Our group of six had a great time here! The building has a historic charm that made the wait (about 15 minutes) more enjoyable, and the outdoor line even had a fun game to keep us entertained. We passed another ice cream shop to try this one after a tour guide mentioned it was among the best in the country according to a recent news article. While my two-scoop cone definitely hit the spot on a warm August afternoon, my daughter pointed out that the article's author might not have sampled some of the fantastic dairy stores and ice cream shops we have back home in the Midwest. I'd have to agree--I've had better in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Still, this is a charming stop with tasty treats and a fun vibe--worth a visit if you're in the area!

This place is so cute and has a lovely seating area. Even with a line they moved very quick, we almost passed it up due to the line but they were fast! The ice cream its self was delicious! Our group has soft serve and homemade, both were equally delicious.

omg so I stopped at Mr. G's in Gettysburg and like... the ice cream actually matched my vibe for once. the homemade stuff is so creamy and the waffle cone was perfect, not that sad soggy mess most places give you. i got the prettiest scoop and it looked so good i had to take like 20 pics before i even ate it. the little historic building and the outdoor seating made the whole thing feel aesthetic which is honestly rare. staff was fine, didn't mess up my order, and i left looking cute and satisfied so yeah. if you're in gettysburg just go, your feed will thank you.

The best ice cream this side of town! Love the chocolate covered coffee beans! Brownie pieces were bite-sized chunks, not crumbles. Can't wait to try the orange cream next time.

Move over Haagen-Dazs and Baskin-Robbins because we have a new winner! I don't know who Mr G is, but I assume he's an ice cream man from the old days. He makes the best ice cream! The locals love it, and tourists love it too. I had the regular vanilla ice cream with a waffle cone, Hubby had his cookie dough ice-cream. I think they tweak it daily, so everyday comes different flavors. The service was good, and the young, happy campers served ice cream. Ice creams do make people very happy. Well, I'm so glad this place exists, so the next time I return, I'll try more ice cream! We arrived late before they closed, but people still come here at night and line up for the sweets after their meals. After getting the ice cream, you can sit on the bench to eat it or take it to go. It's a house-like corner store and quite a nice-sized ice cream shop offering many flavors.

A very famous spot for dessert in Gettysburg. And, for great reason. The Place definitely makes quality ice cream, has a decently diverse menu with nice specials, and the wait times are reasonable. Quite efficient here. I got to try out their cookies and cream milkshake. That milkshake was very good! I could barely snap a picture in time before I finished everything. It was creamy and had plenty of cookie chunks. A fantastic price as well, and a nice portion. Someone else had a great pumpkin ice cream of some sort, which I thought sounded unique and very tasty. All in all, this spot was great. I really enjoyed it. It's a classic, and I would love to return the next time I'm in Gettysburg.

Don't bother with vanilla shakes or malts. Made with soft serve instead of real ice cream. Disappointing.

The help was very kind and seemed to take pride in this darling little cafe style restaurant. My husband wanted a coffee and he really enjoyed it. I liked how the restaurant offered sugar free coffee syrup. The restaurant had a crepe menu, a puffy pancake menu and maybe another one. So much to choose from and unique offerings. I was impressed by the extensive menu. It's also very creative! I felt like the value was there for the money too. I enjoyed my experience so much I mentioned it to my son and daughter. They both went there later in our trip and really enjoyed the menu and the experience. Crepes are a unique not easy to find treat! My family also enjoyed the food and experience here too! Keep up the great work! This is a well run business with made to order delicious fresh food. Whenever I come back to Gettysburg I'll definitely visit again!

The homemade lemon curd is phenomenal. Not too tart, not too sweet. We really enjoyed the big on fig, which is something you won't find anywhere else. Whether you prefer sweet or savory, you'll find something to love here. Vegan options available as well.
