We were celebrating a birthday and they brought the birthday boy a Moon pie with chocolate sauce and a sparkler. It was very sweet of them to l celebrate with us. A couple of folks in our party had a few drinks. They also said those were good. It said karaoke, but no one was doing karaoke and we were so busy eating, we forgot to ask about it. Service was very good. The wait staff checked in on us often. I really loved that the tables had a little drawer that had all the utensils and napkins that we would need throughout the dinner. My favorite of the night was the rose tteokbokki. The tteokbokki was perfectly chewy and I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. The popcorn chicken was also good and paired well with the sauce it came with. The bossam was on the dry side and the seafood pancake was pretty standard. The fries were good but wouldn't pay $10 for a basket of fries if we came back next time. The corn cheese was also good but the plate was small. There was a call button at each table which was convenient. Food came out individually as it was ready instead of all at once which was to be expected for our party size.

Food was great, they happily and generously provided more banchan and also gave us complimentary bowls of soy paste soup that was practically jumping out of the bowl. As civilised as I tried to be, using my chopsticks and the cooking tongs correctly, I still felt like I completely stuffed my face like at a trough '^_^ it was all so good. Maybe to accommodate the neighborhood, the banchan was not nearly as spicy as we expected, so that might be great for someone trying Korean for the first time. Some might balk at the prices of some items, such as $24.99 for 1/2lb of raw meat, but we had a very enjoyable time and hope to come again.

I've been to gopchang restaurants in Koreatown in Los Angeles and in Korea. I have not been to one that cooks gopchang in a grill with no outlet for oil drainage. For something greatly oily, it felt uncomfortable seeing it cook in an abundance of its own oil. The restaurant's lackluster solution to all of this oil was to dunk in large pieces of bread to soak it up. This not only looked very unappetizing but was not a successful solution. Additionally, letting the gopchang cook in its own oil, left the gopchang to be "fried" crisp and hard. The bulgogi hotpot had a good amount of meat and vegetables, but was way too sweet. They gave a small bowl of chive salad to a group of 5 of us to share, which we were each able to get very small portions of. They charge extra if you want more chive salad. Overall, a very disappointing experience, could not recommend.

Just bad and to make it worse they charge for the dumbest things like a "take out" charge. 10/10 do not recommend.

I'm just glad the quality is up to par since it is a chain originating from Korea.
