The small chicken/beef bowl
Jerry A.

The food for my first time being here is amazing! I got the chicken and beef bowl small! You can choose the spice level. For being a small it is a damn good size! The prices on drinks are not bad either. 2.99 for a large is great when everywhere cost more! I will definitely be back to have the rest of the menu! The service was fast and reliable! Ambiance is nice and the classical music they play sets it!

Tried Mr Teriyaki after driving by for years. We chose the Deluxe Size Teriyaki Chicken & Beef & an order of Crunch Rolls. Both were good overall. The Deluxe comes with a lot of rice under the meat so the protein to carb ratio is a tad out of balance. The beef is cut into thin ribbons & there were small to medium pieces of chicken that I liked more than the beef. Chinese Chicken Salad comes with it. I wish I saw more chicken in the salad though. My BF enjoyed the creamy 1000 Island style dressing while I prefer the oil-based, somewhat sweet salad dressing that several other places use. Would have loved to see some shredded chicken as opposed to a few bits of it as I mentioned but liked the crunchy topping. If they included a scoop of macaroni salad it would have made the Deluxe...well, more deluxe. We also got the Crunch Roll. It's less expensive than most places & it was a good choice. There's more to the menu that we'll try next time. While we weren't overwhelmed with the portions we didn't feel gouged with super crazy prices either. These days we're all paying more for food so we appreciate their efforts to offer decent meals & beverages for a decent price, hence the 4 stars. The man who helped us was nice & seemed to take pride in his business. It's located in a small strip mall with a smallish parking lot. There are several booths for eating in & it looks like they do a brisk Take-Out business as well.

Deluxe Spicy Beef bowl with Chinese chicken salad

As someone who has gone to Flame Broiler and Waba Grill for years I will say I'd pick Mr. Teriyaki over both. You can get the same things and more from Mr. Teriyaki at a fraction of the price. They also play music and have all the doors open so you get a nice breeze when it's hot. I have driven past this place for years and never stopped in until today. The prices are great and the flavor is as well. Will be coming back.

Mr Teriyaki was noticed on our way to Western High School for a wrestling tournament. we came in, nice and clean and our order was taken quickly. we had a 1. teriyaki bowl 2. mongolian noodle and shrimp plate 3. egg rolls 4. california roll 5. beef and chicken plate my 10 year old, as picky as he is, cleared his bowl in minutes. loved it. wife and i shared items 2-5 to no exception, everything was terrific. although the taste of the noodles was not agreeing to my palate, it was good nonetheless. but the teriyaki, fugeddaboudit... california roll... fresh. when we roll by again, we will stop n to say hi. thank you Your new Friends from Thousand Oaks.

I decided to try several different teriyaki places in LA and Orange county area for the 2018 &2019 @EatCheapwithPete Teriyaki Challenge. Mr. Teriyaki did not make the top three. I got the deluxe chicken and beef combo for $9.99. It comes with Chinese chicken salad and it had a creamy dressing and a crunchy topping. The plate at first looked like a nice size portion however I discovered a lot of rice when I started to dig into my Styrofoam container. For the cost, I was expecting more protein and less rice. I enjoyed the chicken more than the beef. The chicken had a nice char and good teriyaki flavor. The staff is super friendly. The restaurant is part of a shopping center and there is plenty of parking.

I loved this place! It was very apparent that the food was of amazing quality. The food is made on the spot. Unlike many other Chinese food places with food that's been out all day under heat lamps Highly recommend this place!

Doesn't look like much when you pass by, but let me tell you!! THE FOOD IS AMAZING! The owner I think it was took our order, we sat down and when it was ready, he showed up each plate to ensure everything we ordered was correct. NOW I APPRECIATE THAT!!! Anyhow we ordered 2 beef bowls, 1 Mongolian Plate, and 1 half and half. Its made fresh as you can hear the grill in the back cooking up our items. Its very clean on the inside and you get what you pay for. There are lots of tables if you decide to have a big party there. Bathrooms are clean and overall a great place to eat. If your in the area, check it out, you wont be disappointed!!

Came for ramen... somehow ordered a whole feast!…read more Gomen Ramen has been serving Stanton since 2002, with roots tracing back to Ide Shoten in Wakayama, Japan. There's plenty to enjoy beyond ramen, too! We tried the black garlic ramen, katsu curry rice, gyoza, calamari, and croquettes. The black garlic ramen combines pork-bone soy broth with black garlic oil, chashu, and egg--a great choice for garlic lovers. The katsu curry comes with a breaded pork cutlet, Japanese curry, and rice. Such a comforting combo! We also enjoyed gyoza with a savory filling, lightly crispy calamari, and golden croquettes with a soft, creamy center. So many good bites to share! The service was friendly, and the dining area was clean and comfortable. There's also a shared parking lot outside.

I had to try to get his attention otherwise probably would've had to wait even longer. Food came out shortly after ordering so that was good. Server came over with our check while we were eating, dropped off our check without saying anything, while telling those at the table next to us (who came 2 groups after us but got their food before us), "no rush, take your time". Shortly, he came back while my husband was feeding my toddler (literally chopsticks in mouth), that they need to close the check out as register is closing, are we ready to pay? My husband had to tell him to wait a minute... Server didn't say anything to the table next to us until a little before we left (they left after us). I totally get that they need to take lunch break but why the difference in treatment? In addition, I had to ask for things such as utensils/bowl and high chair for my toddler instead of being offered in the first place. Food: ramen was mid, but for the price was great to try. Karaage flavorful, gyoza pan fried oily but not overly fried. Food came out fast. I wouldn't come back because of their service. I want to give them benefit of the doubt, but it honestly left a pretty bad impression. What a bummer...

For starters we each received a small chilled watermelon topped with creamy burrata (surprisingly delicious together) and vegetable crudités with spicy aioli. In the end we shared three desserts plus a complementary birthday dessert: Best panna cotta around : soft textured and lots of berries, Walnut cream brulee - not overly sweet and wonderful sugar crust crunch, Mango sorbet and a bread pudding topped with dark chocolate plus a burnt caramel sauce. Highly recommend reserving ahead. Would love to come again for my next family birthday. I believe the menu may have slight changes from time to time. Very personable serve and wait staff. I actually really liked breaded shrimp. It was very crispy and the batter wasn't too thick. The tar tar sauce it came with was so good. The Hamburg steak was really good with the Demi glaze sauce. Ambiance: Cute lil mini store inside Rodeo 39 Public Market…read more(located on the left side). Plenty of parking spaces BUT parking can be quite busy depending on time and day. Service: As I arrived there was only one girl at the counter. She was very nice and told us if we had any questions or help to let her know. Self Serve at the counter and there are two large tablets where you input your orders! NOTE: NO CASH ONLY CARD. We came on a Friday, July 3rd around 1pm. It wasn't too busy at the time for me. Good service. Food: BEST onigiri iv had! Iv tried the kbbq, mentaiko, honey walnut, and spicy salmon onigiri. My two favorite were the mentaiko and spicy salmon onigiri. The mentaiko (fish eggs) was delicious, it was salty but like the good saltiness (not overly salty if that makes sense haha) and keep in mind that it is a tad spicy but for me I can handle it because I love anything spicy! Now the spicy salmon onigiri was PERFECT. Not too spicy (perfect for those who likes a mild spice) and creamy. My bf ordered spicy salmon as well and honey walnut shrimp. Both he said were delicious and his favorite was the honey walnut shrimp! For the kbbq, it was delicious too! Reminded me of Kbbq! All onigiris came with seasoned furikake and seaweed (there's an option if u want it on the side or remove it). There is also ahi tube poke and 3 sauces to choose from. I chose 1 spicy mayo on the side and it tasted really good with the onigiri. Each onigiri is labeled on the wrapper so it's easy to know which is which. I personally think think this onigiri store has a good amount of filling which I love! Drinks we ordered strawberry lemonade and regular lemonade. 5/5 great drinks and refreshing on a hot day. Overall everything was a 10/10 for me. If you really want to be full full, eat 4 onigiris, if u want to be full but not TOO full, 3 is good enough! Definitely will come back and will recommend this place to friends and family!

The Zarusoba was good, but it would be nice if they gave a bit more sauce for dipping. I also got a Sashimi Salad, which had a lot of sashimi! It had salmon, tuna, and a white fish. Pretty good, but it could have used a little more dressing as well. The Combination Plate with Salmon and Tempura was enjoyable. It comes with a piece of salmon, a variety of tempura (shrimp, broccoli, sweet potato, onion), side salad, miso soup, rice, tempura sauce, and teriyaki sauce. Salmon was cooked well, and I liked all of the tempura! Their Lunch Specials are originally what caught my eye, but it seems like they don't have anything similar for dinner. Instead, everything is a la carte with the exception of a few combination plates. I wish they would do dinner specials similar to their lunch specials! Parking here is pretty difficult. The lot gets packed with several cars circling around hunting for a spot. They're also going some construction right now which doesn't help.
