We went in shortly before 2 pm to have our locks to our doors re-done. We were happy that it was only $15 to change out each core. We needed 8 total to match. The guy at the counter said it would take an hour. So we left to get something to eat and do a little shopping. When we returned about 3 hours later, our locks were not done yet and he said it would take another half hour. We were a little disappointed because he admittedly got busy and completed other orders before ours. He didn't charge us for extra keys but we weren't keen on being told something would be ready at a certain time and it not being the case. In the past, we've come here to get extra copies of keys. They do seem pricier for cool designer keys than other places, but hey, sometimes it's worth it. Also, we showed up on Sunday because Yelp stated it was open... clearly not the case. It was closed. My 2006 Toyota Tundra locks wouldn't work properly, the ignition key would come out no matter what position it was in, and the remote wouldn't work. I have to give him 5 stars because he cut my Toyota key for free, but he did make a mistake and blamed me for it. I gave him the correct bitting for my key, assuming 1 is the deepest cut, which was written on the sheet I gave him. He cut the key with my bitting assuming 4 was the deepest cut (which might have been the convention he used). If he had noticed that 1 is the deepest cut, or if he had used the 5-digit code I gave him, he would have cut the key correctly the first time. But he cut another key (for free) with the code he measured on my original key, which was simply the reverse of the code I gave him (i.e. replacing 1, 2, 3, 4 with 4, 3, 2, 1). read more

ZERO RATING! WE ARE STRANDED! Just this week we had Mr. Keyman cut a new key for the Club that goes on my husband's truck. Today we loaded our bikes on our truck to go ride the bike trail on Camp Pendleton. We put the Club on the steering wheel before heading down the bike trail. After the key to my 2017 Ford Expedition stopped working, I started looking around for a solution. I called the dealer where I bought it less than a year ago, and they would only give me a 10% discount. They said the key was $180 and to cut and program it, and additional $150. So, basically, the dealership wanted $330 for a new key- Really??? I then called Mr Keyman. He was very knowledgeable and said he could try to program my old key, or sell me a new one for $149. He assured me it was a Ford OEM key. When I arrived, there were several people ahead of me. However, he was able to attend to me withing a few minutes. After testing my old key, he said it was intermittent. I decided to go with a new key. It was an official Ford OEM key and he had it programmed within around 10 minutes or so. He was also able to give me the key-less entry code which I did not have before. Total price with tax: $162.36!! The key works perfectly and he saved me over $150!! This place is great! He said they do thousands of cars a year. They've been in business for 15 years and it shows.
