Beautiful ambiance and modern vibe. Great speaker system, decor, seating! Staff friendly and…read moreattentive! We arrived and you have to be a regular as all front doors are locked and the back exit door which says "exit only" is the entrance. Huge menu, pricey for this area with $40 entree options although half of items on it not available. Crab cakes, not available. We had chicken and shrimp tacos and they were delicious! Good size, flour tortillas, great flavor. They came in plastic to go containers like fast food with eat in prices at $9 for 3 and not dine in "ultra lounge " food. Took 35 minutes for our tacos to arrive. We chalked it up to quality takes time! Drinks were flowing, karaoke was in full throttle and the sound system was bumpin. The local talents were incredible! Then naturally after drinks and food you have to use the restroom. Both toilets didn't work. One for men one for women. This cut our evening short and it was time for the bill. Surprise! Our cvs 2 foot bill arrived. For each Tito's there were three line items, so if you have 4 in your group you'll have 12 lines that say Tito's. This was perplexing to say the least. Why were we being charged triple? It was explained but still left us feeling like the disclosure should have been up front. They automatically make everything 3 shots. They charged $3 per shot so $9 a drink. These are Phoenix big city prices like we're used to, not expected in this neighborhood with the plastic cup drinks but "ultra lounge" in the name should tell you something. The name on yelp is incorrect. No longer Bistro. Now "ultra lounge ", aka full fancy prices without fancy dishes or working toilets. Clarifying also the drinks all come in plastic cups. Not glass. I have a pet peeve with plastic cups and liquor at places that market themselves as high end. We weren't asked how many shots we wanted. We just received our drinks as triples and were triple billed. We may have made a different decision had we been given the option up front. Shame on us for not getting pricing and expectations set up front. So for 3 people, eating tacos, drinking, being merry the bill came to $129. Ouch. A little mini Scottsdale without the restrooms or food on real plates to match and with plastic cups. Did I mention the tips is automatically added regardless of party size? We were 3. So they get theirs regardless of service. Keep that in mind when reviewing your bill. Have fun! Just beware if you're a woman, the bathroom May not be operational and get pricing up front to prevent the rude awakening we experienced. Cheers!

I was craving a calzone, so I finally tried Congins after hearing good things. I placed my order…read moreonline and the worker was friendly and helpful. Decided to go with a calzone with pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom, which came to $12. I also got some chicken fingers. The total bill was $21.50 and they told me 35 minutes. I was a little put off by the customer service when I got there. They have a pick up/order window outside. There were two cars in the line with one person waiting for an order they just placed when there. I called to see if I could come in to pick up my order since it was already placed and ready and the same girl who took my order was kind of rude on the phone and told me no, I had to get in line and wait. It was a cold night and I just didn't want to have my food get cold. Luckily, when I got in line someone came out and asked me about my order and went to see if it was ready, I was able to give him my card and receive my order pretty quickly, but I didn't like that notion. The chicken fingers were basic. Maybe not frozen but not like hand breaded or anything. They tasted fine though. My calzone was a good size and pretty cheesy. It also came with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. All very good.

Biggest downside is that my food took over two hours to arrive by DoorDash. The order sat at…read more"received" for too long which I hope is because the restaurant was busy. Lemon mascarpone cake had chilled lemony mascarpone cream strips fixed between dry dense pound cake-like cake layers. Disappointing. The peanut butter greens were delicious! They were like a nice collard green and sautéed onion mixture but jazzed up and made creamed but with peanut butter but not overwhelmed by an obvious peanutty flavor. The chicken thigh was boneless which was not at all written on the DoorDash menu and very disappointing as I wanted a bone-in piece of juicy fried chicken rather than the spicy boneless large chicken tender with dry hard breading that I got. It was also not advertised as being spicy and I don't handle spicy food at all so that was a waste. It came with a mystery sauce that smelled like sweet n sour but tasted immediately painful (spicy) so I ditched it. The reason they got so many stars was because the oxtail is a five star entree. It was a huge amount of juicy fall off the vertebrae meat and so wonderfully salty and savory that I ate it standing up right where I opened it! Delicious! The onion rings were dollar store quality clearly heated from frozen gummy round circles of crap and are not worth writing about or or purchasing. Overall this place is totally hit or miss. Order the unique international items like the peanut butter greens and oxtail but spare yourself from the terrible quality of the gas station-level food items like onion rings, cake, and the long list of candy and miscellaneous stuff they hawk on the DoorDash menu.
