Called in the morning and he arrived in the afternoon! Complete key shop in his truck. It's a mobile home with old doors and he was able to make it work. Installed my lockset and deadbolt, no problem. Would have taken me hours. Highly recommend this company! read more

Thank you sm! I was in such a pickle locking my keys in my car and everyone worked so hard to help me. I am so appreciative and want to thank everyone. I wish I remembered the woman's name who called me because she is amazing. Thank you! read more

wonderful service. community oriented. fast service friendly!! I highly recommend for all your key issues .

We had the good fortune of being connected to Day & Night security through AAA's recommendation. Chris made it to our house the same day I called to help us re-key all 11 locks that had been compromised by keys being stolen from our car. He does excellent work, is very knowledgeable and helped us feel secure in our home again immediately. The office staff were so friendly and easy to work with as well. Thank you, Day & Night!! read more

We just moved in to our new place and I wanted to get the front door lock changed and was hoping that both front door and garage key could match (instead of using 2 different keys). I received a call from the office letting me know that Aaron was running late from another job and was given a new time (2 hrs later). The timing was not an issue and I really appreciated the phone call giving me a heads up. Aaron arrived, was friendly, competent and the job was completed in under 30 minutes. I would definitely use Day & Night security Lock again. Thank you. read more

Excellent service! Hands down the place to go to. My situation was I needed a duplicate key made for my car and the key had a Chip in it. So after calling around I realized this place had the best price and also a much friendlier person picking up the phone than any other locksmith I tried. The person that helped me out ( i think it was the owner) was very helpful and very quick. Then on top of that he made me an extra key without me even asking . Great place ! read more

I am very happy with the service and professionalism of Day & Night Security Lock and Safe - I had them some to my new home and re-key 4 locks for me. Setting up my appointment was quick and easy, and I was given an accurate quote over the phone. My scheduled appointment was between 11 and 1 but when the tech wasn't at my house near 1 PM, I called to confirm. Michelle was very apologetic and made sure I was taken care of. She even called me to let me know when the technician was 10 minutes away. Even though they were busy and running behind, the level of service made up for it. After Frank arrived, the process was quick and easy. He was very helpful and explained everything he did. We are very happy with the outcome and glad to have 1 key for our 3 doors. read more

This is a one star review just because their customer service is terrible. I am so frustrated with this company I'm not going to let it slide. I needed an additional keyless remote for my car. I called Day & Night and they had to order the fob. They said they would call me when it came in and then I could set up an appointment. Several days went by and I decided I would call them. The fob had come in but they had never bothered to call me. I made an appointment and they could not program the remote. They said they would order another one and call me when it came in. I never heard back from them. I really don't understand what the problem is. Why not just say you don't want to do the job or you can't do the job. Why leave people hanging? read more

If you are writing a review of a locksmith there is a good chance you've locked yourself out of your car, your house, or done something silly that requires some professional help. My scenario was I had a nail file embedded into my car's ignition. I tried for two hours to dislodge it myself using professional grade tweezers, needle nose pliers, etc. Chris from Day & Night arrived within the hour. Did the work for the exact fee quoted over the phone. Completed the work quickly and efficiently and didn't leave until after he made sure I used the key to verify indeed everything was in working order. I highly recommend this shop, they are a AAA provider, and he was a pleasure to do business with. They also make keys for many cars (not the ones that require you to go to the dealer) so I had him make me a spare key for surfing! read more

AH! they made my day. they are so sweet it'll make yours too. it's a long story, but basically i made a mistake and left my photo id in my car when i was supposed to have it, but they were so kind about it. i called, and i think a lady named michelle helped me. she was so understanding, and we laughed about the situation. she made me feel so much better in a situation where i otherwise would have felt totally screwed. they literally came in 5-10 minutes. and then the nicest man named john shook my hand with a huge smile, and the friendliest demeanor, and unlocked my car is 2 minutes. it was pretty amazing. he was so genuine and caring. thanks for doing your job with such big hearts! read more

Cheap, quick, efficient! Canvassed around for a decent price for getting a duplicate for the car key I lost. Theirs was the cheapest one I found. My car is newer so they needed to order the key and asked me to call back for an appointment in a couple of days. I called at 9am today and asked if I could come in in an hour. Fortunately, they weren't as busy so I was able to come in. It took Chris 15 minute to duplicate my key. He programmed it so it could unlock and start the vehicle. They key worked just fine even if it was initially locked by my original remote key. I'm one satisfied customer! read more

I learned long ago that the $45 we spend for AAA is really just a "if the Fates frown then smile on you, then your car will break down within 7 miles of where you need to be towed and it will be free." But always tip. I have yet to have a free tow but I am thankful Day/Night was who AAA sent our business to. I lost my only set of keys to the car. Yes, I will be buying one of those RFID things (Tracker?) because I spent far too long bent over slowly walking the path from my vehicle to front door....the neighbors must have thought I was trying my best to see the very molecules the concret and grass were made of.... Now, I have found "lost keys" in the refrigerator, inside a cereal box and even a pair that were clutched in the skeletal hands of Jimmy Hoffa. I usually make 2-3 spares, leaving a set with the in laws. But I recently found (as a 42 year old man) that yes, some adults actually need the medication some lawyers, doctors and graduate students use to "keep the midnight oil burning." I lose things, I am impulsive (have you moved to Maui 3 months after visiting Belize because "it will be fun," or purchased a $90 coin from the storied reign of Justinian (Nika! Nika!). What actually made me keep the appointment is reading an article that claimed adults who were not treated for ADD are 87% more likely to die on an auto accident then "normal" adults. Nota Bene: 67.57% of all statistics you read in online comments are 23% incorrect 45% of the time. Anyway, for those brave souls down here I wanted to thank you for your time. I suggest you save Day and Night right now in your phone. Be prepared! And people, get that fire safe at Staples, get that external hard drive and make sure all those amazing pics and vids you have on your phone are safe and secure....who knows, maybe in 78,098 the AI super beings who will inherit this corner of the galaxy from us may discover said hard drive, build a simulated universe and recreate you and your loved ones as they seek to understand how a smallish tribe of hunter gatherers survived the Toba explosion and not only dominated the planet but one Day created beings so advanced the processing power of their minds meant one hour to them would seem like a decade to us and traveling and populating a few local stars really wasn't a big deal. read more

My 16 year old daughter lost her keys at school. I was at work and called several places until I found this one; they have great prices. The customer service was amazing from the start. The locksmith was going to meet her after school in the student parking lot. I was notified that the driver was running a little late. When I called my daughter to let her know she was getting anxious because she has low blood sugar and was nervous because she didn't have her snack. When I called back to see if he could possibly hurry, the woman in the office said she would call her guy right away and have him stop on the way to grab a snack and a water for her, so she could eat when he arrived. They don't seem to have businesses with this level of commitment and service. I just wanted them to know I'm very appreciative and I will recommend them to anyone looking for a locksmith in my area. read more

Locked myself out the house, called Day & Night and they came in about 40 mins from Vista and I'm in Carlsbad. My wife locked herself out of her van.......again! Not to worry, she called AAA and they sent John Anderson from Day & Night Security Lock & Safe. I just here to echo all the positive reviews!!! I've been here a few times for different reasons and every time they have been extremely friendly, professional, and helpful even if they couldn't totally help. Once I simply told them my car key wasn't working so they got in my car and cleaned up the key hole and made me a couple copies of my best up and completely worn down key. They worked flawlessly and even my old key worked in the serviced key hole! All this with similes and politeness for only $10!! I've been in for other key copies, (which only cost $3!!!!!!) and on hot days they offer me cold waters while I wait a whopping 3 minutes. Great place read more

Arrived at my notary appt, got out of Volvo and readied my briefcase and purse. Looked at my watch and realized I was 5 minutes early. Usually this isn't a big deal, however the client works evenings, so I figured to be exactly on time. I put everything back in Volvo and closed her door. Yes siree! I put everything in Volvo. The client's husband called AAA for me and in 30 minutes we were sitting at their kitchen table signing their loan documents. Guess who came out to help me? John from Day & Night Lock. What a gentleman. No comments, no giggles, just a tool and Boom! I was back in business. Thank you Day & Night. Robyn Carlson Carlson Mobile Notary read more

I went in to get my car lock replaced because my key wasn't fitting anymore and was met by Michelle and Chris, the owners. They were super helpful and informative and helped me right on the spot. They recommended that I not fix the lock itself but rather get new keys cut and programmed as that was where the problem was. They made 3 keys for me for a great price and I left a very happy customer with a little extra cash left in my pocket. I highly recommend them. read more

I had the misfortune of losing the keys to my car. The gentleman with Day & Night Security Lock was really nice and efficient. He had the locks changed on my car in less time then he quoted, which was only 45 minutes to begin with. The entire service was a great value too. Much less expensive than anyone else I called for a quote. I hope I will never need their services again, but if I do I'll definitely use them again! read more

Day and Night made a very reasonable bid to re-key my house, and they were every bit as good as in the other reviews. Friendly, personable, came on time with everything they needed, delivered the work quickly, cleanly and cheerfully. 5 stars, two thumbs up, I wish I could hug them in gratitude. I wish every company was like this family based business that is run with perfection. Probably the fastest call back I have EVER received. Michelle was so thoughtful and texted and called to make sure everything was ok! And it was. They were prompt to the minute and had everything f taken care of and were extremely friendly. Best of all is that my problem is 100% fixed. Couldn't ask for a better experience. read more

I AM IMPRESSED! I am a Real Estate professional and have managed 100's of properties that required a re-key. When I needed to have a job completed quickly I found Day & Night Security Lock & Safe because of 1) they have a high Yelp rating and 2) they were close to the vacant foreclosure property. This is the first time I have hired them and they treated me as if I were a high value returning customer. They were RESPONSIVE TO OUR URGENCY to change all the locks on the house and secure it the best way possible. That was impressive enough, but... They are the MOST AFFORDABLE locksmith I have hired in the past 15 years. Additionally, when I met Chris, I immediately liked him. He presented himself professionally and was friendly. He worked quickly and was personable. He was affordable and still provided a quality service. Without a doubt, from today on, Day & Night Security Lock & Safe will be my first call when I need a locksmith. I already have them programmed in my phone and I highly recommend you do the same. read more

Very professional, they took care of me. I called to have the doors rekeyed to my house, having just moved in. One of the doors had a lock for which I had no key. He picked it open to rekey it, at no extra charge. When it came time to pay, I asked if they offered any discount to AAA members if it's for house locksmith services instead of automobile services. They gave me a 5% discount. They were fast and professional, and didn't charge me for their extra effort. Thank you, Day & Night! I will gladly bring my business to you again if I ever have locksmithing needs. read more

I'm so thankful that AAA uses Day & Night Security Lock & Safe to take care of idiots, like myself, who leave their keys in the trunk of their car with no way to get them out, because Fast Freddy showed up in less than 1/2 hr. and solved my problem in less than 10 min. Drove into Oceanside from LA the previous Friday afternoon to ride Bike the Coast on Saturday. Bike was locked to the rack on the back of my car, but the lock was jammed and I couldn't get the bike unlocked. I called AAA, and they referred me to D&N. So at 4:30p, I called D&N and Michelle was very helpful and friendly. She asked me to drive in because it was end of the day and gave detailed directions to the shop. When I got there she and the tech took good care of me. The tech (sorry, I forgot his name) was able to pop the lock in less than 5 minutes. I was so sure that I wouldn't be able to do the ride. But their professionalism, great attitude and quick work changed that outcome. What a life saver! I highly recommend their service!!! read more
