My windshield had a small crack which grew into a series of lines, reaching all the way to the edges. I had contacted a few well-known places, but found their prices WAY out of my price range. Thankfully, I called American Auto Glass, who told me they could replace my windshield for $200 -- for parts and labor. They also came to my location, with no charge. The scheduling process was as easy as could be. The technician kept me informed while he was in route to my location. The technician was knowledgeable and went right to work after we arrived at the lot. I was amazed as to how much work went into replacing a windshield. He answered the few questions I had, and completed the work. He gave me some parting instructions about the new windshield and was on his way. I couldn't classify this part of the experience as "bad", because overall, everything was good. I just had a small problem with the interior clean up. There were little bits of glass on the dashboard and on the seats. He tried to wipe off what he could from the dashboard with a cloth, and got most of it. However, my seats still had small bits of glass on them, which I had to brush out. Would I recommend American Auto Glass? Of course I would! The ease of setting up an appointment, the all-inclusive and reasonable price, the quick, solid work and the fact they were able to take care of my car at the lot, made it a great experience. There is no way to tell this isn't a factory window now. Excellent install and glass that even includes the warming zones for the wipers and shading around the rear view mirror. My family has had 2 windows replaced, and 1 window repaired by them. American Auto Glass does an amazing job of repairing your window, and you don't even need to go there. They will come right to you, and I haven't found a place yet that has lower prices. Sometimes they're a little hard to get ahold of on the phone, but that's my only complaint. My window chip repair is holding up well, and my parents' window replacements are great after several years. My rear panel window was broken as the result of someone wanting my sweet, sweet cassette player in my Corolla. Not many people replace this particular window, including Safelite. He asked what my lowest quote so far was, and called back within 15 minutes with a quote $35 less than what I told him. He even offered to come to ME to fix it at no additional charge. Living near campus the first thing you notice are the signs that dot the area about thieves breaking into cars. Sadly this happened to me twice, on the same back quarter glass window. I called a few other places including a national auto glass dealer. The national chain told me it would take two weeks for the glass to come in and it would take 2 hours to install. One call to American and they had the glass already in stock and it took them maybe 10 minutes. American Auto is super quick, professional, and cheap. My rear window shattered just last night when my backup camera didn't catch an over hang in a parking structure.
