Heard a lot of good things about this places. The fact that a sushi buffet can withstand the test of time convinced us to make the drive. Lots of sushi buffets start off great (Nagomi.. ahem..) but then nosedive in quality. This place was pretty damn good. We came on a Saturday night and made a reservation beforehand. Glad we did because the place was completely full. There's a great variety of sashimi on the ayce menu and everything tasted quite fresh. The special rolls are well made and flavorful. The hot appetizers are tempting, but they were overall pretty disappointing. Skip the hot appetizers, it's not what you're there to eat anyways. Ordered a couple of appetizers: spicy Kani salad, gyozas, and pork ramen. The only appetizer I would get again that I think is worth getting is the spicy kani salad. The ramen tasted like cup of noodles ramen in terms of noodles; broth was a bit more promising. Pork was meh. I was very surprised w how spicy the spicy Mayo was! It was delicious. Sashimi is great here (best is salmon; the tuna and yellow tail were strangely dry). Beware I think the spicy tuna and salmon had a mix with the tempera flakes. I didn't mind but after ordering a couple of the special rolls w the spicy tuna or salmon and some deep fried rolls... it got a bit too much. For dessert we ordered the vanilla, chocolate, and red bean ice cream. I would SKIP the red bean ice cream. Definitely get the chocolate and vanilla though. All in all, a good place. As a sushi lover, I am usually skeptical about all you can eat sushi, but Mr.Sushi executes so well. My first round included a shrimp tempura hand roll, 9 pcs of sashimi, and 4 more rolls. The 4 of us also ordered the cream cheese rangoons, gyoza, edamame, seaweed salad, spicy kani salad, and miso. The first round did not disappoint. The rice was seasoned a bit on the light side but because of this, it made us want more and more. After 3 rounds of sushi, we went on to the seafood udon and the pork ramen, both of which we great for the value. Not a typical udon or a typical ramen, but for the price points of their ayce it's hard to believe it's true. Being from Philly and visiting Cherry Hill, this place is better than Aki Nom Nom by a long long mile. The second round of sashimi was of very poor quality with an odd crust on the tuna, but we told the restaurant and they said it was just the plastic wrap that may have made the crust. Ummm.. well for me, I just won't eat it if it doesnt look good... but the value was still there for Mr. Sushi so only docked one star. Stick with only one round of sashimi maybe lol and then they will give you the best of the crop. My friends loved the appetizers like the rangoon and the tempura. This place is a win in my book! Came around 11:30 and was surprised as it was mostly empty. I had heard about this place from multiple people and decided to take an Uber field trip to jersey. Food wise, I was pretty impressed with the variety and the quality. We got a variety of soups, appetizer, and sushi. The miso soup was really good as well as the seaweed salad. The gyoza were alright and the shrimp tempura could use for seasoning but everything was freshly cooked. For sushi, we got the a lot of sashimi (salmon, tuna, Saba, tobiko, and tamago), nigiri (especially eel), maki rolls (shrimp tempura, eel avocado), and a couple of specialty rolls. All start off my review by saying that this is probably the worst sushi I've ever had. You are better off going across the street to the Wegmans supermarket and picking up a few rolls from the store. Long story short we couldn't even get through what we ordered. We ordered a Godzilla Roll and a few others with off names which was a red flag. When we got the rolls, the fish tasted like it had been sitting around for weeks. Granted I've been to Japan and had some of the best sushi on this beautiful green planet. But this place has earned a spot on the absolute worst. If my description didn't convince you, take a look at the photos and the strange blend of raw fish as a filler in the rolls. These are not spicy Tuna or Spicy Salmon rolls which would be acceptable given the nature of the rolls. However these last few months I have had some rotten fish that tasted horrible. I know food goes up in price and their prices have increased. I went my first time with my bf to this restaurant and it is pretty cozy, but definitely the tables are a bit sticky and the seats are a bit worn and wobbly. I ordered some sashimi, sushi and the kitchen stuff. The sashimi and sushi was alright quality definitely not the best stuff but understandable quality for the AYCE. I would recommend their saba, squid, eel, red clam, and salmon skin those are pretty above average compared to the rest of the quality of their other fishes. I liked their hot and sour soup, teriyaki squid and coconut tapioca. I would not recommend the sashimi burrito, fish balls, or any yakitori. Their service was a bit much, lots of checking up but a bit much and with the many check ups, I've told 3 waitresses that seemed a bit rushy towards me that I was still waiting for my sushi and I didn't get it until the last notice to the last waitress. Tried the beef yakitori (beef skewers) they were ok since it was not big chunky pieces of steak, the pork bun was tasty but there the pork was too slim, the calamari was good and crispy and the gyoza were very good you really could taste the spices and and it was properly cooked. Overall for appetizers I will give them 3 stars.. The sushi is where they really shine. The portions are HUGE!!! The rolls are massive and super tasty so be very careful ordering if you are hungry because they will charge you for any leftovers. We went on a Sunday evening and the lobby was packed, luckily after 15 minutes we were seated and the food was coming out in no time. The "kitchen" appetizer menu has a wide range of options and the food items came out within minutes after giving our server the order slip. Also, the sashimi and sushi we ordered were all SO delicious. There was not a single thing we did not enjoy from the wide range of options. Mind you -- my standards for sashimi and sushi are not THAT high, as long as it is still fresh and tastes good.
