The young owners took an 1800s dilapidated building and turned it in to a lovely destination. The ice cream was amazing!! The time in line gives you an opportunity to decide which of the several delicious flavors available you want;) I had two scoops in a bowl and went with sea salt cookie crunch and one scoop of the dairy free coconut milk based peanut butter crunch. The dairy free one was honestly my favorite. It had so much more flavor than the sea salt cookie crunch. They were both good, don't get me wrong, but I would not hesitate to get the peanut butter crunch. My dad had the chocolate marshmallow ice cream in a malt shake. The marshmallow flavor really came through and they were not light with the malt flavor. He loved it. There are plenty of booths available for seating inside and several tables outside. What can I say? My wife and I are both suckers for great ice cream, and this location checks off all of the boxes, and then some. The different and unique flavors of ice cream they have are always incredible. The milk shakes and malts are to die for. Not literally, of course. The building itself is absolutely adorable, and the inside layout is very nice. Service: I went to Half-Pint Creamery because I had read a post on their Facebook page advertising lactose-free ice creams and also frozen yogurts. As I am lactose-intolerant, I was very happy to see this and so I eagerly went soon after. When I arrived at the store, it was busy, but the staff did move pretty efficiently. However, when my turn came, I inquired about the aforementioned lactose-free ice cream and yogurts and I was told in a very cold tone, "we only serve REAL ice cream here." As my body cannot process the regular ice creams, I responded that I wouldn't be able to purchase any because of my condition and I had come specifically because of the Facebook advertisement. I was instantly dismissed without so much as an apology since I wouldn't be making a purchase. While I have heard that their regular ice creams are delicious, I was very upset by their rude treatment and do not plan to return, whether or not they ever do actually serve items I can eat. I was very excited about this shop, especially because I love supporting local businesses. I am very disappointed at the reception I was given.
