First round of meat going on

We had a great meal to celebrate Father's Day! AYCE is an excellent deal. Bon chon was good, but we were missing some classic appetizers. No pancakes made me sad. Corn cheese is awesome. Meats were very fresh & flavorful.

They were not too busy on Saturday night which really nice so we don't need to wait. Excellent service and definitely will come back next time

Decent affordable Korean BBQ! side dishes are simple, hope they have more authentic dishes

Stopped by for the lunch special. We were the only table there, but service was great. Meat was fresh and tasty, wish they had all the sides for lunch (rice cakes, ramen, and japchae are dinner only). For the lunch price, can't complain though!

This is my Favorite Ayce Korean bbq place in Chicagoland. They have unique items like beef intestines. They even have a DIY ramen making station that is included in the AYCE. Everytime I have been there, I was seated almost immediately and any dishes ordered was served within minutes.

I tried very hard to enjoy the famous Mr. Kimchi recommended by many Internet people. Good: large variey of meats to choose from and if you care about eating large quantities of meat, this is your spot. Best meats are the Kalbi, in marinated short rib, and brisket. Octopus was ok too. Ramen wall and cook your own ramen is a cute concept. Supposedly open late on a weeknight. Not Great: The pork items we ordered tasted barnyardy and the marinated pork sauce were inedibly weird and to avoid getting charged $15 for left over meat, I rinsed off all the sauce and doused in sesame oil. KFC chicken breading was thick and heavy with no flavor. All of the banchan was disappointing in flavor and texture, especially the Italian dressed lettuce, plain chap chae noodles with no veggies, strange textured radish and sweet kimchi. The tofu and soybean soups were really salty and MSG forward. I asked for some chopped green onions to help the flavors, but they didn't have any. What Korean restaurant doesn't have green onions? Last unfortunate thing is, we showed up at 8:30pm and they rushed us out before 10pm because they decided to close 2 hours earlier than the stated midnight closing. So we didn't get to try the ramen or ice cream. Also they didn't let us spin the wheel for a chance at a prize or discount. For $91 after tax and 18% mandatory tip for two people, I should've stayed in the city for a much more decent meal.

This was our first visit at Mr Kimchi. We came with a large group of 16 and they did a great job of serving our table. We had a good mix of adults and kids. The food overall good for ayce. I liked the banchan especially the pickled radish and kimchi. I did feel like the proteins could be seasoned more especially if you weren't eating alongside ramen or something more savory. We will be back but may try another location first.

My favorite meat are brisket, galbi, soy marinated pork rib, pork belly, cajun pork belly, thin sliced pork belly. Service is great, quality of food is great! Plqce is spacious and nice. Parking is not an issue. Definitely a regulat and will keep coming back. Happy eating!

Mr Kimchi had always been a great Korean BBQ spot but this was my first time at this location and they did not dissapoint! We put our names on the list and didn't eait too long, probably around 5 minutes and then we were seated. The inside had such for decore and a nice bar off to the side. We're in the very back room and were given menus and water right away. We decided to do the premium menu. We orderer pork belly, beef brisket, beef bulgogi, and the galbi. We also got rice and the egg casserole (steamed egg), the sides were all very well made and complemented each dish very well. All the meats were such good quality and marinated so well! The steamed egg was so fresh and made perfectly, wow! And my favorite part about this meal was the free ramen station! Wow it was such a great contribution to the meal. The wall of different ramen options were so exciting! It cooked pretty quickly about 4 minutes and then I was back at my table eating ramen with kimchi and pork belly! Our server Chan was so kind, tentative and was making sure he checked on us and didnt need anything! Overall great food, good quality meats, great service and just such a great vibe! I will definitely be back!

Came here for a weekend late lunch meal. The place was not basy and we were seated right away. We ordered the AYCE standard menu and had the beef brisket, bulgogi, pork belly, thinly sliced pork belly, soy marinade pork ribs. The beef brisket is one of the better cuts there, quick and easy to cook. They also have a help yourself ramen bar with a large variety of ramen to choose from. Some are easier to cook than others based on water and cook time.

A friend recommended this place, so we gave it a try--but it wasn't for us. The beef and seafood were just okay; the bulgogi lacked tenderness, and the spicy octopus and beef were underwhelming. Side dishes were average, but both soups were excessively salty. Service was mediocre. A staff member touched uncooked meat to cooked meat while clearing our table, and our order was forgotten. It took two waiters to give us a sprite. We got one Sprite and got charged twice for a Sprite. Would I return? I'll pass.

Finally had a chance to try out this Mr. Kimchi location. Went for an early dinner and we were seated right away. This location is very spacious so you can enjoy your meal without being right on top of another table. We did the premium option. I didn't realize they had a ramen wall that was included. Ill have to try it next time. The service and food is consistent across all their locations which is nice. I liked the bulgogi and short rub best. As for the sides love corn cheese and the KFC. We tried the viral fruit ice cream for dessert, it was good but kind of expensive for what it was.

There is a ramen bar which I don't understand lol. Then if uou move a little further in then you'll get to a much larger area, a more open space. It feels like air moves around more freely making it less likely for you to smell after you leave the place. Service is great, vege are fresh, so is meat for cooking. Pan chams are on point.

I love when the sides keep coming and actually taste fresh, and these definitely did. The grill experience was the highlight. Watching the marinated beef sizzle over the charcoal while it caramelized and crisped at the edges? Elite. The meat was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor -- especially dipped into the sesame oil sauce or that savory soy-based sauce with scallions. Every bite wrapped in lettuce with garlic and sauce was chef's kiss. And the yukhoe (beef tartare) was beautifully presented -- layered with avocado, topped with a glossy egg yolk and garlic slices. It was fresh, rich, and buttery with just the right amount of seasoning. Mixing it all together made it creamy and flavorful without being overpowering. Overall, Jin Soo delivers on quality meat, great sides, and that interactive KBBQ vibe that makes the meal feel like an experience. I think this would be a great place for a date if you're in the area, a prize in an unassuming strip mall anchored by an auto parts store. Food was great, they happily and generously provided more banchan and also gave us complimentary bowls of soy paste soup that was practically jumping out of the bowl. As civilised as I tried to be, using my chopsticks and the cooking tongs correctly, I still felt like I completely stuffed my face like at a trough '^_^ it was all so good. Maybe to accommodate the neighborhood, the banchan was not nearly as spicy as we expected, so that might be great for someone trying Korean for the first time. We didn't try any food since we came from a late dinner but I could see how it would add to the ambience. Dropped a star due to confusion/miscommunication with staff when we were directed to our room. We were a group of 10 that booked a small room but were seated in the large room. Since we were celebrating a birthday, we didn't think anything of it. When we went to pay, we realized that it was not a complimentary upgrade and were charged for the large room ($20 more per hr). The issue was able to be resolved but at the end of the day, this was an easy issue to prevent from the get-go.

Because it just opened, we were one of the few groups yet service was still pretty slow (we kept looking for a button to call the waiter as many korean restaurants have). We ordered the following - prices were a bit high overall: - kimchi fried rice: the cheese made this nice and savory and this was the best bang for your buck because of the portion - galbi: pretty tasty but small pieces - chicken feet stew: this came out cold so we had to send it back- they had forgotten to bring out the portable burner that comes with the dish. Otherwise this was very spicy (which I liked) and a big portion - bossam: my favorite dish. Lots of sides that came with the pork belly, which was great because none of the other dishes came with banchan or kimchi. Rice is usually an extra cost, but the server gave it to us complementary during this visit. I'm glad I tried a lot of dishes and had tasty Korean bar food! I'd recommend giving it a try.

I recently stopped by with my boyfriend while passing through the area, and Korean soup hits differently when it's freaking cold outside. The bowl includes thin flour noodles, tender meat and tendon, and is topped with green onions. It also comes out with kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi), regular kimchi, a dipping sauce for the meat, and salt to season the soup to your liking. All of that plus a Diet Coke came out to $33.99 for both of us. In this economy? That's a solid deal. The lady and the man working behind the counter are always sweet, which is a plus.
