Zina's Greek Street Food is my favorite local Greek cuisine. I picked up spontaneous lunch here…read moretoday. This restaurant is like a year round Greek festival with considerably tastier food. It's really SO GOOD! Forget any other gyro you had, this is THE gyro. The place has a casual, welcoming vibe, clean and bright. There's a very IG worthy Greek mural inside. There are a few very comfortable tables to dine in inside and outside. Most guests take their meals to go (you can also pre-order for pick-up via Uber Eats). This eatery is always quiet and peaceful. Employees are always super friendly and attentive. Food is always prepared super quickly, took maybe 5 minutes this time. You can tell that there's a very high level of commitment to quality and good ingredients here. I ordered Classic Lamb Street Gyro (comes with fries), Lemon Rice Pilaf, and Zoe's Rice Pudding. Lamb Street Gyro was incredible as always. The lamb was perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed into a soft, slightly chewy homemade pita. What really stands out to me every time is the balance -- the meat, the fresh tomato and onion, plus tzatziki on the side. They really get gyros right every single time! Accompanying fries were perfectly seasoned and fried. I immediately ate all of them. You can order fries on your gyro or separately. I prefer to munch on them separately but on the gyro also often hits the spot. Rice pilaf was flavorful but unfortunately I got the feeling it wasn't fully cooked through. That didn't stop be from eating all of it. I devoured my Zoe's Rice Pudding. It's perfectly creamy and has such a good amount of cinnamon. I wish that I would have paired it with coffee but it was my first time experiencing it, and I couldn't stop eating it. I'm telling you, try the pudding. I was very happy with my meal. Also, I've tried other meals at this place in the past including Chicken Street Gyro, and Baklava. One of the guests at the restaurant was very talkative and mentioned that they make really good burgers (daily special). If you're feeling adventurous, you can always build your own bowl or build your own platter. Parking is a bit complex. Enter the parking lot from the right of the restaurant to park close otherwise you'll see Do Not Enter signs preventing you from entry. If you love Mediterranean food or just want something fast, fresh, and a little different from the usual, Zina's is absolutely worth a stop. I'm already planning to go back and trying baklava cheesecake. If you love Zina's, check out other establishments by the same owner - Chicken Ranch next door and Market on Lee.

The build-your-own bowl was pretty expensive at $19 with lamb meat, luckily the size was okay. Of course it would have been cheaper had I gone in-store. Feta cheese and kalamata olives were extra, but I had those at home, so I didn't add them. There was a good amount of lamb meat in the bowl and the pita was huge. I got the tzatziki yogurt sauce, as well as the Zina vinaigrette. The vinaigrette is thicker than one would expect, and garlicky, but I enjoyed it. The lamb wasn't especially seasoned, but it was good. Overall solid lunch choice, and I have leftovers for dinner.

Things were good (until they weren't ). Grilled octopus was AMAZING, should have ordered an extra one for dinner! Now, ordered the bronzino à la plancha and the bouillabaisse de marseille. Looked awesome. The bronzino was soo salty my mother couldn't take it so it was sent back. The bouillabaisse was very salty from a few bites, but I didn't want to have to send two dishes back, so I let mine sit. Whomever the chef was that night was either just tossing salt everywhere, don't give a damn, or just doesn't know how to season food and that's not acceptable for any restaurant people are spending their money. Management that night, was very gracious, professional, and apologetic. They brought another bronzino dish and I just took mine home hoping the flavor would settle and I could Dr. it up (shouldn't have to do this from a restaurant of this caliber and should have requested a new dish ). Well, the dish could not be saved by any means so I called management the next day. Whomever the manager was on duty (a male) was rude and gross! I explained that I had barely touched it and would bring it back and would appreciate a refund b/c why would I want the same dish you have proven you have not mastered or even made palpable. I was told "he was not going to give me a refund" and they would (reluctantly) make another one. So, I drive ALL THE WAY back over to the restaurant from Shaker Hts. the next day with the salt dish. They made another one and when I got home it TASTED EXACTLY THE SAME, maybe worst. I was so disgusted with the food, wasting gas and time, and the manager's attitude, as if I did something. And what French restaurant doesn't have rabbit and foie gras on the menu!?! I came all the way from out of town to treat my parents and that's the food and behavior received!?! Won't be back!

They've even remembered me, which always makes the experience feel a little more personal. One of my favorite things there is the espresso martini. It is without a doubt that this restaurant is very well done, with a clean/refined/comfortable atmosphere. Catering to all points of the day, it can accommodate ladies brunch to an anniversary dinner without having to change a thing. The service is also INCREDIBLE. The kindest people you could want taking care of you, they do not hover and yet know exactly when to pop in to make sure food and drink are flowing. And let's talk about this food and drink. Now I completely believe some things may be down to preference and tastes (the menu does have some twists as the complexity of each dish is admirable) but I can highly recommend whatever you land on as they do craft exceptional seasonal dishes.

The sweet Thai chicken had the perfect balance of flavor, the wings were on point, and the steak tacos were packed with flavor. The parking area was extensive so we had no problems in that department. So we went with the family for lunch. The young man that waited on us, Ryan, did a great job. He handled 10 people all by himself and he never missed a beat. A really BIG thank you to Ryan. The menu was reasonably broad so there was something for everyone. And the food was good lunch food... well prepared. You can imagine how much noise a party of 10 can create. That added to the normal noise of the establishment made hearing a little tough, but we handled it. After the meal Ryan made us a fresh pot of coffee, which was excellent. So, all-in-all, things went well and I would return if the need for that table should reoccurr.
