I had a great experience here. My keys for two cars were stolen while I was on vacation along with all of my luggage. Luckily my wife still had both of her copies. I called Toyota to inquire about getting new keys there, but they wanted about $750 all together for both keys. I came here and was able to buy both Toyota OEM keys with programming included, and I spent half as much as I would have paid at the dealership. Keys work great, and the owner was very nice. He gave me a small discount since I bought two keys, and he offered me cold bottled water, which was nice because it was about 100 degrees outside. This is my new place to get keys. read more

I was recommended to go here by Home Depot. They make my keys wrong at Home Depot and the lady said that they are always making them wrong so she referred me to this place. I went in and was helped immediately by the owner of the shop. His dad owned the shop before him so you know it's a good family business. He had so many different key choices and options. He wasn't in a hurry for me to choose and when I spent all that time choosing (I chose the wrong type) he was happy to wait longer. He also gives you a free ring with your key. I brought this guy a GM key from the dealership brand new in the bag. I asked him to cut it he said if it doesn't work I don't guarantee it because it's not my key brand. apparently his aftermarket keys are better than the original GM keys with the big Chevy logo in GM plastic wrap. This hack did a poor job at cutting at it and charged 10 dollars while giving me attitude. I wish I would have gone elsewhere where my business is appreciated. The lock on my car trunk was completely jammed and pushed in and I had no other way to get into my trunk but with a key entry (no inside car trunk latch and my back seats didn't go down). I had been to other locksmiths before that told me there was nothing they could do and I would need to go to the dealership. The owner offered to take my backseat out, crawl through the trunk and fix my lock for $65. He did it in under 45 minutes even though he was the only one there at the shop and the phones were ringing and he was busy. I was so grateful and happy to have my car trunk back!! Gabriel is an honest and helpful guy. He helped me with my Daughters Mitsubishi which has a very complicated key fob. He took the time to do research on it and he was able to figure it out and reprogram both of my key fobs, one by the way was a used one and the other was the original one. This place sucks! Went in to get keyless car entry case replaced, I called 10 minutes before to get qoute to replace just the cracked case & was told $15. Went in, told them I JUST called regarding case for 15 bucks, guy says "Oh yes, I remember" and asks if anything else wrong besides case being cracked. I said NO, everything works fine just need new case. He proceeds to change case. I give him $15 cash he says, "Oh, its $20".I said, "I was just told $15" He then says "Oh, well I changed the battery for you"...WTF?!!! I specifically said that NOTHING else was wrong with it. Whatever, because I only had 15 bucks cash on me I pull out my card to pay. Then he says, "Oh, it'll be $25 plus tax if you use your card so $27 total". I said, "How is tax $7 more & how did replacing the just the case go from $15 to $27? Instead of explaining the odd increease, the guy just looks at me with a blank stare...I politely placed $15 on the counter & proceeded to walk out with my the new case he just put on along with my future business smh read more

I bought an exterior lock that goes on the outside of a door knob and took it back later that day with the recipt. It cost $60. They owner refused to refund my money and gave me only store credit. The manager Carlos screwed me out of $60. I bought a lock cover for a doorknob that cost $60 frigen bucks! My wife hated the idea because it was a fire hazard, so when I took it back, the manager said "all sales are final, it says on your recipit:" Then he said I can have store credit and threw the lock cover on a pile of five others he had in the corner. I HAD to spend $60 frigen bucks as a damn lock store! It didn't cost that guy nothing to give me my money back. I was still going to buy about $30 of stuff there. Instead I left with a bunch of crap I didn't need and will never go there again. This used to be the only lockshop I would go to Slim's Key Shop in Ontario. read more

I was charged $130 (before taxes) by Mr. Keys to have 2 keys programmed for my FORD Expedition. The keys started the vehicle initially, but soon after, the vehicle would not start and the "theft" light would come on. Not knowing what the issue was, I took the vehicle to the dealer. Ford charged $290. to diagnose the issue. They found that the keys were defective. After getting rid of the Mr. Keys keys, the problem has never resurfaced. A refund was refused to me, and BBB even tried getting my money refunded without success. So I actually spent over $300 and wasted a tremendous amount of time. MY ADVICE is to get your keys made elsewhere. read more
