which was decent and nothing to rave about. My brother got the cowboy steak and I tried a bit.. PHENOMENAL. My Tia got shrimp scampi.. AMAZING. My sister's boyfriend got something with chicken.. WHOA BOMB. The breads with butter was a great bit on top because I can take tons of that down! Lastly, the calamari was just great too. This place has been recommended quite a bit so we decided to finally try it. After figuring out parking, we only had to wait about 15 min. Our server was Jorge and he did a fantastic job. He was very helpful, had great timing, and was not overbearing. The food was excellent, other than the sides. Brussels sprouts were not worth the upcharge, nor were the mushrooms. My steak was cooked perfectly, had a beautiful crust, and seasoned well. The parm crusted Chilean sea bass was spot on. We of course had to order dessert and both were delicious. The restaurant itself has a nice vibe to it, perfect date night or celebratory location, while the bar is more causal and good for watching a game. Parking can be tough. We dined at Mr. V's for dinner before a show. We ordered the crab cakes, baked brie with crostini, chicken Alfredo, and shrimp & scallops skewers. Pros: -chicken Alfredo was good -free valet parking -cheap, decent wine -our server was good but not very friendly Cons: -crab cakes were covered in a sweet chili sauce that didn't go well together -brie was served with parmesan garlic bread (not crostini) and marinara sauce that mediocre at best -shrimp was just ok and the scallops were covered in a chewy, undercooked bacon. For $50, I would have expected my four scallops to have been seared and cooked perfectly. read more

Mr. V's is located next to a gas station on a busy retail driven corner of town. However, once you pull up you realize Mr. V's is a happening place. They offer complimentary valet parking, how great is that? My party of four had a reservation (a must) and as we walked in we immediately felt the energy as the bar was busy and the foyer was as well, with diners waiting to be seated. We were seated on the side of the restaurant where later that night entertainment was due to start at 1O pm ( this was Friday night). Our waiter, Jorge came and opened the wine we brought and answered our menu questions. Service by him and the bussers was impeccable, professional, warm and attentive. We ordered a variety of dishes, all of which were well executed, and we were out the door to our show in plenty of time. 1 Star Unfortunately, my experience at Mr. V's in La Mirada was extremely disappointing, mainly because of the way we were treated by our server. From the beginning, our server came across as rude and disrespectful. I was nearly yelled at multiple times, which made me feel uncomfortable and completely unwelcome. Regardless of how busy a restaurant may be, customers should never feel like they are being spoken to aggressively or disrespectfully. What should have been a nice dining experience instead became stressful because of the way our server communicated with us. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but there is a basic level of professionalism and courtesy that should always be shown to customers. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed our experience, and based on how we were treated, I would hesitate to return. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses how customers are being treated. read more

This place just isn't family friendly. We brought our 12mo old baby here for a 5pm reservation and we were met with side glances and gruff service. We were not welcomed from the start and it progressively got more rushed, clearly trying to turn over the table faster. We had our appetizer and finished our drinks and skipped the main courses. First time at Mr. V's! Started off in the lounge and they have live music on Friday and Saturday nights. He is basically a one man band but he was so good! So good we will be back just for him. Food was good and servers were fast and efficient. The only complaint I had was I asked for dessert at 10pm while in the lounge/bar area and my waiter said the kitchen was closed and that that area was closing soon. Last call is 10:30pm yet the restaurant stays open till 1am. So after we cashed out we asked if we could sit on the other side where there are dinner tables and we were relocated. I was able to order dessert there. Seems weird as it is all one kitchen. Had the crème brûlée which was well worth moving to the other side for. In the restaurant side they had live Greek music which was different for us but we enjoyed it. Will be back to the lounge and to try more menu items. read more

Our first time trying Mr. V's. Shrimp cocktail, two beef and reefs, steak, creme brulee... My brother in law and I were shocked when they brought out the beef and reef with TWO lobster tails. Everything was cooked to perfection. Steaks, including the filet mignon were so tender they could be cut with a fork. Lobster tails were large and cooked perfectly. We arrived just after opening so restaurant was relatively empty and quiet. Server was great, attentive and helpful with menu. Definitely a place that goes on our "do over" list. read more

They were more than accommodating and we were able to get us a table right away. We were hoping for some Greek food and it turns out the owners are Greek. This isn't too far from our house, so we'll hit it up a few times a year. At a glance, it's a higher end steakhouse with an okay bar and red leather lined booths. We recently learned that it's owned by the Tam's Burgers titan who converted this once Chinese restaurant into the dinner location of his desires. The menu is all over the place...steaks/chops, Chinese (an homage to the former establishment), Greek (to celebrate the owner's heritage), pastas, seafood, etc. There is something for everyone. I will say that the aromatic shrimp and kabob plates are pretty tasty. What we didn't know is after 10PM on Saturday nights, this restaurant becomes a hubbub of Greek entertainment. A full band sets up in the dining room complete with singers brought in from Greece. The dining room is made into a late night supper club with plenty of Greek seniors who stroll in at 11/11:30PM to enjoy and dance the night away. These folks get down! I know where I'm going if I need a good meal and some people watching late Saturday nights. read more
