The Sushi boys LOVE the salmon/avocado rolls here!
Tanya D.

We love it here! The fish is always the right temperature and the rolls are made tight, not thick like some places. Friendly staff, quick service.

Cool little to-go sushi fix for lunch or dinner. Dropped in and ordered their shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna roll w/ crunch on top and sweet potato roll w/ crunch on top. All the rolls were pretty good excluding the spicy tuna (wasn't the biggest fan of this roll). If you want decent sushi on-the-go, this spot is decent!

The quality of their sushi was good, especially for the price. I would have liked a little more flavor on the spicy rolls, but I'd still order from here again. Plus, they're very close to Wegmans so it's easy to order ahead and pick it up on your way home.

This place is such a good local spot if you live in the area, and is also worth your travels! I always get there spicy Kani roll which is crab, spicy mayo, and crunchy bits! It's a super fun roll and if your someone with a low spice tolerance like myself I definitely recommend. I also got the fried pork gyozas which are another favorite of mine and I find this place does them really well! For the first time today I also tried their chicken hibachi, and it was great. Well seasoned, filled with flavor, and the fried rice is so good. Super delicious and the staff is always kind. Although I normally place a pickup order, The place itself inside is small, but definitely a great vibe and enough room to eat in. Welcoming, has nice decor and is clean.

The name says it all! The sushi is decent but great option for a quick lunch or satisfy your urgent craving of sushi. If you prefer a more authentic or fresher taste sushi, this might not be the place for you. This place located next to Kungfu tea so its a plus.

I was surprised at how good our sushi was and how reasonably priced too. We will definitely order from here again.

(If you've never had it, it's a sweet squash and it's delicious and you should definitely try it!) We started with the salmon skin salad which was so unique! It has all our favorites! Salmon skin (obviously) kani, seaweed salad, and caviar. We got the sauce on the side because we were worried it would be too spicy, but it was delicious! It was still good that it was on the side so I could control how much I used. Next we shared the kampyo (or is it kanpyo? I can never remember) roll and a mackerel and tamago roll (not on the menu but they made a great one and you should try that too!) Finally we shared tofu teriyaki. They served SIX huge pieces of tofu (probably an entire brick of tofu) The sauce was delicious and it came with onions and veggies. If I had to nitpick, the veggies could be cut a little smaller but no complaints over all. We are taking most of the tofu home. The service was great. Our server was polite and professional. I didn't even have to ask for fresh plates between the sushi and the tofu. As for atmosphere, it's a little dark but they play great music (lots of '80's!). The music is soft and not obtrusive. We will definitely be back!

If you're looking for really good sushi and Japanese food, I recommend this place. I saw Japanese…read morecustomers dining there. It's a good sign that that they serve legit food. Enoki and egg soup is my favorite appetizer. Light broth with umami and perfect saltiness. My second favorite appetizer is agedashi tofu. So silky like pudding with light teriyaki broth. Beef roll up with scallions: beef is tender with some kind of sweet teriyaki sauce. It's pretty good. Eggplant filled with ground chicken. It looks appealing but unfortunately a bit too greasy. The sushi here is very special. The sushi rice is silky and moist. The fish piece is bigger than the rice. The eel is a must try here. It's very big compared to the rice underneath it. It very flavorful too. Mt entree is steamed salmon with seafood broth. I recommend squirting the lemon to the broth to make it taste like yuzu sauce as it lightens the whole dish and makes it less fishy.

PRO: I will say, if you want a place where you can sit and have a conversation, dark mood lighting (especially forgiving if the last time you saw each other alot was 20 years ago! - LOL), Sagami is an excellent choice. PRO: They don't rush you out - take your time. It was a Thursday night, so not especially busy when we came at 6:30 PM. CON: I could not find an updated menu online - I'm one of those people who like to peruse a menu in advance. I started with a vegetable tempura appetizer ($10) - excellent, light, airy, tasty. My main was the dragon roll - very tasty. Service was quite nice. Appetizers came out almost immediately, the rolls took a lot longer to get to our table. This is the kind of place where you're not paying to fill up your belly - but if you do, expect to shell out some bucks.

My husband and I made a pitstop at the Cherry Hill Mall to use the restroom and on the way in we saw Kooma, with "martini bar" in the title. We were automatically intrigued. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a very pleasant staff. Since we did not want a full meal, we opted for a seat at the bar. My husband wanted to try a drink with peanut simple syrup, but unfortunately, the beverage was discontinued. Instead, he went with an Asian style old-fashioned. It was smoked using wood chips and was presented impeccably. Loved watching our bartender burn the chips on top of the drink to create the smoke in the glass. I selected a spicy, pineapple, passionfruit martini, which looked equally as beautiful as it was appetizing. For our snack, we selected the ceviche. Perhaps we didn't read the menu too closely, because this was a sweet ceviche with mango, instead of your traditional citrusy version we are used to. It was still very tasty, but the original style is my preference. Price wise, this place is a bit more on the expensive side, but you definitely feel the luxurious ambience in the atmosphere. Can't praise the bartenders/waiters enough enough. They were so attentive and sincerely friendly, which can be hard to find.

Unfortunately my complete meal was not as complementary. My plates certainly looked great but the rice in both my entrees was not properly prepared and seasoned. The seaweed used for my roll was not crisp meaning it was either not toasted or stored properly before service to account for the humidity. The bed of rice in my Chirashi was lightly seasoned with furikake seaweed but that hardly made a difference. It was still under seasoned. The sliced fish in my chirashi was fresh, but there wasn't any difference in taste from piece to piece. No amount of soy sauce or wasabi was going to enhance my chirashi. My experience certainly did not lay claim to a "best ever" designation and I've had my share of great sushi.

As with many restaurants, they seem to be prioritizing take out over customers with reservations. We had to wade through a scrum of delivery orders and pickup, after which we could finally advance to the hostess. After a short wait, the two of us were seated. Service was polite, if a little slow. While we were promptly given menus, we had to flag down the waitress to give our orders. We ordered a number of appetizers to share which were very good and served within a reasonable time. Unfortunately, we did not have any plates and it took 5 minutes to again flag down a waitress to get some. We were then presented with 2 plates that looked like they came from a NJ diner, heavy, cheap, generic ceramic. Our nigiri arrived and saved the day. The restaurant has a wider selection than many places in the area including "reasonably priced" o-toro. The fish was fresh, firm and very good. One thing that was lacking was any artistic presentation of the fish. It was nigiri, wasabi, and ginger. Overall, I enjoyed the food, but the overall restaurant experience was lacking. I will be back however.
