It felt like this place was "coming soon" forever, but they are open! I was working in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. The location is small but there are a few tables to sit at. I was greeted by the 2 friendliest staff, and a large glass case full of delicious pizzas. They have a soda fountain and a small selection of bottled and canned drinks, plus a few beers on tap. If I can make one suggestion, they should serve rootbeer! There's no better combination in my opinion than pizza and root beer. Get the good stuff in a bottle or something please! I ordered a slice of the Extra Virgin, which is essentially a margherita. A classic, and always a good choice. After waiting just a few minutes for my slice to be heated up, one of the employees brought my pizza to my table. That was nice! This was a delicious pizza slice; first of all, it was very generously sized, and the crust is crispy. The sauce was flavorful and there was JUST enough cheese to balance everything. For about $5 for a slice, it's not too bad at all. Today my only regret was wearing a white shirt because, wouldn't you know it? I managed to drop one tomato chunk on myself. So next time I will not wear white! Anyway, 5/5 for service and 5/5 for tasty pizza. 4/5 total for not having root beer. If they put it on the soda fountain, I'll have to get rhe 2 slices & a drink special next time! read more

Delicious pizza place that has great food and excellent service. Having grown up on the east coast, I am a bit of a pizza snob. My family and I tried Mr. Moto Pizza recently and it definitely ranks amongst the very best in OC. It is an easy recommendation for me. I've been looking forward to coming to Mr Moto's and today was the day! Came in with my foodie pal right at opening. The restaurant is clean and nicely arranged with mostly table seating. The pizzas are all pre-made and displayed in a case at the counter. There are so many delicious-looking options!! They also offer a few pasta dishes and regular or stuffed garlic knots. Orders are placed at the counter and once your order has been heated, you retrieve it from the counter. The pizza is served on pizza pans and the slices are quite generous (think Costco sized slices). Oregano and Parmesan cheese shakers are out in the tables so you can doctor up your pizza if you like. All of their pizzas are thin crust, yet they hold up to the toppings without getting soggy. Perfectly toasted and crispy, I love how it doesn't feel too heavy after you've eaten. Today I chose the California Dream and Rocky Mountain. Both were great! The caramelized onions on the California Dream gave the this one a very nice hint of savory yet sweet flavor. The Rocky Mountain slice had dollops of ricotta and was drizzled with hot honey. The ricotta is what initially stood out to me, but when I finished it, I had a pleasant little bit of residual spiciness in my mouth that was a pleasant finish. Unfortunately I didn't get a stuffed garlic knot (which I regret) because my pal raved over hers and it was her favorite part of her meal. Oh, well, just a good reason to come back! Two cons for me 1) cashless transactions only 2) paper straws (why???) There are still some folks like myself that prefer paying in cash, so perhaps this is something they'll consider changing. As for the straws, I'll have to remember to bring my own next time ;) read more

This was my first time trying Mr. Moto Pizza and it did not disappoint. It was definitely worth the drive. I tried the Piece of Art and Pepperoni slice and it was so delicious. The ingredients they use are fresh and not frozen. My slices came out hot and crispy. I will definitely be making the drive to eat here again. Mr. Moto Pizza in Orange is a great spot if you're looking for a quick, affordable slice. I tried the Hulk and Extra Virgin pizzas, along with the Stuffed Knots and Garlic Knots, and everything was delicious. Can be a little bit of a winding road to get parked in front of this location but it is well worth it once you get there. There is plenty of parking available though. The oldies playing makes you feel as though you're in an old time diner. They offer great slice deals that include either a soda or a beer. There's a variety of pizzas, pastas, salads, and garlic knots to choose from. Service at the counter was very friendly and the food came out very quickly. Pizza is my all-time favorite food and I love that I can get it by the slice here so that I can have a variation. Each slice came out hot and delicious. They had a generous promotion for two free slices and a drink, today!! We dropped around 2pm and the line wasn't too bad. They have several vegetarian options. We got the Extra Virgin (fresh mozzarella, basil, pesto oil drizzle, shaved parmesan) and the Mama Moto (Burrata, truffle oil, parsley, cherry tomatoes). They were so good! One of the best New York styles pizzas I've had in OC. You can taste the quality in their ingredients, the sauce, and perfectly baked pizza dough. (My godson got the pepperoni and he loved it!) A large ranges from$25-$29. Pizza by the slice: $5 The staff and manager were friendly and efficient. It was non-stop busy but they were able to get the line moving, the pizza continuously flowing in and out of the oven even throughout the madness. Thanks to the Orange Mr. Moto team! A good pizza place with a nice selection of specialty and custom pizzas. You can order a large or medium or have a slice. The caesar salad was very good. The garlic knots were excellent. I enjoyed the pizzas for what they were, but would likely order different choices than the Extra Virgin and Smoky Greens. On the Extra Virgin neither the pesto nor the parmesan flavor was evident while the Smoky Greens did not have a smoky taste and only minimal spinach. Service was friendly and the small dine in space was pleasant. read more

I came here for their promo of 2 free slices and a drink for the day! I love the crust of their pizza and how thin and crispy it is. They also have a big variety so there are plenty of options. The slices were pretty big size which was much appreciated. I really liked the Piece of Art, Rocky Mountain and Extra Virgin. I would come back to try more! read more

One of my favorite pizza spots I had in OC. They have 2 slice offer with a free drink for $5 which is a good deal. My top two favorites are Mamma Moto and Piece of Art. Solid thin sliced pizzas! It is on the pricier side but the slice deals aren't the worst. I like the Wave a lot. It's like the Supreme Pizza from Costco but thin sliced. Pretty good pizza and glad there's good pizza besides the fast food chains nearby now! Store was on the smaller side but most people just got their pizza togo. Service was great. Everyone was very friendly. If you get a large pizza it does take awhile to come out though. read more

Run to Mr. Motos this month! They are running a Promotion - 2 slices + 1 drink for $5! Great deal, it's about 2:40pm, I'm not sure if this is like the happy hour time, but definitely worth it! I got the 'Piece of Art' slice and the 'Furious Diablo'. I love that after they heat it, they put the sauces on top and fresh parm cheese. Thin crust big slices, and flavorful. Furious Diablo definitely has that buffalo sauce heat. And the Piece of Art was probably my favorite, the honey on the pepperonis was bomb! Second time coming to Mr Moto Pizza. The first time I had two slices of The Hulk and this time I just opted for Pepperoni. Both slices had high quality ingredients and were delicious. I enjoy a more NY style pizza and this hits the nail on the head. The stuffed garlic knots were very filling although I did prefer the Pepperoni one. Finally finally finally, we get a ny style pizza near my house. I'm absolutely in love with this pizza. The kids love it and I'm so stoked it's here. I was on a work trip and heard about this new pizza place through a social media foodie influencer. When I went into the restaurant I was greeted by staff. Staff were friendly and very helpful. On that day they had a special 2 slices for 5 dollars. I ordered the furious Diablo which consists of chicken pizza with buffalo sauce and the Mr moto which is Italian sausage, burrata cheese, Spanish chorizo and cheese. The two slices were delicious and the taste profile was phenomenal. I also ordered a stuffed garlic not. The garlic not was filled with spinach and cheese. The garlic not was phenomenal and the spinach and cheese was the perfect combination with the garlic not. The ambiance is customer friendly. This is a great place to go if you like pizza. I came across Pizza Guys, because my child's school was running a fundraiser here, so I didn't have high expectations, I mean, it's a fundraiser after all... Wow was I in for a surprise! There are 3 reasons why I would give a restaurant my business, all 3 reasons being equally important. One, it has to be yummy. The pizza here was surprisingly yummy and they didn't skimp on the toppings! Two, the price has to be right. The prices were reasonable and when they run a sale, I am getting excellent value for my money. Three, it should have decent service at a minimum. This is where it blew me away! The service here was not only excellent, it was the kind that retains customers and loyalty. In fact, I will buy from this location regardless of whether there was an active sale at the time and even if the location is out of my way. The people at the Katella location are usually friendly and nice. However, the dynamic duo that has earned my loyalty to this location are Bruno and Josh. Long story short, my kids like their pizza square cut, but at some point, the app ordering system was changed so that I can no longer choose that option and it's too much hassle to call in every time, so I went several orders/months with the typical cut/slice. When I went in last night for my app placed pizza, I was happy to see that Bruno and Josh were behind the counter, since I hadn't seen them in a long time (I've been visiting on their off days), but what surprised me was that Bruno actually remembered that I prefer my pizza square cut and Josh had the pizza/toppings just the way my kids like it. The guys did that for me, without my asking! Wow!!! I can't believe that Bruno actually remembered my preference after all this time!!! As busy and lazy as I am, I feel compelled to write this review, because what they did was above and beyond expectations. Bruno and Josh are young men, I have no doubt that if/when they outgrow this location, just the attitude and attention to detail alone, both essential entrepreneur mindsets, will get them far in life. I wouldn't be surprised if they have their own franchised Pizza Guys locations later and I'd be one of the first customers to visit and say, I told you so! ;)

when my friends and i decided on a craving for some italian, we had planned a little dinner date…read morehere tonight. we hadn't known at all what to expect, but it was the perfect girl's night simple dinner. when you enter, you go up to the counter to place your order at the register. then they give you a metal number to place on your table for the waiter to bring your dishes to you. none of us waited more than 10 minutes for our food to be ready, and they made sure to bring our appetizers first as well. the calamari was so nicely cooked (the server told us they bread it themselves in house) and the mozzarella sticks had some incredible cheese pulls. you could tell the bread was going to be delicious as well just based on the color and seasoning, and they did not disappoint. i had ordered the clam sauce with linguine, creamy style; this meant they added some alfredo sauce to the sauce to make it a little thicker in consistency. when i got my dish, the sauce was still fairly thin but i think the alfredo helped a lot for what i was wanting in flavor. the clams were exquisite and, if i hadn't stuffed myself so much on the carb appetizers, i would have polished it off right there. my friends said their dishes were also incredible. the only thing was the pizza; my friend didn't seem to detect any tomato sauce on her dough, only olive oil. she ended up using our dipping sauces to add, but she said it was still delicious. despite being so incredibly full, we still made room for dessert because how could we leave without trying the gelato? the strawberry cheesecake was exactly the perfect sweetness for me to balance out what i had just eaten, though the other flavors were just as good too. overall, it was an incredible dining experience. the staff was all very friendly, happy to provide recommendations or explain what deals came with adding on anything to your order. they were very attentive in checking in with us. the ambiance of the place is also so pretty and so quaint. i definitely intend to come back for another meal!

Olivia responded with genuine warmth and kindness, assuring us that the kitchen was still open and that they would be happy to welcome us. From the moment we arrived, Olivia's hospitality set the tone for an exceptional evening. She greeted us with a warm smile, made us feel genuinely welcome, and promptly seated us. Shortly after, our server, Layla, introduced herself. Despite the late hour, she was energetic, engaging, and had an infectious enthusiasm that elevated the entire dining experience. She expertly recommended several cocktails, along with a glass of wine, and her knowledge of both the bar program and the menu was impressive. Her recommendations for appetizers and entrées were spot on. We decided on the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket, BBQ Nachos, and the Spicy Rigatoni. Every dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. Another team member, Emanuel, delivered one of our dishes and was equally personable and engaging. He took the time to share information about the restaurant, further demonstrating the outstanding level of hospitality displayed by the entire team. Manager Dave also stopped by our table to check on our experience. We shared with him that this was, without question, one of the best dining experiences we've had in Orange County in quite some time. Great food certainly matters, but it was the exceptional service, genuine hospitality, and positive energy of the staff that made the evening truly memorable. I was cruising down the street looking for something new and this pizza spot caught my eye. I hadn't had pizza in a while so I figured why not. Walked in and the vibe was cool. Super clean, laid-back feel with classic rock playing and a good setup inside. The guy and girl behind the counter were both really friendly and on it. One thing I liked right away is that you don't have to order a full pizza. You can grab a couple slices and be in and out. They've got a bunch of options to pick from, not just your usual pepperoni. I went with the "California Love" and the "Mr. MOTO." The California Love slice had bacon, chicken, ranch, and caramelized onions. The ranch was drizzled over the top, not baked in, so it stayed creamy. Bacon was crispy, onions had that sweetness, and the chicken was actually tender. It wasn't dry like a lot of spots that throw it on last minute. The Mr. MOTO slice had Italian sausage, Spanish chorizo, marinara, and burrata. This one had more of a bold, meaty flavor. The chorizo stood out, and the burrata in the middle added a soft, rich texture. Marinara had a little tang, not too heavy. Crust was the best part. It was strong enough to hold everything without folding or falling apart. Big slices, but easy to eat because of how the crust held up. That alone makes me want to come back. Sometimes I'm only in the mood for a slice or two, so I appreciate not having to order a whole pie. Every slice is just $5, which is a great deal considering the size. After you choose your slice, they pop it back in the oven so it comes out hot, crispy, and tasting freshly made. The crust had a nice crunch, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the slices were decent size. It's simple pizza done well.
