Contacted Bill after reading Yelp reviews. We wanted to change the look of our front door hardware and upgrade our deadbolt. Bill asked for some pictures and got back to us very quickly with a reasonable price. Scheduled the job 3 days out. He arrived on time wearing appropriate mask. Showed us the new hardware, it was exactly what we wanted in color. He spent about an hour and half replacing the old hardware on screen door and front entry door; added an upgraded dead bolt. Very professional, price was as quoted, and he cleaned everything up. Will definitely use him again. Oh, he made us an extra key set for our daughter when we mentioned she would hold a spare key for us. Rating 5 stars! read more

We had best experience dealing with Bill! We needed a couple doors rekeyed. He responded right away with a detailed quote and had the best prices. He was able to come within 24 hours and was punctual and knowledgeable during his visit. He wore a mask an entire time to adhere to COVID policies. Would highly recommend Bill for any of your locksmith/key needs! read more

I called during an emergency and he came through with the quickness. Friendly service and you can tell that he's careful when he sets down your components so that he doesn't cause cosmetic damage. He also told me it was cheaper to get keys from home depot, but we all know custom work is best work and they're only a bit more! He took his time to make sure all problems are taken care of and is flexible with DIY ways to counter issues with my lock. All in all, very professional and my household is satisfied. We will definitely go to him for business anytime we need a lock fixed. Or whatever else he can do, no doubt many things Thanks boss! read more

Great Service. I was locked out of my garage. Bill was on a job when I called. He asked about urgency of the problem. He texted me when he was on the way. Got in the garage in less than 5 minutes. Also took a look a a door for me. He was prompt, polite and did a great job. Honest . Quote he gave me before coming was the price (although little different than website price, which may need to be updated). I would use him again. read more

Upon recently losing the use of my front door, & not have needed a locksmith in many years, I chose based on location & rating/reviews on Yelp. Bill was prompt, courteous, reasonable, & professional. He solved the issue I was having with my deadlock & doorknob set without a need to order parts. His knowledge & expertise saved me more time & expense. He was also considerate during the process from initial phone call to completion of work. I will most definitely call again, & recommend, San Elijo Locksmith. read more

We had a messy eviction that took nine months to finally arrive on property to remove multiple tenants. It was a "tow yard" so there were numerous, numerous RVs and other vehicles and items with locks on the premises. The first day the sheriff said we would have to come back and bring a second locksmith! I had already arranged for Bill to be the first one. Bill arranged for a second locksmith and returned to the property for us two days later. In the meantime, he worked with the other locksmith to lessen the cost to us. We were in a position where Bill could have completely taken advantage of a situation he knew we had to complete quickly. Instead he worked with us, brought in a second, also excellent locksmith, and was able to quickly work with the sheriff to go through the various vehicles on the property to allow the eviction to proceed. His fee, as well as the fee for the second locksmith he brought in, was more than reasonable. They finished the work quickly which is imperative when you have the sheriffs on the property needing to get onto other work. I strongly recommend Bill for any locksmith need you may have. I will be calling him for follow up work we will need down the road. read more

Had a great experience! My call was answered right away, and the locksmith was able to come in that same day. He finished all the work within an hour or so, and I appreciated his patience and all the explanations. I was told about my options and given a quote before he started. Called Bill to re-key a front door. Bill was early and had it done in10 minutes. Fast efficient and courteous, highly recommend.

No fuss, no muss! Easy to schedule. Consistent communication. Immediate cost over the phone. On time arrival. Expeditious and expert removal & installation. The tech then accepted a personal check and was off in a cloud of dust! I had misplaced the only remote control to a separate/stand alone 1-car garage to which I never received/had a key. I have no idea if the charge ($95) was fair, standard or skewed but the newly installed secondary manual (key) lock on the garage appears to work well. Curiously enough, the service tech indicated that, while he is an experienced bona fide locksmith, he didn't know much about remote control garage opening/closing devices. After he departed, my wife and I figured out how to synch/pair and use our just purchased (Home Depot) universal garage remote controller. read more
