Yeah! Finally a noodle joint in salinas! I came here one day for lunch with a few of my friends. We got a table right away only because we beat the lunch crowd. I ordered the chicken udon soup and my friends ordered the noodle and rice plates. Everything was very tasty and good priced. They actually messed up on my friends order and had no issues taking it back remaking what she really ordered and taking it off our bill. All and all it's a great place.. They need to work out some kinks and on customer service.. But that will come with time! read more

Two stars because the Honey Dew Bobba is good & service was quiet fast. I ordered Vegetarian Chow Fun and it is flavorless. Seems like they only throw the noodles and add lots of oil and garnished with veggies. I add a bit of soy sauce and still is not a good flavor. Thick pieces of raw onions, huge pieces of uncooked cabbage, three thin slices of carrots and 4 sweet peas. Lots of oil and FLAVOLESS BLAND FOOD Actually DID NOT like it at all, was the customer service. The Asian man is extremely rude amd he zero customer service skills. After i got my order, i ask for chopsticks and he said "I gave you a fork" i said i want chopsticks and in his language he said something and gave me them to me. Just because I am not Asian doesn't mean I do not know how to eat with chopsticks! Plus I am paying for a service, it wasn't for free. $13.×× for horrible food and a slushy! Only 1 package of soy sauce and siracha even though i request for couple more he just did not want it to give it oh and he said no napkings wtf!!! Food is good, but a little pricey. My favorite is he Vietnamese Salad, Mandarin chicken, and Combination Pho. Servers are nice but the guy at the register(who I think is the owner) is rude. He also charge for every little thing. He charged me $3 just for an extra broth. read more

I have been to this place many times for their delicious coffee slush bobas and their delicious food. Sad that today I had such a sad and embarrassing experience when the grumpy old man sitting at the front register (i think he's the owner) made my boba order wrong. I went to ask him nicely if I could get my boba either remade or taken off my tab. He was quick to say it was the right order and that he would not take it off the tab because I had drank out of it already....when I had just had 1 sip when I immediately tasted it to be something other than my order. Also, I did not understand why he could not remake it...when he was just sitting on his phone and had no line of customers whatsoever. He was rude, rolled his eyes at me, and was quick to tell me why I was wrong even though I was the customer. He yelled across the room to ask my server what I had ordered and she indeed told him I had ordered a coffee boba. When he realized he had indeed messed up my order, he proceeded to remove the boba from my check with no apology. No sense of customer service whatsoever. I am not a person who likes conflict nor am I a person to complain, but this really made me upset and I don't think any person should be treated with disrespect...especially when I was being polite and simply wanted their delectable coffee slush boba. read more

My family and I love pho! So when we saw that a Vietnamese spot opened up in South Salinas we couldn't help getting excited. Any great pho or noodle shop survives because of awesome broth. Without awesome broth you've got nothing. (imo) First impressions are key, or so they say. Well my first impression isn't very good. As soon as we walked in the door we were "greeted" by frowning person. All she could muster was "Can I help you?". Really? That's the best you can come up with? Did I walk into a dry cleaners? No smile. No warmth. No welcome. (Strike 1) We grabbed paper menus and sat ourselves. (strike 2) Our serve came to get our drink orders. They were out of nearly everything. We settled on lemonade. Big mistake. It was warm, didn't taste remotely close to lemons, and it was watered down. Our paper menus were replaced with nicely bound menus. Everything looked like all the normal items you'd find at a noodle joint. Pho, spring rolls, vermicelli bowls, etc. I ordered spring rolls and a small pho with eye of round steak.That was a mistake! The spring rolls were kind of dry and the shrimp was over cooked. (strike 3) The pho came and there was a small clump of noodles and chunks of rubbery beef floating in a bowl of oily broth. (strike 4) We had to ask for the accompaniments (bean sprouts, lemon, basil, etc.). (Strike 5) Needless to say we weren't impressed and we didn't even want to finish our meals. When we asked for the check, the "server" looked confused. She asked if we wanted a to-go box and we said no. (Strike 6) The look on her face was priceless! She looked as though we slapped her in the face. Customer service is poor, the guy on the front desk (short, mid 40s) is so rude. Had been there a few times and noticed he treats people like if he is making them a favor. Today it was my turn, he got mad because he took my order wrong. He understood something else. Ain't my fault he doesn't quite understand English. Wanted a vietnamese ice coffee fix, coming from san jose, i didnt expect much from this place. However it somehow went lower than my low expectation. They used powder mix to make the drink and load it with some sort of surgar. Seem like i am drinking surgar drink with a hint of coffee. What makes matter worse is the owner try to charge me double or triple tax. I confronted him and he said there is tax buddy with a condecending tone. I explained to him that tax is not 20 PERCENT. He then changed his statement and said they have raise price which BTW is kind of expensive. he corrected the charge. I definitely will not come back for the drinks or try their food. I came to Salinas to visit my grandparents and they said that we should come to this great Vietnamese restaurant. When we got there it was pretty empty and it was clean! They have AMAZING pork/beef rice it was the best rice I ever had! And the eggrolls were amazing as well. so this is defiantly a great Vietnamese restaurant to come to! read more

Off the bat very clean, seated immediately. Service was quick, waiter asked if we were ready to order shortly after being seated. My party consisted of 2 adults and 3 children. The waiter provided 2 glasses of water and 3 side dishes for our spring rolls. So children were not addressed. Spring rolls were ordered, a full order which was 2 full rolls cut in half, IMO not worth 5.75. Peanut sauce and spring rolls will not be ordered again. Much better at the competition for value, portion, and flavor. Peanut sauce at the competitor is far better. I personally ordered the lemongrass chicken rice plate good portion, flavorful, and ESP clean. We ordered chicken chow fun for the children which was I'd say average. For chicken chow fun go to Eagle on Alisal best in town. The waiter actually returned the chow fun because they sprinkled sesame seeds which our kids are allergic to. Finally the vermicilli bowl with grilled pork was a hit. It was clean, refreshing, savory all in one. So overall very clean spot. Being exposed to Vietnamese restaurants in la, sf, and sj we are experienced. I'd say for the service despite the initial hiccup and the food for salinas would be a 4 better than average. But compared to others we've been id been 3-3.5. Glad more restaurants are opening in salinas! read more

The place feels clean and organized. Great start. I'm still learning about Pho, as this was my second time eating-- the first time for my adult son. We got the Mr. Noodles special, which had thin flank steak, eye of round, meatball and (to my surprise/horror) tripe. More on that later. I love the plate of fresh Thai basil (has more of an anise note to it), fresh bean sprouts and cilantro, and peppers (I think they were jalapeno...not sure). We got the small size which was a generous portion. Delicious! I wasn't sure what the white stuff was, in the soup, but the minute I took a bite I had to an undignified pa-tooey! Being half Mexican, I can't handle tripe-- which my family thinks is weird. Never have, never will, and that's why I don't like menudo. It's not their fault. It's just a texture thing for me. So, next time, I'll order the eye of round Pho, which was my favorite, though the meatball is bomb! My son ordered the Vietnamese milk coffee, which he loved. We split the ice cream and fried banana dessert--- nice treat. Total tab, with tip, $23.00. Owner is super friendly, great service. Good cheap authentic eats in a very well lit and super clean location. My only real complaint--there is zero customer service. Mr Noodle isn't much of a server, and you will have to hunt down your drinks, silverware and refills yourself. The place fills up fast for dinner (5-6pm) so expect a wait. read more

I decided to try this place out after reading some reviews. My boyfriend and I love pho n we decided to come here for dinner. We got the fried rice combo I think that's what is called it had shrimp, beef, chicken and pork with carrots and peas. Then my boyfriend got mr.noodles special pho and I got the chicken pho. They were quick to bring the food out and their noodles have to be the best fresh tasting noodles I've had. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the rice and the pho.
