Anna-Leigh L. Our sliding glass door broke and I was leaving the country. I needed it fixed ASAP. I called Abba on a Sunday morning at 9:15 ( Thanksgiving weekend ) within 45 minutes Rob from Carlsbad was here and had it repaired and was out the door! It doesn't get any better tan that! In the past we had a guy who had to order parts on the same type of door, and it took three weeks for the other company, I won't mention the name. I highly recommend Abba and especially Rob!!!!!! THE BEST FAST POLITE EFFECTIVE SERVICE and reasonably priced too. read more

Highly recommend. We are staying in a rental in Carlsbad Village and the front door lock broke on a Friday afternoon. I called Abba Locksmith and spoke with Rob. He asked me to send a video of the broken lock, and immediately texted me his # so I could do so. He was extremely prompt and responsive over text, and we set a time to meet the following morning. He arrived right on time, and worked diligently to fix the lock. Was pleasantly surprised that the estimate he provided was exactly what he charged me. read more

Round 2: We had to call Rob back ... 2 weeks later ... Why? Because the dudes AWESOME (we had our new house key go missing, so to be safe we contacted Rob on Saturday to only have him arrive 15 minutes later for another round of house keys. Outstanding response time and fantastic locksmith expertise for sure. Thank you Rob! Round 1: Rob with ABBA Locksmith is fantastic! We recently moved into our new home, of which we been meaning to change the locks. My wife did a Yelp review to find ABBA Locksmith this morning, so we sent Rob a message about 8 a.m. which he responded immediate and by 11 a.m. he was at our home swiftly changing the 4 locks to new keys. Thank you Rob for your quick response, immediate service, and professionally re-key project for us. read more

Robert has tried to contact me to rectify by calling 3 times and coming to my house and leaving a hand written note. He and his family tried to get me to remove this post and were very aggressive about it. The DV had nothing to do with the locks and he knows this. I actually had to call the police to get this guy to stop contacting me when I wouldn't remove the post. read more

Updated Review: Immediately after my three star review below, the owner contacted me and offered to resolve anything I was not satisfied with. The very next day he was here, exactly when he said he would be, and had the lock working flawlessly. On top of that, he even gave me $20 of the service fee back! Clearly they care about getting the job done right, and I would not hesitate to recommend Abba Locksmith. Initial Review: I called Abba about a broken front door lock and they said they would send someone out shortly. The gentleman that arrived claimed to be an independent contractor. He was a really nice guy and sort of fixed the lock--it works but not particularly well. I was surprised by what they charged ($120) considering it was just one lock and I recently had an entire house rekeyed for $150. I wouldn't complain about the price if I had a flawlessly functioning lock, but it's still not perfect. read more

Robert was responsive, understood quickly what I needed and was here the next day to provide the perfect deadbolt/key matching solution. On time, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and quick. Yay! read more

I had a new mailbox that arrived with no key. I asked him over the phone if he could create a key, he said he could and if not he could change the lock. Upon arrival, he set the mailbox on the ground and its stainless steel, I had to prepare a surface where it would not get scratched, he acted annoyed by me pointing out it could get scratched and even said the mailbox will get damaged being outside anyway. When he said it was done, locks changed, I noticed that the new lock did not allow the mailbox to seal and be weather protected. He then said he could align it. After a second try, I told him that maybe it was a loss for both of us, as his attempts were damaging the mailbox and I would like to try to recover my money by return it. He then got visibly upset and said he would try again. After every time he said it was fixed, I pointed out it was not and it was now even more damaged, still please give me the old lock and it is a loss for both of us. At that point, he called me unreasonable, he was angry and I was glad I did not invite him into my home, he was working outside. He removed his new lock never replaced with the original one or gave it to me, left without saying anything. Even after I sent him three text messages, he did not return the original lock. I don't recommend him for not being able to simply create a key or being able to say he could not do the job and his behavior was definitely too angry for the situation, no matter how calm I remain he was visibly angry and kept calling me unreasonable. I was not going to be intimidated to accept an inadequate job. Be safe, never use his services. read more

Super fast, responsive. Amazing. Reasonable quote for after hour request. Local. Thank you!

Came early the next day (Saturday!) for minor locksmithing of a latch mechanism that the handyman could not fix. A separate mechanism not connected to the door lock which was fine so could get in and out anyway. Had all parts in his truck for a nonstandard fixture, the repair is better functioning than the builder's original. Good value for what I was charged. read more
