Excellent locksmith. I hired them to cut two vehicle keys and program those keys to a vehicle and it was done within about 15 minutes. I would rate this company very highly because of the speed of service and the cost of service. My call was just a regular service call and not a rush so I did let him know that in the beginning, but he took care of me like it was a Priority Call. I will have them back to key another vehicle once I'm done fixing my other vehicle! Thank you so much for your professionalism and having a dedicated mobile vehicle for locksmith services! read more

R&J was a lifesaver! Look no further and give them a call now. We needed an emergency change of locks on Christmas day and they answered immediately. Jacob showed up within 30 minutes and changed our locks in less than an hour. I thought they were going to give us an outrageous price! It was only $150 for two locks which was soo cheap, especially since it was Christmas day. Thank you so much Jacob. You are the best. read more

Called them for a key fob for a 2021 f350 they came super quick to my house and was done with in less than 20 minutes . ROY was friendly and easy to talk to . Best price I found too!!! Go here first . Truck is good to go and I'm super happy . Will definitely use them again read more

Today was my lucky day. I had called Lemon Grove Honda to get a price on a new key after our old one broke. Just to program the key was $200 and the key itself was gonna be another $100. So all in $300 for a new key to a 2012 Honda Accord! That's insane. A quick search of yelp and I discovered that you can get car keys laser cut and programmed by R&J Locksmith! And for a fraction of the price I was quoted at the dealership. I called up Roy and told him about my trouble. He said no problem he'd take care of me. He came to my house which was super convenient. He got here in about 1/2 an hour. Once he got here he quickly introduced himself and got down to work. He was very courteous and professional and had my new key cut and working properly in about 15 minutes. Did I mention Roy came to my house? That was the best part. I told you today was my lucky day. Do yourself a favor and call these guys up for great service and quality. Roy really took care of me at an affordable price to boot. read more

My Schlage Encode Plus lock on my front door suddenly quit working, of course when I'd left the house and forgot to bring my keys with me. The keypad wouldn't light up at all and I unfortunately never got any notifications from the Schlage app on my phone that something was wrong. After trying to fix it for a while I gave up and found R&J Locksmith. Gave them a call and Alex came to my home within 15 minutes. He was able to open the lock without doing any damage to it, obviously very skilled at what he does! Friendly guy and very helpful. Thank you for the quick, emergency service! read more

Terrible person be careful of his scams to make his money. He wouldn't look for your best interest instead more eager and how he'll make more money. After finding my key only needed a cover he insisted that I need a whole new key. Customers do your homework before calling him. He isn't helpful in saving you money instead his goal is to look for schemes on how he can make more money off of you. Watch what he does. read more

I was locked out of my condo. I called R&J Services. A young man, giving the name Roei came. He was very nice, however he charged $765 for replacing my deadbolt lock. It did not take an excessive amount of time and seemed very routine . I feel this was an outrageous overcharge. I am an elderly widow. I live in Glendale.CA. read more

I had one lost and one broken key for our old Honda Civic. I tried a couple of different places first, but they said they said that I would have to bring the car in if I didn't have a good key to copy. R&J Locksmith not only answered the phone when I called but offered to come out that morning. Now we have a new key, and the broken key was programmed to work as our backup. It was all done in about 20 minutes, and the cost was much less than what the dealer quoted. read more

Really great service, in less than 20 minutes I had two fob keys ade for my car and he threw in a free key for the trunk. They have all the keys in the van ready to go! They were also available immediately. read more

Maybe it wasn't intentional but sure felt like bait and switch. Said it would cost about x amount but need to see. When they came to see, said it would cost more because of the kind of lock it was. After trying to jiggle it, couldn't finish it and said we owed for the service call anyway but if we wanted them to drill it out it would cost more. Started to drill out and then said due to the type of lock replacement it would cost a lot more. At that point I had enough of the wild ride and just paid him off without the replacement. The next day I had property management replace the lock which cost me around $30. I was charged $250 with the final result of drilling out the old lock to get in but with no replacement. I could be wrong but they estimated they could have replaced the lock for $150-200, which would've been a total of $400-450. Would've been better to stay at a hotel for $200 and have property management charge the $30 for a total of $230. ***Update He replied to my review and said he "looked up my phone number" but couldn't find it and it's not him. I never even gave him a phone number to look up. Anyway I added the venmo payment screenshot. Don't do business with this guy. Find someone who can provide at least the bare minimum in decency and service. He'll go so far as to deny that it was him on Yelp, real grimy. And look at all the other reviews from Adam P., This G., Vishal S., JoAnn D. that describe the same type of behavior and ethic. 5 legit reviews about shady practice out of 16 is more than enough to help you make a decision on how you'll experience doing business with this place. read more

R & J Locksmith - My proof of payment with R&J Locksmith - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

I'll start with the positives, which earned the two stars--they arrived quickly to my location where my keys were locked in the trunk of my car. The work took about 3 minutes and the trunk was opened. I have no idea who came to "help" because he didnt even acknowledge me or answer any questions. He was completely RUDE and disrespectful. They would not give me a price on the phone and the man arrived and started doing the work and still wouldn't give me a price until it was fixed, even though I asked multiple times and expressed that I needed an estimate first. He ended up charging me $200 for the 3 minutes of work. The speediness was great but absolutely zero customer courtesy. Not the person you want to deal with when you're a woman stuck alone in a parking lot in the dark in an extremely frustrating situation. Do better. read more

Omg life savers I lost my keys and after calling a few locksmith they were they only ones that knew how to program a new one for my cargo van which was not easy to do but they didn't leave until they got the job done. He fixed my transponder key to my 2009 Mazda 6. It only took him 3 mins to replace the chip. Their prices are waaaay lower than other locksmiths. Keep up the great work R and J. I'm so grateful to R&J Locksmith. He was able to help me super quickly with a car key. He got the job done and was a pleasure to work with.

Roei fixed my key cylinder in 20 minutes! I have an older Honda civic and ran into an issue with it the day before where the key wasn't able to turn in the ignition. I had to find a locksmith who could address the specific issue, and a few I called said they don't deal with that sort of thing. He came out the same day and solved the problem. Super grateful for his service, great customer service! read more

Horribly over priced. Prompt in response which was great, but quoted me a $30 trip charge. Lock on my slider was out of alignment. He said it would prob run in the ballbark of $130 if that wasn't the case, even if he had to change the lock, which i thought would be high. I was SHOCKED to get a bill (without a company name or lic # (provided upon request) for $220...he was there for 30 min! That's $380/hr! He brought it down to $175, but seriosuly... $290/hr + trip charge? On top of that, he was extremely aggressive and rude. Wish I could give 0 stars. read more

Roy is the man. One call and he's on it 30min after. Reliable and trust worthy. I gave him the address where my car was parked at, he got to the location before me, when I got there, boom, he gave me 10min to finish the program. That's it. Btw, I had a car key replacement. He handed me a spare car door key. R&J Locksmith, highly recommended with the right price. read more

R & J Locksmith showed up on time, the service was outstanding and they were very friendly. I give R & J Locksmith dive stars!!

Very disappointed in the business practices of this individual. He knew the make and model of the car and wouldn't provide an estimate over the phone. We told him we were in a rush and he said he could be there in 25-30 minutes and he arrived an hour late. Other companies we called for an estimate were more honest about their ETA and provided us with an idea of how much it would cost. He charged $230 which was apparently a discounted price off of the absurd $280 he wanted us to pay. If he had been honest with us from the start about timing and cost I wouldn't be disappointed. He gets two stars because he was at least able to get us into the car. read more

Roei was and Is the Best Locksmith I have Ecountered! His professionalism and customer Service is so Outstanding. On Time and went over and beyound to help me with My FOB!! Paid $400+ for a new fob/key combo and they gave me a cheap used plastic thing that stopped working a few days later. Almost all the reviews they had on here got removed or not recommended due to the fact that all of their positive reviews were either from fake accounts or from friends. I would not recommend these rip-off artists to anyone. read more
