Look NO further!!! In case you don't want to read, here's the summary: AFFORDABLE. FAST. FRIENDLY. PROFESSIONAL. FLAWLESS. -- I called Mr T's shop about a week before I got the windows on my Corolla tinted. I was quoted a very reasonable and fair price for all windows (not the windshield) over the phone. I talked to many different staff members over the phone each time I called to ask various questions. Each was professional, helpful, and friendly. Not to mention knowledgeable of the shop's procedures, pricing, and services. The day before my appointment, Mr T called and asked if I could bring my car in a day early, but I couldn't. They were overbooked. The shop was understanding and didn't try to shift around my appointment or anything like other shops might have. I took my car in at opening time (9 AM) and mentioned the ad on the website. Just a mere 3 hours later, my car was returned to the lot outside in the same condition as I handed it over. The only difference was, now, my beautiful 4 doors and rear window were tinted. Mr T called me and I went in. I initially expected I might have to argue because they would charge me more than the quoted price... however, they rang me up for the *same, affordable* price given over the phone. Mr T. gave me a small instructional paper that told me how to care for my new tint. He asked how I liked my tint, and I told him it was beautiful. He recommended their other services, including remote start which he gave an estimated price for. I'll definitely be going HERE if I decide to have that done. Again, if you want your car to look as stunning as mine, look no further than Mr T's Auto Craft, located conveniently in the heart of Downtown Dayton.

I paid Mr. T Autocraft to install a dashcam and backup battery, then a bit over a year later paid them once again to take it out. They did not; in fact chopping ends off of the wires used to ground, and tap into the fuse box of my vehicle. They also discarded or kept other non-necessary wires and connectors that were included in the box of my new battery backup. They left the fuse tap in the fuse panel instead of removing it as they should have. The fuse they tapped into was for the windshield wipers, and it came loose after they cut the end of the wire, which caused the windshield wipers to quit working intermittently a few days later as I was driving in heavy rain on I-70. It is only luck that I thought to check the fuse box and found out the cause. If I would have taken the car to the dealer to check the windshield wipers I am sure they would have charged a diagnostic fee to fix the problem, that is if I was not in the hospital or worse due to Mr. T negligence in failing to remove the fuse tap properly. I sued Mr. T in small claims, and although I was awarded a small amount to cover the wires/connectors that Mr. T either kept or thew away, I was not awarded a partial or full refund for the install. I respectfully disagree with the magistrate who decided that even though Mr. T had left wires in my car and fuse box, this was somehow "proper" and compliant with industry standards. I disagree as I think that any reasonable person would consider this to be an incomplete, and careless uninstall of wiring. I am posing pictures of how I found this in my fuse box, and the public can decide if you agree with me. The installers and owner, I think his name is Jim, were very arrogant, rude and condescending in my dealings with them, and the owner bragged in court the Mr. T had been in business for over 50 years and does not need to advertise because they don't have to. I also had gone to Mr. T initially as they had a great reputation, but I have since read reviews that state otherwise, and at least one stated that their quality of work and customer service had gone downhill ever since Jim became the new owner. It is my opinion that Mr. T customer service is poor, attitude towards customer's concerns and safety is non-existent once they have your money, and at least in my case and in my opinion, the work is incompetent. Perhaps the public can decide if Mr. T is deserving of having a great "word of mouth" reputation. As far as I am concerned, they do not and I urge others to seek tint and electronics installation elsewhere.

He provided me with wiring diagrams, and some basic advice. This shop was able to set me up with enough components to create a working car audio setup. Crucially, they didn't offer guidance toward a quality sound. I brought back the assembled stereo Equipped to the car, and asked the guy to set my head unit up. He spent some time with it and sent me on my way. I understand that this goes beyond what a shop meant to do installs is supposed to provide, and maybe I asked too much from them. Long story short, that guy just boosted my treble way up and didn't teach me anything about EQ adjustments. He sent me outta there with just an ear damaging setup. I would have appreciated some more in depth guidance on equipment selection, EQ, and mounting hardware.

The space had been remodified to fit the prior stereo with NO GAP. But this... why in the world wouldn't you call the customer FIRST to say, "there's an issue." No call was made. He went back today to voice our concerns and basically, there was nothing they could do or would do to rectify this. (uh yeah, you could buy another stereo faceplate for $100) we would NEVER have paid $1200 for a crap show of a look like this! One call could have resolved all of this. It's the poorest workmanship either of us has ever seen. Don't expect any communication regarding issues in fitting. It was truly an utterly disappointing experience with the installation and customer service.

Unfortunately, this recent situation did not reflect the level of service I had come to expect. I had a small tint defect that I noticed from day one after installation, but did not address with the business. Over a year later, it appeared to delaminate, which can occur when a contaminant trapped between the glass and adhesive creates a localized adhesion failure that worsens over time through heat cycles, thermal expansion, and adhesive stress. The defect was a circular mark with a visible halo around it, which is more consistent with a localized adhesion issue than a typical surface abrasion. When I brought it in, multiple staff members repeatedly insisted it was "physical damage," including the explanation that a seatbelt could create a perfectly circular mark in the middle of the window. That explanation did not align with the defect I was seeing, especially since seatbelt contact would more typically leave an elongated scuff, arc, or irregular abrasion rather than a clean, centered circle with a halo. It was frustrating to feel like my concern was dismissed rather than properly evaluated. To their credit, they ultimately agreed to redo the tint at no charge. However, during the replacement process I noticed another contaminant before leaving and had to point it out for correction. After the second attempt, there was still a visible dust speck in the upper corner, which I was told was "acceptable" as long as it was not in the main line of sight. I appreciate that they honored the redo, but the overall experience was disappointing. The repeated insistence that the original issue was my fault, the need for multiple attempts, and the remaining defect did not match the quality and attention to detail I had experienced from them over the years. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, because I truly valued this business and would like to see them maintain the standard that originally earned my trust.

So I made an appointment at 8:30 for my 2022 forester sport and was told I would be out the door by 11:30 So I showed up to check out what they had and found something that I thought would be decent And agreed to let Matt (the installer) put the stuff in my car, And he let me watch him do the entire process pretty much which was cool and all seem to be going well until he realized my car wouldn't start after hooking everything up and then he claimed it was my battery and tried to jump it and even tried putting another battery in my car with no success He nicked a wire on my harness trying to feed a power wire through my firewall and had to cut open one of the wires on my wire harness because he thought that was the problem and that wasn't even the issue clearly so after hours an hours they sent me home in a Range Rover at 3am that damn near had a flat tire and a dead battery SO I had to have my neighbor jump me the following day just to come back the next day to find out "it was a fuse" but now have a check engine light on my car and Chris and Matt both told me that if I drove my car 200 miles it would go away and tried to convince me with screenshots from Google AI and even I knew that was not true.lied straight to my face.so I Essentially paid $1300 To have a check engine light put on my vehicle for a PCM code, which was a open circuit issue so I took my car to Subaru just to find out my PCM Relay was broken and the repair done on my wire harness was not good enough to keep my electric warranty because it wasn't just one wire it was three wires that were damaged and my boot for the harness was destroyed so I lost my warranty on a car I got 1 month ago getting a system installed at this place and I got a quote for $7500 from Subaru in damages and tried to ask the owner directly if he would give me his insurance to fix my car which he turned around and insulted me right afterwards saying " Yeah, when you left the other day, you kicked up a rock and now I need $43,000 and need your info" which was insane that the owner would downplay damage caused to my vehicle and disregarding everything and they just were giving me the runaround telling me oh it's this oh it's that We will get you together, but nothing about getting my car back to how I brought it to them And they even went as far as trying to tell me they wanted to work on my car the following weekend, After I thought about it, I thought why would I let these people who caused me over $7000 in damage for a small system work on my car again so I'm not going to I took it to a professional over at Audio Sensations in westchester and they literally fixed everything they did wrong and got it done right the first time and I was able to get my damaged wires properly fixed instead of just taped up so after paying these guys almost $1300 I had to go somewhere else And pay even more money to fix a broken pcm relay,3 wires on my harness and my boot mended to get my car back in acceptable condition because the owner clearly didn't care an honestly I could not trust these guys to work on my car again and even took the other shop up on more upgrades for my Subarus sound system because they actually are trust worthy and told me they would never have a problem, giving me their insurance if they damaged my car,my experience overall was terrible honestly and I won't be coming back and can't recommend this place to anyone,PS the sub they sold me blew not even a week after getting it So I went to Xtreme sound and got a even better setup, crazy experience lol what a waste of 1300+ dollars...
