The facility is comforting, inviting. Plenty of areas for seating. There was no other guest in the dining area. We ordered our food and I ran to the washroom. There was two empty rolls of toilet paper and an almost empty one sitting on top of those two. The food came out relatively quickly and we were quite shocked by the size. We ordered 1 chicken and shrimp and the other beef and pork with mild sauce. To me, that mild was way spicy. I ate what I could and what I did eat was delicious. This is a bowl that keeps on giving lol. Bottom filled with rice, then noodles, then lettuce, then meat, veggies and sauce as well as dumplings. Very good, but spicy... They had some great soothing music playing and after an hour and a half drive that was nice. Unfortunately that didn't last long as the employee behind the counter was enjoying a show on the mobile device and it was at a high volume. Seriously unprofessional. Maybe invest in some headphones. The facility was nice, clean. Staff was friendly. Food was good!

Stopped in here after work the other day, and after eating, I don't get how no one was there! I got the beef cupbop that was $16.99 and came with a drink! I typically go for the beef/bulgogi when I try new Korean places because that usually is the teller if a Korean spot is good and this beef cupbop was soooo flavorful!!! The cupbop had white rice, japchae noodles, lettuce, broccoli, carrots, 2 dumplings, beef, and was topped with the medium sauce and something like a sriracha aioli. There was also mild and hot choices for sauce too. Staff was nice! There is a corner where you can buy different Korean snacks and drinks as well. Lots of parking! Reminded me of the original Cupbop I went to in Utah!

We saw them prepping last week making the final touches on the restaurant launch. And was excited to come back this week after opened. The owner was very nice, explained how the restaurant is the second one, the first being in Naperville. His loyal customers in the Ville always said it they wanted one in the North shore so he decided to open one here in downtown Glenview! The menu seems large, but mostly variations of a Cupbop. Took me a while to figure out what I'd want since there were some good choices. He suggested the chicken and beef combination. I opted for pork after a little bit of wrestling back and forth with my decision. The portion is really good, a big container, makes two meals for my own appetite. Was pleasantly surprised by the chapchae in the under layers. The pork on top of lettuce, on top of chapchae, on top of rice. The sauces I had on the side, level two spicy was plenty spicy for me, a very unique taste that I'm still trying to figure out (salty, umami, and the rice spice level). The spicy mayo was excellent very nice and a tonkatsu kind of sauce as well. If I had mixed it all together I would be really satisfied with all the flavors going on. Pork was fantastic , a good char, marinated with so much flavor - I'm glad I had the pork. We'll need to come back for another round. They also have tteopbokki and kimbap and some noodle soups like ramen and udon. I'd imagine the food to be most excellent and a great addition to the Glenview area.

Barely any sauce for this big bowl

My first impression of this place and service was not good so I highly doubt I'll be back. I walked in and I was the only customer in the establishment. The lady at the front was watching a show on her tablet full blast, didn't stop to greet me or explain how things worked. She never paused her show or turned it down. I felt like I was inconveniencing her but yet I was here so I was going to order. I eventually figured out to order on the kiosk. Even though it says cupbop those are some huge bowls. I ordered two to go the beef and the chicken cupbops. The wait time was short as I was the only one there. The only time the lady interacted with me was to tell me I was reaching into the wrong cooler to grab the water. So terrible service but also the food was subpar. Even though it is a huge bowl the lettuce portion is what makes up most of it. The sauce they put on the side was not enough for the bowl sized portions. Bad service plus just okay food. It's not for me.

Under the protein is lettuce, chapchae, and rice.

My kids and I were a little surprised and somehow sad when we found out that Best Cutlet was replaced. We were curious about what replaced it and ordered take out from Cupbop Jangin one evening. We tried: SHRIMP TEMPURA ROLL, BEEF & SHRIMP TEMPURA COMBO, PORK & CHICKEN COMBO, and BEEF RAMEN. The shrimp tempura roll was just ok. The beef ramen was probably better if it was not take out because by the time we were going to eat it at home, the broth already absorbed the noodles. Maybe next time we'll either dine-in or request for the broth to be in a separate container from the noodles. For the rice bowls, the servings were huge. Under the protein, there were 3 layers: lettuce, japchae, and rice. The japchae was a tad salty though but the beef, pork, and chicken were tasty. The shrimp tempura got soggy, so this would be better for dine-in as well. We'll try other dishes for dine-in next time. I wish Cupbob Jangin the best and I hope some day, they can incorporate the Best Cutlet dishes as well. Good luck!

The servers kept passing by our table and going to other tables even when we notified them we needed a server. I started with the Screwkiss Cocktail and my guy had the Melona Cocktail. Considering they had whole popsicles in them, it wasn't surprising they were on the sweeter side. However, mine took forever and a half to melt; I even had to use a spoon to try and mash it faster. Fun drink, but wouldn't get it again. The complimentary bean sprout soup was light and refreshing. We started with the Stir-Fried Chicken Gizzards. It was much more rough/tough than expected. It was my first time having it and I liked the flavor, but the texture was mehh. My guy said he's always had gizzards that were softer and preferred it like that. The Beef Brisket with Mung Bean Sprout was really good! My favorite dish for sure! It was perfectly cooked and flavored and definitely a 5/5 for me. I got a side of Glass Noodles to eat with it, but I didn't like these noodles. Glass noodles are one of my fave noodles normally. The Army Stew with Ramen Noodles was good, but the flavor was pretty monotonous so it got boring fast. Their kimchi was okay and I wish it didn't have some of the ingredients like the pepperoni. We got a side order of Tteokbokki and it was a really great choice with this dish!

The grill was a touch oilier than I'm used to (probably to keep the meat from sticking), but it bother me slightly although most people would probably enjoy it. We've got been twice so far and both times we're very satisfied overall with all the food. However, the price was a bit much for this I'd say. Beef tartar: 3 of 5 As there was nothing to special to it. Wouldn't get it a second time. I'd say the trip was disappointing for our party of 5 and what we got didn't match the quality of other gopchang restaurants in LA. For me who did not eat intestines I'd say it's a 3 of 5 place, but I'd say the value for the intestines based on what my party ate was more of a 2 of 5 as it was mostly grease that overwhelmed everything with no meaningful way to reduce it. Service was a good 4 of 5, but not as attentive at times.

For the 5 of us, we ordered the double portion of large intestines, beef tartar, and the bulgogi hotpot. The presentation of food initially was great. I've been to gopchang restaurants in Koreatown in Los Angeles and in Korea. I have not been to one that cooks gopchang in a grill with no outlet for oil drainage. For something greatly oily, it felt uncomfortable seeing it cook in an abundance of its own oil. The restaurant's lackluster solution to all of this oil was to dunk in large pieces of bread to soak it up. This not only looked very unappetizing but was not a successful solution. Additionally, letting the gopchang cook in its own oil, left the gopchang to be "fried" crisp and hard. The bulgogi hotpot had a good amount of meat and vegetables, but was way too sweet. They gave a small bowl of chive salad to a group of 5 of us to share, which we were each able to get very small portions of. They charge extra if you want more chive salad. Overall, a very disappointing experience, could not recommend.

We ordered a variety of dishes to share for our party of 3. We ordered the seafood pancake, bossam, garlic wings and the budae hot pot. It was plenty of dishes for the three of us to try. The seafood pancake was good and prepared perfectly with lots of filling. The bossam was cooked well too and came with a big plate of toppings and sides to go with it, all of which were good. The garlic wings was not very much like Korean fried chicken but more had like just an Asian taste to it. The skin was not super crispy and cooked like typical KFC. Though still decent taste.
