A special roll needs to be used for this called a kimmelweck roll. A kimmelweck (or kummelweck) roll is a crunchy, Kaiser-type bread roll topped with coarse salt and aromatic caraway seeds, primarily known for defining the Buffalo, New York, "beef on weck" sandwich. Originating from 19th-century German immigrant traditions, they are usually filled with roast beef and soaked in au jus. The sandwich was loaded with juicy flavorful roast beef. The bun had caraway seeds and coarse salt all over the top of it which complimented the beef deliciously. It also had a horseradish sauce on the sandwich, so good. It was served with tasty fries and two little cups of au jus. I would definitely order this again.

Both were served with a choice of two sides (cauliflower, fresh green beans, rice pilaf, garlic mashed). All of the sides were very tasty. The chicken was cooked perfectly and really delicious. I'd order it again. The ribeye was flavored really well, but a little undercooked for medium -- however, that didn't really bother him too much because the flavor was good. There were bits of it that were grizzly, but overall, very good. We finished our meals with an ice cream sundae; the perfect blend of vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, and whipped cream! We are excited to go back to try pizza night (we saw some pizza go out and it look deeeeelicious!), burger night, prime rib night, and maybe even another buy one, get one half off night! Seriously folks, this bar is an embarrassment of riches. I only wanted to have one beer, but I left with three. Two I enjoyed on site, Hill Farmstead's Susan and the brewery's Society and Solitude #13. These are heavy hitters, and even just two five ounce pours put me in a place where I felt it would be imprudent to have a third. Fortunately for me, the crowler machine was fully functional, and I was able to grab an oil can of Weldwerks Xtra Xtra Broccolli to go. Beer names are stupid, but they will not dissuade me from drinking something delicious. Sadly, Dave wasn't there, so I didn't get to say hi, or shake his hand, or thank him for his hard work of managing such an epic tap list. When you walk in, you pass through a curtain and are immediately greeted by a coat attendant who takes your coats, which instantly gives the place an upscale feel. The ambiance is well done, with soft lighting and nice background music. It is on the smaller side and dimly lit, but that is clearly intentional. The menus actually light up, which was a unique and thoughtful touch that fits the atmosphere perfectly. We had reservations and were seated right away. And on top of its deliciousness, this is a value to boot. Personally, the lamb doesn't quite do it for me, since it's more of a ground lamb product than whole pieces of meat. But when you are a place that is building a reputation on value, ground lamb product isn't a deal breaker. It just helps to know that going in. After writing the review I ended up throwing the food out as I realized that it was not edible, not fresh and had so much salt that I almost choked. I'm quite confident that this place may have decent food, but what I received clearly was not made that day and considering that the food arrived 45 minutes late - I'm assuming they gave me the previous days reheated and re-seasoned food. I will not spend another dime here. Sorry. I hope this was just a singular instance, and hope they can take this constructively but I wasted $20 and had to go out somewhere else to get food which completely defeated the purpose of ordering food to be delivered.
