We arrived at 940 and the doors were locked. The hours on the door showed the business closed at 10pm. Very discouraging since I traveled 20 minutes for sushi, found parking just to have the staff ignore us standing at the front door. Will not be back, came to cloud 9 instead. read more

Best sushi I've had in Cincinnati by far... not the best I've ever had but very good. Spider maki was great, spicy tuna roll was great, yellow tail sushimi was great, fatty tuna was expensive and did not taste fresh, eel sushumi was not a good consistency on the palet. I left 1/2 the fatty tuna and 2 of 4 eel... very full! read more

The location is perfect for dinner before a night out downtown, and the food was great. Prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere is really fun. The outside of the restaurant does not do the inside justice. From just driving by, I thought it was a pick-up-and-go sort of Sushi restaurant (like Maki in Clifton). But inside, it's a super swank, upscale-looking (but not in price) restaurant. I had the ginger salad, which I HAVE to try at every sushi restaurant I go to, and the dressing was like HEAVEN. Loved it. For sushi, we had the firecracker roll, which I highly recommend. Yum. Then I had the chicken fried rice. It was really, really good. I asked for a side of the ginger dressing to drizzle over the rice, and it really put it over the top. I would definitely recommend this spot for a fun dinner downtown, especially because there is no other nice sushi restaurant in the area. It was surprisingly slow, and our server mentioned that they are open until 3 on Fridays and Saturdays. Obviously trying to appeal to the late night crowd, and with a full (and large) bar, it would be a cool place to hang out for a low key weekend night anyway. If only there were more people there. Maybe it will just take some time to catch on. read more

The portions are huge. I love the Spicy Tuna here. The house special hand roll is $2 of sheer bliss. They have happy hour sushi and appetizer discounts, so that's a plus. I've never had any sushi here that made me wonder how fresh it was. I also love their bento box lunches. It can get busy at lunch, so you might want to avoid peak times. read more

Went to Mr. Sushi on Saturday night to start off our Mardi Gras celebration. Wait staff was very friendly. Restaruant was not crowded. Wait time for our order was spot on. Sushi was dee-lish! Highly recommend Mr. Sushi! read more

I tried Mr. Sushi for the first time this afternoon, and I found it excellent late lunch fare. I had the "green river" roll (eel, cucumber, avocado) and miso soup. The soup was good. The roll was excellent. It was clearly fresh, and the eel was very tender, fresh, and not chewy. The service was also fast, and my waitress kept my drink full. The price was relatively reasonable too, as far as Japanese food goes. Will definitely return and I recommend it. read more

Mr Sushi has some of the best sushi in the Fullerton area. They offer good service and a very consistent product.

Mr. Sushi is a quality eatery to embellish yourself in late-night sushi cravings after a night out Downtown. Their late hours of operation can feel better than Christmas as you make the transition from booze-filled beer belly to sushi-filled Buddha belly. read more

I love the sushi here. They have great special rolls and the fish is always fresh. The price is great for downtown. Spicy Tuna and Volcano are my go to rolls. read more

I loved the sushi at Mr. Sushi; it was probably the best I've had since being in Hong Kong. It was fresh, plentiful, and well priced. My sister and I also split a couple appetizers and a stone bowl. The edamame was fine, but we should have just stuck to sushi. Since they didn't really have a specific kind of Asian food, it was only okay. Plus, it's kind of hard to mess up rice and veggies. The atmosphere is simple, yet elegant, and the service could use a little more practice, but overall they weren't too bad. Although, they do have mochi (sp? it's a gelatinous kind of rice cake) filled with ice cream. Mango is the best. I will definitely be going back. read more

Good sushi and service is friendly and quick. If I'm downtown it is worth going here, but I wouldn't drive all the way just to eat here.

Not a lot to say other than great food accompanied by reasonable prices and great service. I enjoy sashimi, so unfortunately I don't have any comments for their cooked stuff, but when it comes to the raw cuisine they hit the nail on the head with great quality and great taste! To make the food even better the service was top notch. A bonus, if you sit at the sushi bar and are friendly with the chef he might make a few surprises for you! So, go, enjoy yourself, don't forget your wallet, and leave happy. read more

Have tried a few places around town and this is so far the best. Highly recommend the fire scallop roll, the Hawaiian and the mango tango.

What an awesome dinner experience! My husband and I rarely have the opportunity to dine out, so we wanted to make sure we chose juuust the right place ; we definitely did! We arrived around 6:30 on a Saturday and it was pretty empty, but that's to be expected for an early dinner on a Saturday. As we sat there tables started filling up. We sat at the bar, but there were numerous tables and booths available as well. I can't remember exactly what we ordered, but it was amazing! I def recommend this place for a delicious sushi outing! read more

I give this place two thumbs wayyyyy up. Sushi was amazing and good price. Service was great friendly and quick. I'm not from around here so I found this location from yelp. Really good. read more

This location was celebrating some kind of grand opening today, and food was served buffet style with ayce sushi for $20. There was little to no seating as they cleared out a lot of seating in favor of a DJ and dance area. The food available at the buffet was abysmal... There was some fried rice and jjapchae, along with bone scraps of galbi and tiny pieces of fried chicken. The only sushi available were some rolls that didn't look appetizing. We walked out without eating halfway through the buffet line. read more

Sushi lover here. Great sushi great service! Open when others aren't which is good! Greta happen hour with solid half price menu. Right on one of the major streets of cinic. read more

Whoa! I just ordered take out and it was 20% off (from 4pm-close, 7 days a week, 20% off take out, 50% off dine in) and it was delicious! I had the Hot Mama and the Hawaiian. We went around 10pm after a Reds game I was in and out in 5-10 minutes. There were quite a few people dining in, too. The wait staff is super speedy and helpful. I'm pretty sure the manager was helping us. Both my rolls cost about $18. They tasted super fresh and so good. Probably the best sushi I've had in a long time. I definitely recommend! read more

Have ordered delivery from Mr. Sushi a couple of times so far while working in Cincy. Food is good, timely with delivery, courteous and friendly, a bit pricier than expected but I guess delivery costs. Good experience. Will order from Mr. Sushi again. Thanks. read more

Nice and friendly service here....at least the bartender was! The waitress seen me going to the bar and she didn't even check on me, but the sushi made up for it. I would definitely recommend Mr. Sushi if you're in or around downtown Cincinnati. read more

Love this place. best sushi in Downtown. Have to get there either for an early or late lunch, that place gets sssuuuuuuuupper busy around noon. read more

Worth the trip every time. Friendly sushi chefs and Asahi to wash it down.

I eat here on a regular basis and the sushi is consistently fresh and service is friendly.

Much like another person wrote, the name of this place is a bit odd. "Let's go to Mr Sushi while we are in Cincinnatti" just seems odd. Anyhow, it was pretty good and reasonably priced. I had the spicy (quite) tuna and spicy Cali rolls and 3 pieces of sushi. That came with salad and soup. I would say everything was as expected but my miso soup was almost luke warm. It was a bit disappointing. Amazing? No. A good place for a meal? Yep. read more

Food was good, half off sushi was a great deal and the manager was super nice! Great place to come get some sushi.

Awesome place i loves my sushi...one of the best I've had since i left new york. Good food great fun

Really good rolls all around the table. Double Red and Southwestern were both hits. The raspberry tea was very refreshing as well.

I am not much of a sushi person, but have been here with friends a few times. I finally decided to write a review. I love that they have a pretty good selection of non-sushi items. The chicken fried rice is really, really good.(no veggies). The service is decent and the price is comparable to other places around town. I have tried some of the sushi my friends have ordered and it was OK, but like I said...not a big sushi fan. read more

I have only been to Mr. Sushi once, but had an excellent experience. Great service and my server was very helpful with the menu. Even though this wasn't the best sushi I've ever had, the restaurant gets extra points for creating a custom roll for me when one I wanted wasn't on the menu. And who can beat a bowl of miso included with every meal? Awesome! read more

Went there last night with friends-of-friends. We had a large group, and I have to say that we were seated and served very quickly, due in part, I'm sure, to the fact that they just weren't that busy, even around 7:30/8 on a Saturday night. Our waitress was quick and efficient all night, but I had a hard time grabbing her for anything besides ordering (to be fair, I am not very loud). I ordered a tempura udon and two pieces of salmon sashimi. The udon was pretty good; it's difficult to mess that part up. The tempura could have been better; each piece was somewhat soggier and greasier than I was used to - I really like how tempura is fried but usually still very light. The vegetables weren't crunchy enough (no panko breadcrumbs?), while the shrimp was overcooked. The salmon sashimi was average; nothing to write home about. The problem that I had that still bothers me a bit now, though, is that one of my pieces had a piece of bone in it. I should have brought this to the attention of my waitress right then, but it didn't seem as big of a deal then. :-/ Either way, that should just not happen with sashimi. Mr. Sushi was... a so-so place to go for dinner on a Saturday night, I suppose. I don't know that I'd go again, especially since there are so many half-price sushi places around and while Mr. Sushi isn't expensive, per se, it's more expensive than say Ichiban or Dancing Wasabi, and there's nothing to really recommend Mr. Sushi over the other places... read more

Mr. Sushi exemplifies a 5 star experience with tasty, well made, giving portions of Sushi along with friendly and speedy service. Delicious items such as the hot stone bowl Bibimbab and the Bento Box bring additional flair to the menu for those who had something other than sushi in mind. This stylish location found on 6th street, melds a feeling of classy with swiftness. Outside of the lunch hours you will not find the menu items to be cheap but you will feel that the value of your money is properly reflected in what will be placed in front of you. Even the self proclaimed stubborn sushi sobs will be forced to give praise to the high quality taste of the salmon and red fire roll. If you're looking for a sushi or Chinese restaurant to fall in love with then you need not look anywhere other than Mr. Sushi. read more

Sushi was really bad, then our server added auto gratuity to our bill and never mentioned it. When I tipped 20% on top of the auto gratuity the server never checked back with me to make sure I saw the gratuity (which I obviously did not). I payed with cash and did not realize I left a 40% tip until we left and my friends mentioned that gratuity was already on it. I myself am a server and I would never EVER grat someone without telling them. Also, like I said, the sushi was really terrible. I did not receive one thing that I ordered and shrimp tempura roll was soggy and unfinished. I often go to this location and bring a LOT of friends. I most likely will not be returning. read more

A for effort but you gotta be really bad to mess up inari and tamago! And the prices are not worth it.

Good Place to go for lunch. Lunch specials priced well and very good selection of Sushi. Quality of Sushi is excellent.

What a great place. Staff was very friendly. The sushi chef came by to chat and explain the fish cuts. Pot stickers were very good. Sushi was great and pricing was very fair. Even got to sample some off menu items while I ate dinner. Very knowledgeable and fantastic taste. read more

Mr Sushi - Tuna app. So good. The other one is not on the menu but worth every cent. Hope you can get a taste of it!!! - Sushi Bars Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

Great place for half price sushi! I typically go during the week and the place is dead. I have been for lunch a couple times and its get packed during lunch hour. They seem to move tables quickly during the lunch hour so I'm sure its a great lunch spot, but you can't beat going in after 4 during the week for half price. Sushi is good! Recently changed the menu to offer more rolls. I have tried most of the menu at this point and haven't been disappointing. The cocktail drink deals are not very good so I don't recommend getting the Mango Fizz or Mia Tai. Stick to the sushi and you will be happy with your decision. read more
