LOVE this place! I'm not a big fan of ice cream in general unless it's actually good quality, and this stuff was creamy, fresh, and didn't make my stomach hurt the way the lower quality ice creams do. My favorite part about this place is their homemade doggy icecream biscuits made with peanut butter! Both of my dogs loved them!! It's nice that they had outdoor seating so we could enjoy our frozen treats with our dog. read more

No shade on Mr. Gs and Cone Sweet Cone, but Half Pint Creamery is in a different league. The flavor choices are incredible. There had to be 20+. Add in the special toppings on top of the Gelato bases the aesthetics were incredible! We used to live in York and I would go here frequently because they make dog ice cream treats! They are awesome and our German Shepherd loves them! I got a 6 pack yesterday! I got a 2 scoop dish! Fluffernutter and Peanut Butter Egg! Incredible! They even place a waffle cone chip in your dish! No seating indoors at the Gettysburg location, but they had a few tables outside to sit at! The two girls serving up ice cream were phenomenal! Asked us about free samples, gave us recommendations, and we're very good at their jobs! The portions are definitely generous! read more

This was my first visit of the season to Half Pint Creamery on a sunny, 63 degree, but windy day in late March. Upon arrival there were only 2 vehicles in the parking lot, likely driven by the 2 young employees, however a couple arrived several minutes later. I chose a scoop each of Black & White and Fudge, both no sugar added with a small bag of cone fragments and a 20% tip for $14.30. The 2 young women behind the counter were pleasant and helpful. I ate outdoors in the sunlight in contradistinction to summer where I would hide from the scorching sun! It is my understanding that later this summer they will be moving their location north several hundredfeet on the same side of the road. The building construction is well underway, so this ought be nice. They have an assortment of flavors with typically 2 no sugar added choices, seemingly typical of ice cream shops, some of which have no options for those who need to be mindful. Check ot out! read more

I was pleasantly surprised this place wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be. They have a peaceful location outside the downtown area and that makes this place more enjoyable. There are no bathrooms or indoor seating. They do have outdoor seating. However, if it rains, there's really no other option but to sit in the car to eat ice cream. They have very unique flavors and interesting combinations. They have no dairy and no sugar options. Some have an additional surcharge though. The people here are nice and they were attentive when I was here. read more

There are lots of really great ice cream shops in Gettysburg, but despite the competition this is definitely one of the best. They have fun, unique flavors like butter toffee, carrot cake, and apple pie. Plus they give you a complimentary waffle chip with your ice cream and plastic cone holders. Pricing is reasonable and ample parking. We will definitely be back soon! read more

S'mores This was my favorite! Marshmallow-y ice cream with specks of Graham crackers and a fudge swirl. Absolutely delicious! Butter Pecan Buttery and creamy! I love how thick and creamy the ice cream was. It's cute that they weigh the cups to make sure you have consistent scoops. Waffle cone piece was a nice garnish. Local cows makes this place great! It gives me Penn State vibes. I don't know what they feed the cows out in PA to make the ice cream that dang good. Looks like an office building, make sure you look for the road sign so you don't pass it by. #CynBitesThisFeedsMySoulStatus read more

Nice creamery with 2 dozen unique flavors to choose from! The Cookies and Cream is divine with cookies in every bite. Hubby enjoyed the Mint Chocolate Chip with fudge and marshmallows. The house-made crunchy waffle cone is delicious with a genius leak-proof cup at the bottom, brilliant! There's no indoor seating with some outdoor tables. It's a bummer there's no restroom otherwise it would have been the perfect pit stop on our trip! read more

Excellent ice cream!! We had moose tracks. It was delicious. So was every flavor we tasted. The little waffle cone piece in the cup was tasty. Locals recommended it as the best ice cream in Gettysburg and they were right. It was worth the short drive out of town. read more

Great ice cream. Amazing ice cream. But I assure you I am not paying almost $10 for a small milkshake. Changed the cups and made them smaller . Raised the prices. Good business decision. No thanks ! read more

This creamery was fantastic. You could instantly tell they make all of their own products based on how the ice cream was displayed. They had several unique flavors, such as cinnamon toast crunch, brownie batter, smore's, and blueberry, but also had traditional items such as cookies and cream and butter pecan. I opted for a single scoop of fudgy peanut butter which was to die for! The creaminess of this ice cream was beyond my expectations. The waffle cone piece was as fresh as it gets. A must try place if you are visiting Gettysburg! read more

Cute shop. Lots of flavors to choose from. I had sugar cookie and sea salt cookie crunch. Both were amazing. My son had chocolate marshmallow in a waffle cone. He said it was delicious. We also got a bag of broken waffle cone pieces (great idea!). The total was $11.74 a good price. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars are facility related. First, there's no public restroom. Second, the line to order doesn't permit distancing. We'll definitely stop next time we pass through Gettysburg. read more

Love that they have multiple delicious dairy free options! Will definitely be back again!

best ice cream I've ever had in my entire life, a ton of flavors, Nice woman working at the counter kept insisting we try flavors, The icecream was the perfect temperature, it was nice and creamy, didn't make me feel sick afterward, you need to go here it is worth it, and the prices aren't even that bad, I'd pay good money for something i will enjoy instead of something I won't enjoy. read more

Let me start by saying this might be my favorite place to get ice cream ever. The shop is nice and clean. Easy to read options. And LOTS of choices. The servers are very friendly. The actual ice cream is smooth and delicious. My girlfriend and I ended up here 2 nights in a row and would have been 3 if she was down here another day. Great flavor choices and they usually have something unique. Quantity of ice cream is good with fresh waffle cones. They need either an out door sink or wet wipes to clean sticky fingers. read more

This is my favorite ice cream place, full stop. We drive all the way down to Gettysburg from Mechanicsburg to enjoy it, then we always stock up for later! My favorite flavors are Peanut Butter Cookie Dough (all their PB flavors are incredible!!), Oreo Cookie, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Espresso... they're just all so good! Something that really makes this place stand out is how consistent it is. The ice cream is always the perfect temperature, and you don't get wildly different serving sizes like other places will do. Plus their homemade waffle cone is included in the price, so it is really affordable all things considered! The waffle cones are delicious, never stale, and they serve them in those plastic cone protectors so they are less likely to leak. For some reason this place has a 3.5 star average on Yelp right now. That seems absolutely bonkers to me. If you look at the bad reviews, they are related to the hours, not having a public restroom, and the service... not the quality of the ice cream. Yeah, they don't have a restroom. That seems fairly typical of the ice cream places I've been to. We've never had an issue with the service or the hours. Sometimes the place gets a little busy... just a sign that they are popular! Definitely worth a visit. Don't miss it and be sure to taste the PB ice creams! :) read more

Half-pint is good. Lots of flavors to choose from. I don't find the flavors to be very bold/flavorful, but that's just my opinion. This place has a HUGE following, which I never quite understood. The homemade waffle cones are really good. read more

Very tasty ice cream! It was hard to pick a flavor because they all looked so good. The texture was nice and creamy. And you can't beat the prices - we got two two-scoop cups and a three-scoop cone, all for $16. My only issue is that they did not require customers to wear masks inside and also were not controlling the number of people inside. There were lots of tables outside though, which was a nice plus. read more

Love the ice cream, BUT no public restroom?? My 3 year old grandson had to poop... They wouldn't let him use the bathroom! 3 years old! There was no way he could hold it until we got to the nearest bathroom. If you don't want the public using your bathroom at least get a jiffy john! read more

We rode up here with a group of biker friends specifically to get ice cream. What can I say, we dirty bikers love ice cream too. It's a gorgeous ride there. I had the Cinnamon Bun ice cream, and I'm not kidding when I say it just might be the best ice cream I ever had. The flavor was very bold and tasted just like...you guessed it...a cinnamon bun. I thought the prices were a tad higher than other places, but not enough to keep me from coming back. Can't wait to try other flavors! read more

Some of the best ice cream I've ever had! Their toffee flavor was great (I love toffee) and their vanilla was immaculate. You can judge a lot about an ice cream by it's vanilla, and this vanilla was, to repeat myself, immaculate. I would go again. Few such cases! Not many can compete! read more
