I've been to countless shops that I've always left with the feeling that I'd been dooped by either the quality of service or the price tag attached to that service. Working at the firehouse across the street from Dixon I decided to give them a shot. I've had no need to shop around for the last 5 years after visiting Paul and his Wife at Dixon automotive. You couldn't ask for better service. The prices can't be beat. They've never even attempted to upsell me for unnececerry services, and just speaking with them you know they've got the chops to get anything you need done with straight explanations and zero fluff. I've owned over 50 cars and trucks and I try to always do my own service. I just don't trust anyone to work on my vehicles. So, I purchased a used Lexus RX330 that needed some repairs. After finding out what the Lexus dealership wanted, I said no thank you. Plus, the older I get the more I want to contribute to my community. I stopped into Dixon's right before they closed on the last stretch of a cross-country road trip. I was rushing from LA to NY for my 8-year-old's birthday when my check engine light went off and my 2008 CR-V went from 12 years of great driving to crawling along the freeway at dangerously slow speeds. Just one of the many things that keeps me coming back to Dixon's Automotive is the way in which they are always very accommodating with regard to scheduling automotive work around our work schedules. Paul did a great job explaining why they use performance grade brake fluid and that they had just purchased the newest vehicle wheel alignment equipment. When I picked up my vehicle, he further explained the special steps that where required to align my KIA. I very much appreciate the time Paul took to explain the information and a couple of other things they noticed by doing an unannounced inspection that I was able to change myself. read more

The shop is usually busy as when I drive by, I always see cars in the lot and service bays. The shop was able to get my vehicle in the service bay the same day I called and examined the car for serviceable repairs within hour and without inspection cost. Rarely does anyone have a really good experience at an auto mechanic shop. Dixon Automotive is the exception. They are friendly and welcoming, offer a comfortable waiting room with GOOD coffee (again, rare) and do excellent work in a timely manner at a fair price. It was a comedy of errors to get the car fixed. First mistake was theirs all after that was out of their control. I will say the communication was awesome and he made it right at the end.
