Went there for pork/crab XLB, which they were out of. Ordered the scallop instead, was ok/bland. I…read moreappreciate that the skin is the right thickness to withhold the soup; they steam it well, but I really just prefer the pork/crab. I had a maddening experience there today, but hoping it's a one-time thing. FYI they do charge you an unannounced automatic service fee, so should you order anything to go, you have to separate the payments and redo, which is ridiculous. Also they don't include rice, so then you have to buy that, then they get mad about the minimum. Please get this part together. I also get that this may be someone just asking by the "rules", but this should be covered. One should not be forced into a service fee TO GO. ESPECIALLY if the service is completely inattentive, which it pretty much was. Again I'm hoping this was a fluke, since in general this did not happen in the other 2x I've been here. Also if this were my first time here, I'd give a much lower rating just for today. My beef and broccoli, and $3 (!?) side of rice to go was good, and put in a container which did not seep/break/spill on the way home, so I appreciate this. This rice-separating really irritates me. I mean, this dish is MEANT TO BE EATEN with rice. Who TF eats this without. We are not all carb-adverse.

Between the two of us, we ordered: Pork Shrmp Wonton Soup(6) SH Pan Fried Pork Bun (6) Scallion Pancake Slice Beef Beef ChiliPepp HandCut Noodle 1 Pork XLB Dumplings Pretty much every dish was great, and the standouts to me were the scallion pancake with sliced beef and the beef chili pepper hand cut noodles. The scallion pancake with beef was the most unique dish we had, and it had me wondering why scallion pancakes aren't always used as a protein wrapping?! Such a good idea. The sauce it came with was also incredible. And the hand cut noodles were also sooooooo delicious and nice and thick with great flavor. The other dishes (pork buns, pork XLB, and shrimp wonton soup) were alright, but nothing special. Overall the food was great though, the prices are sooo affordable for NYC, especially given the quality, and service was also good.

I stopped by Prawnaholic Collections for lunch and tried the shrimp green curry. Overall, the food…read morewas very good and tasted like proper Thai food, not a watered-down Midtown version. The curry had great flavor and a nice balance of richness, aromatics, and spice. I was warned that it was going to be hot, but by actual Thai standards I'd put it around a 1.5-1.75 out of 5. Definitely some heat, but nowhere near seriously spicy. My biggest issue was the portion of prawns. For a place called Prawnaholic, I expected a lot more shrimp. The curry itself was excellent, but the protein-to-sauce ratio was disappointing and hurt the overall value. The price was okay, but given the amount of prawns, I wouldn't call it a particularly good deal. That said, the staff were genuinely lovely. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which absolutely added to the experience. I'd come back because the cooking is clearly very good, but next time I'd either ask for extra prawns or try something where the portion feels a little more substantial.

Some of the best, crispy fish I've had! I ordered the fried fish with curry. The fish is very juicy and the outside coating is seasoned amazing and stays very crispy. The curry and steamed cabbage helps balance out the fish, though there's just enough curry to be used for dipping, so don't expect curry rice. This is a big portion too, so I ended up sharing with someone. The staff seem to make it fresh, so expect a little wait.

They serve all kinds of influences of Asian food, but mainly Taiwanese foods. They have baos, rice bowls, side dishes like sesame noodles, and other noodle bowls. The popcorn chicken comes with chopped kale, corn, cabbage, and crispy shallots. The popcorn chicken is cooked right, reasonable portion size, and flavorful. I've been here several times for this.
