FCR was the quickest to respond, easiest to communicate with, and the most professional. They treated my small job with the same care as a major project. After visiting and providing an estimate, Dylan and his team followed up to address any questions or concerns about the quote. Their reliability was immediately apparent. They confirmed a time window of 8-9 am and sent reminders before the work day. True to their word, they arrived right at 8 am. The fence is now standing straight and looks as good as new. I'm really glad I chose FCR and would highly recommend them!

Scheduling was easy, and they arrived right on time. Ben came with his crew, introduced everyone, and they got straight to work. They removed the old fence and installed the new one efficiently. The entire 24-foot fence project took just over four hours. We had received another quote from a handyman that was significantly higher and did not include a warranty. G & G Deck & Fence's pricing was very reasonable, and the fact that their work is backed by a warranty gave us added confidence. The quality of the work is excellent--the fence looks clean, sturdy, and very well built. Overall, I'm very happy with the results and would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Ignacio spoke with my husband several times to make sure he had all the details. The iron frame work and welding was excellent. We are very pleased to see our design become reality. The fence looks beautiful and very strong. Ignacio's crew was respectful and hard working. They cleaned up at the end of every day. Thank you, IVS and Ignacio!! We would recommend IVS Fences and Iron Works to any homeowner who wants quality craftsmanship for their project.

Ignacio, who came for the site visit and identified himself as the owner, was very easy to communicate with both in person and over the phone. However, Jackie, (not clear to me if she's the co-owner or Ignacio's wife) finalizes pricing and pretty much runs the show. For our project, we had picked IVS to do the work, but the price kept increasing by thousands of dollars. I asked to speak with Ignacio since these changes were inconsistent with what I discussed with him and put them week above our other quotes, but Jackie said that's not necessary since she decides the pricing. They also charge tax on materials, which no other fencers do (since they're already paying tax to Home Depot, etc.). These business practices felt disingenuous to me and like bait and switch. I've had issues in the past with businesses like this that once the work begins they'll change order you again and ask for more money. So we did not use them. For this fence, we received multiple quotes. Two companies were in the $9-10K range and IVS was around $12K. All were licensed and bonded. We went with the lowest quote and are extremely happy with our fence.

Finally I ran it off the rails when I tried to close the garage door while a ladder was in the way. D Garcia Landscaping completed a large fence project for us and we are extremely happy with the…read moreresults! This was a technically challenging project involving a steep hill and very mature redwood roots. Standout qualities of this company are: 1. Ease of quoting process Before coming out in person, they were able to give us a ballpark price based on dimensions, fence type, and site images. This allowed me to decide whether to move forward and I thought this was really respectful of my time. Then, Dago, the owner, came for the site visit and to discuss details. 2. No bait and switch In ironing out the details, there was some miscommunication about whether staining was included. Dago was able to meet us halfway with the price increase. This honest business style continued throughout the project and no change orders or unexpected price increases happened. 3. Detail oriented Throughout the project, we discussed details such as fence posts placement relative to tree roots, post height, etc. Dago was both available in person and by email via his assistant Maria. It was also nice to have responses confirmed in writing so that things were clear and there would be no bait and switch. 4. Personality Dago is a really nice person and I enjoy speaking with his about his geriatric dogs, etc. This also helped me not feel anxious about the project, because I felt that I could trust him. For this fence, we received multiple quotes. Two companies were in the $9-10K range, another was around $12K, and an outlier was above $20K. Dago's price was the lowest quote (with minute differences in material) and we are very glad we went with him!
