I brought my 15 year old Toyota Prius in to analyze whether or not I should keep the vehicle or…read morereplace it. The apparent extensive diagnostic was impressive. My "brakes" "traction control" & "ABS" lights were on! They told me it was not my ABS unit & told me $2,600 would fix the brakes & I thought "I'll keep the car" because that wasn't too much! Less than 12 hours after picking up the car all the lights were back as well as the grinding noise! They bled the brakes several times but again less than 24 hours the lights & grinding were back! Now they thought the ABS might be going bad??!! But they said the brakes were safe. After taking it back the 3rd time they said the accumulator was bad & it would be $3,500 to fix it! This was exactly the position I want ed to avoid! $6,100 and I shouldn't have kept the car! I was referred to the owner who I told this was exactly the "good money after bad" position I was trying to avoid! The extremely unprofessional owner hung up on me intentionally 3 times! I wasn't yelling (or screaming obscenities) like I wanted to but the owning said he wouldn't help at all & hung up on me! One of his other employees thought he would help too by the way! Maybe this place is good for oil changes or wider blade installations but anything more complicated than that you want to avoid wasting your time & money. My UNSAFE (verified by another better auto shop) Prius still has all the lights & the grinding noise it originally did! That supposed 36 month warranty didn't last even 36 hours!

Thanks to the Dixon's automotive for diagnosing and solving some running issues with my Ram truck…read more It now runs like a top! Paul and Zack are very easy to talk with and clearly walked me through the vehicle issues. Very fair pricing and will trust Dixon's again for my repairs. Symon

OK, where to go with this? I would have offered up all 5 stars but "somebody" has to take heat for…read moremy transmission failing! Dang! Sigh, I went back and changed it up to 5. I went to the Brownies on 725 out by Miamisburg. I can honestly say that I got EXACTLY what I paid for. It just hurts to pay so much for it! But that is a reflection on my checkbook and not the service I received. The story is a familiar one...add a quart of fluid to the trannie...make the 3 mile run...add another quart...finish the trip. Yeah, it was that bad. The options presented to me were simple. Rebuild, new, or scrap...not a whole lot of in-between there. Not wanting a car payment at this point in my life, we went for the rebuild. Good points? I thought the folks were VERY upfront with me on what was coming. Words like "we might" and "maybe" were not bandied about. It was rather disconcerting to hear the ugly truth but....I knew exactly what I was in for. In fact, these guys called me twice just to keep me posted on work progress and readily worked with me on a pickup schedule. Bad points? Just didn't want to pay the bill...though they did offer some fairly generous payment terms that we did not avail ourselves of. That said, the car fairly hums along now! The Brownies gang did insist that I return in 2-4 weeks to confirm that everything was working correctly and no leaks, I haven't done that yet but expect no issues when I do. All in all, I feel respected as a customer...kind of odd in the car repair world.

Ruined two of my cars…read more This shop is completely scandalous. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE!!! These people were not even capable of jump starting my van. -Had to go to shop to teach them how to charge a battery. -They burned up starter in the process. -Vehicle with brand new tires was returned with used tires. -Fly wheel for starter was not secured on subaru. Starter sheared off flywheel bolts inside transmission and trashed it. If I could give negative stars I would. This shop is completely scandalous. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE!!! (unless you want to scrap it). Only reason they look like they have a full parking lot with many customers, is the fact that they have alot of do over work to perform. If I was the type of person, I would sue the crap out of them!!!!!

Simon and his staff are the real deal. This automotive shop is honest with fair prices. Simon is…read morean expert diagnostician. He has a staff of excellent mechanics. They don't con you with showing you a filter or whatever and telling you that you need hundreds of dollars of unnecessary work. But most importantly, they find out what is wrong and they fix it. Simon might inform you that since they are doing something on your car, they could also perform some preventive maintenance that might be due soon, since your car is there. But it is information. Not a hard sell. The guy eats and sleeps cars. He not only attends auto races, but races himself. This shop used to be a transmission shop owned by a guy named Mike, but Simon bought it several years ago and he does general automotive maintenance and repair with all the modern diagnostic equipment. One time my car needed a tow and A-Dayton arranged it through another tow business. Couldn't beat the price and service. The last time I was there, they took meticulous care with COVID-19 precautions. Masks, gloves, social distancing and cleaning door handles and any part of the interior they might touch. Made me feel safe. I am a physician and I was impressed with the health precautions. They pay attention to detail.

Simon and crew are amazing at their work and just incredibly helpful - I've used them for years and…read moreI'll keep taking my cars there :)
