They really fell off. The pizza was pretty pricey but I went with it because of the memories I have about this pizza. Boy was I wrong. The pizza missed the mark entirely! I added sausage, pepperoni and banana peppers and it was still bland. It was so flavorless my son didn't even eat it. I used to love this place as a kid, but I doubt I'll return.

I had never had Chicago deep style pizza before and my girlfriend wanted me to try it. She had trouble finding a place that had the real deal. Most chains just don't make the cut. They are no where close. Then someone from the online group NEO Foodies mentioned that Congin's has a great Chicago deep dish pizza. Bingo! We have a winner! So last night my GF ordered us a pizza. What happens when you get there is you drive up to the window. You've already paid online so all you have to do is pick it up. At the window, you ask if it's ready or not. If it is, they give it to you and off you go. If not, you park and they bring it to your car when it's ready. If you haven't ordered yet, you can order and pay at the window and then park. The staff all had masks on. Now let me tell you about the pizza - or shall I say the most divine pizza I've ever had and I am a very picky pizza eater. (Say that 10 times fast!) I've included a couple of photos for you to salivate over. There was the perfect amount of everything in this pizza. I was only able to eat one and a half slices and I was full. So I get another one and a half slices today for lunch. There are six slices total in the 12 inch pie. One slice of this is like three slices of a standard pizza pie. I like to think of this as a pizza lasagna. Maybe this is a New England thing. One of my GF's other friends from New Englad thinks the same thing about true Chicago deep dish Pizza. Either way, I'm a believer now and am cannot wait to try some.of the other items on the menu. This looks to be a family owned business as opposed to a chain so I'm much more inclined to support it than a chain. They are open Mon- Sat. Check them out!

The pizza from Congins is the only Pizza I eat. I really don't eat cheese pizza but Congins is the only pizza place I would eat it from. It's amazing.

What do you get when an OG and a GOAT have a baby? It's a Congins' Sausage Deep Dish. The staff is super friendly - right now with COVID 19 they were mask on and still smiling - they have a drive thru pick up window and delivery so you choose how to nosh as super delicious fare is just the norm. I took a half day for work to try and do the zoo with my masked up twins & little guy and by the time I hit the parking lot to load in home all I could think about was making a detour on 185th and Nottingham to indulge in some lets make Chicago jealous sausage nom fest. I have to admit I caved and ate it in the car bc I couldn't resist the smells of fresh tomato, romano and basil wafting over the kids chicken nuggs. Thank you for always being the best and proving old school family owned made fresh never goes out of style.

We had pizza delivered. It was fantastic. Some of the best sauce I have ever had. A little spice, but not too much.

Coming into the store there was a cute counter by the window if you did decide to sit inside and eat. We came all the way from Kent for the pizza and wanted to try a slice before we left for home so my boyfriend ate a slice in the parking lot really quick. An employee (possibly the owner) came out with napkins and offered us to sit inside. We declined as we had to leave but the man graciously went inside and brought us out cold water bottles for our drive home! It was such a thoughtful gesture. Now onto the pizza. It was delicious! We ordered a regular pepperoni pizza and the white Neapolitan style pizza. It wouldn't let me add pineapple to my pizza online, which was fine because it didn't need it, the pizza was so good! My boyfriend loved his pepperoni pizza and I also enjoyed my Neapolitan style white pizza. It had a great garlicky flavor and was crispy on the crust. Will definitely be back to try the margarita pizza next! So if you're looking for a great pizza with hospitality I recommend coming to Joe De's!

If you check out my reviews, you'll see that I've sampled pizzas in more than one state and more than one country, including Italy. I've sampled many types of crusts and sauces. While the crust here is fine (not the best), the sauce is repulsive. My daughter said "Dad, this area is heavily populated with people from Eastern Bloc countries," to which I responded "If they like their pizza sweet, so be it. But I certainly don't." I understand that there are plenty of pizza styles, including the Greek version, which includes cinnamon on occasion. Yuck. This place is called Napoleon's Pizza, and they claim to conquer pretty much everything, from your pizza craving to the whole town of Parma. Indeed, Napoleon was an Italian dude who was born in France. His conquering skills were excellent, until his greed resulted in the deaths of thousands of soldiers who froze to death. All of that to say, I might've named this place Napoli's Pizza (since Napoli is the birthplace of the pizza we know today). But the sweet sauce here is an abomination, so maybe 'Napolean's' is more appropriate after all.

The food I ordered the anchovy margherita pizza and it was a solid 9.5/10. Easily one of the closest pizzas I've had in the U.S. to the authentic Roman-style pizzas I remember. The only minor criticism -- and honestly not really their fault -- was that the anchovies tasted slightly canned, giving a bit more fishiness than the fresh anchovies commonly used in Italy. The service One of the owners, Annie, felt like the Italian nonna welcoming you into her home. Warm, thoughtful, conversational and constantly making sure everyone was taken care of. That hospitality elevated the entire experience. The atmosphere The restaurant is smaller and lively, so it can get pretty loud, especially on a Saturday night. The music was a tad louder than I personally prefer, but I also think it helps balance out the constant buzz of conversation happening at every table. The wait My friend and I arrived around 6:30 PM on a Saturday and the wait was about an hour and a half -- which is wild for a pizza place, but also says everything about how popular it is. Worth it? If you're craving authentic Italian pizza, absolutely. Overall The food alone makes the noise and wait worthwhile, and the hospitality makes you want to come back. I'd absolutely return the next time I'm in Cleveland.

We opted for the arugula salad and rione salad for the table and the salads were honestly delicious. For pizza, we ordered the larger size sausage pie (red sauce, mozzarella, roasted peppers, sautéed onions, garlic and parmesan). Thin crust with a good bite that holds its integrity pretty decently. Overall, this os probably one of the better pizzas in Cleveland.

That's how I came across Edison's Pizza, which had some great reviews. We ordered a large sausage and pepperoni, and the pickup time was about an hour. After a little trial and error, we finally figured out the pizza shop is actually inside a grocery store. Strange setup, but we eventually found it--and honestly, it was worth both the wait and the free scavenger hunt. The pizza itself was excellent. Great ratio of ingredients, not thin crust and not deep dish--soft in the center with a crispy, crunchy edge. It does come in on the higher side at nearly $30 for a large, but considering the quality and flavor, the value is still there.
