Me. Pho is definitely my go to when I want Vietnamese food. Their pho broth is flavorful, the meat is tender, and the vegetables are always fresh. Their vermicelli bowl (I always get the BBQ pork with egg rolls and pork meatloaf) and it is just divine. The shrimp spring rolls are good and I love the Vietnamese coffee! Aaaand, they have very good service. Every employee that I have ever dealt with has been hella friendly and really accommodating with any request I've had. I always order a kid's pho for my son and they already know to bring scissors without me having to ask. They're quick with refilling water without having to ask as well. My family & I have gone to Mr. Phở since I was still in High School (10+ years now), and the owners and people who work there are very sweet. The service is great, and you can tell everyone works very hard to serve the customers. Their service is quick but thorough. I make homemade phở frequently, but on sporadic days where I'm feeling like eating Vietnamese food & don't have time to cook it, Mr. Phở is my go-to for our family. This is probably the ONLY local phở restaurant that keeps their authentic Vietnamese taste throughout the years, and not skimp out on the flavoring like most of the other Vietnamese restaurants around here. Mr. Pho has been in business in the same location for over 20 years. IT IS the only pho place in Oceanside where they do real authentic Vietnamese dishes like Bun Bo Hue! It has blood cubes and comes with the right veggies and shrimp paste. This is the only thing I eat there. No other pho places comes close to this dish. The portion is large and the price is less than $10 unlike other pho places in Oceanside with higher prices and lesser quality. Give them a try next time you are around. read more

Seems like they are confident that you won't check your order because they always have a line near the register which is probably intentional for you to hate being in the way of traffics to make you pay without checking. We came here after helping my son move into his new apartment a couple of blocks away. This smallish restaurant was in a strip mall along with a couple of other places. I am not a fan of pho, but my wife and son like it, so I was happy to tag along. Let me tell you, I was surprised by how much I liked the rice vermicelli! I ordered the grilled chicken rice vermicelli, and it was a big bowl of the rice noodle, vegetables and chicken served with a sweet chili sauce to pour over it. OMG! I could not stop stuffing this in my face! Wife ordered the beef pho and liked it. Also had fried spring rolls and shrimp spring rolls (not fried, wrapped in rice paper). Also very good. This place used to be my go-to for a comforting bowl of pho. I am sad to say that after today I will no longer be back. The last three times I have been here have been very sad for me, so sad that it makes me want to put up a review like this. The service has been awful. The only reason I'm even giving 3 stars is because the pho had always been good, and I have to give credit for that. The last two times I have came the food was good but I would have to get up and go to the front and ask for a refill of water after 20 minutes of an empty glass, trying to get server's attention to no avail. Today was the day that was the tipping point for me. I always ask for no cilantro, I just cannot eat it because it tastes like soap, I know that it is annoying and I am always apologetic about it and I always say I am sorry. Angel the server even repeated it back to me, number 18 with no cilantro, and said no worries. The elder gentleman (don't know the name) then came out three minutes later with a bowl of pho with a huge heap of cilantro on top. Normally I try to get it out myself as I understand mistakes happen and I never ask for anything more because I hate bringing conflict to people who are trying to make an honest living, but there was a lot of cilantro and I knew it would not all get out easily, so I asked the gentlemen to please help me out and get rid of the cilantro and that I was sorry. I heard them laughing in the backand cursing at the fact I sent it back for cilantro, which made me really upset and on the verge of tears. The gentleman then came back 5 minutes later with the same bowl of pho still with a lot of cilantro in it. I was really upset at this point but decided not to fight it and try to pick out the rest myself. My bowl of pho had gotten cold and I couldn't get out the rest of the cilantro because it was fine pieces leftover and I took a few bites and every bite tasted like soap. I asked the server Ronaldo if I could please have a fresh bowl because I had asked for no cilantro twice, to which he said of course, don't worry about it, he will cover it. I was so happy to hear that.... until the next bowl of pho had heaping amounts of cilantro. I cried and asked if I could just leave. Ronaldo told me I would have to pay $16. I asked him if I really had to pay that because I didn't eat anything besides two bites of cilantro soup. He then charged me $8.64. I paid it because I just wanted to leave because I was crying a lot, but I don't really think I should have paid it. I won't be back, and I'm really sad about that because I did love the pho so much here, but the service really ruined it for me. read more

Mr. Pho is the first Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to and the first Vietnamese food I've ever tried and it is absolutely delicious!! Sometimes they do take a while to take our order once we're sat down (def something they can work on), but the food is so worth it lol. The egg rolls are our favorite. Decent pho for the area with great prices! I got a huge portion of a small pho for only $7. The meat was tender and noodles were cooked perfectly. They didn't have ngo gai but expected for the area I guess. Being Vietnamese, I am pretty particular with my pho and I thought the broth was okay. It wasn't bad but not super flavorful either. The price, service and cleanliness of the restaurant made it worth it! The restaurant was clean, spacious and felt homey. Will be back to try the banh mi for sure. read more

We've been here maybe 3 minutes and I already love this man I'm assuming is the owner? He is super friendly and kind. Even offered us to try some spring rolls and if we didn't like them he would take it back(which I feel is mostly unheard of). THE FOOD WAS AWESOME. Definitely would recommend the pho. Does NOT cater to vegetarians! The menu doesn't list ingredients in egg rolls and they were full of meat. Their sweet and sour sauce had fish in it. When we asked for veggie egg rolls, they were pure grease and breading with no veggies. They also didn't include the garnishes listed in the menu. The "veggie broth" they use for the pho is just clear water with no taste. They never brought us any napkins or utensils, so we had to go find them ourselves. They don't use ice and just provide tap water. No bueno. read more

Came to try out the spring rolls and crunchy rolls. They didn't provide all the vegetables like all other places they only gave us the lettuce and mint... No sprouts or carrot slices I ordered a Thai milk tea drink with boba and it was strong not much whip cream but what sucked was the boba it keep on getting stuck in the straw because they were not soft and chewy.
