They came and fixed a malfunctioning fancy multi-deadbolt lock on short notice at the end of their day, which we really appreciated. Everything was perfect, except how they handled pricing. I don't think they work off of a fixed price list for their services. It seemed that they decided on pricing in the moment. We were originally given an estimate by text message which turned out to be a price to just show up. I should have asked them for final pricing as they were getting started, because at the end, they wanted to charge several hundred dollars for a fix that took less than an hour and required no equipment. They fixed the existing problem and oiled up the works a bit. Very minor work, albeit urgently needed. My fault for not being more diligent about discussing price when they got there. They should be more up front and honest about their pricing. Other than that, they are really nice, professional and friendly. I would consider using them again, but won't wait until they're done to ask about final pricing. read more

Wow. This company saved us from a miserable night and possibly missing our early morning flight! We locked ourselves out while taking the trash out around midnight while cleaning our apartment and packing before vacation. No phones, no car keys, nothing. Property manager didn't respond, but luckily our next door neighbors were up. They helped us try to contact "24/7" locksmith companies, but all of them said "we'll call you back" and took so long only to reply with "how does 7am work?" I contacted Abba to get a quote for changing 3 door locks for our new house. Rob was very quick to respond to my email inquires. We were still in the escrow process so I did notify him that we wouldn't need to change the locks for another few weeks. Meanwhile, my husband and I were traveling and Rob messaged me on Yelp to ask about services. I did indicate that we needed the locks changed within a week and he gave me quotes immediately. If you're a Yelper, then you get a deal. If you're a Yelp Elite, you'll get a better deal! Rob charges a travel fee (which all locksmiths do), then per lock and then per key. I scheduled an appointment and Rob was timely and ready to work. I came home during my lunch hour and everything was done in 45 mins. We have a "smart" lock on our front door which is computerized and he was able to change the lock on that pretty quickly. I would definitely recommend Abba Locksmith and Rob. Stumbled across Abba locksmith while searching for a company that installs floor safes. Gave them a call based on good reviews, however, customer service couldn't have been farther from that. My request for information was met with.."well why did you choose an in ground?" Frankly, none of your business, but that was my choice.
