Bag of scallops, mussels, corn, prawns, and noodles
Sherry T.

Pretty good experience! I came here craving some seafood and came along with co-worker and her kid. I ordered 1/2lb of scallops, 1 pound of tiger prawns, and 1 pound of mussels. Also added two boiled eggs, sausages, corn and noodles. For drinks I ordered a watermelon margarita which was pretty good. Some sweet, a little spicy and it had a slice of watermelon on the side with chamoy. My co-worker ordered 1/2lb of king crab and 1/2 of mussels with sausage, corn, two boiled eggs and a side of rice. The portion I ordered was a little too much but I took the rest to go. It was pretty filling with the noodles and I had a lot of seafood left over. It really satisfied my seafood craving and service was great. Fernando was our server and was very friendly and accommodating. My co worker said her portion was just perfect and she was really satisfied.

I ordered from here when they first opened and everyone in the group disliked their food. We decided to give it another try because we love seafood and it's been a few years but unfortunately, not much has changed. The food is still flavorless and not worth it. The service wasn't great either but our waitress did let us try the sauces before deciding which ones we wanted on our food. Other than that, I'd say it was a lackluster experience.

I have been here twice in the last 2 months, both times have been such a great experience with great service. They have a good menu and love the option of the seafood combos. I saw that they now offer AYCE sea food at a flat right. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, I love that they have bench and table seating. For the warmer weather they also offer outside seating. Make this your go to for the spring and summer. Nothing beats good seafood on nice warm days.

Market Price (3/1/2025)

I wanted to give this restaurant another chance at the newer location but was throughly disappointed... again... The market prices were extremely high for the amount of food that was provided in the bag. The deep fried seafood was heavily battered, super oily, and practically tasteless. The waitress allowed us to taste all of the sauces prior to ordering which was great but they were all very underwhelming and bland. None of them had a truly unique flavor, which was sad. The menu had several typos throughout as well as had a couple price inconsistencies, making it hard to know what you were truly paying for. Also, there were some hidden charges not disclosed on the menu but was on our receipts. Given the Reno/Sparks area had a Boiling Crab and/or a Hot n' Juicy, Mr. Crab would quickly go out of business. Given you don't have a reference of what a seafood boil should taste like, you may love Mr. Crab, but in comparison, this would be at the bottom for me personally.

We visited this restaurant over the last week and had a wonderful dinner. We go to The Boiling Crab in Sacramento which we love so our expectations were high for this type of restaurant and Mr Crab didn't disappoint. Our server Julian provided us with the best service and explained the process. Everything is ala carte-you pick you seafood, sauces and sides. We shared a pound of snow crab and a half pound of tiger shrimp in lemon pepper sauce with a side of garlic bread. All were delicious and Julian provided us with wet naps, napkins, plastic gloves and bibs as it's a messy experience-but so fun! There is also a "washing station" to help cleanse your hands. They have a full bar and draft beer. Access to the restaurant is so easy and there's tons of parking since it's in a shopping center. Great dining experience!

Rogelio was an amazing server! He was very attentive and had the most positive attitude while also answering questions about the food. I had the fried shrimp and it was quite tasty. We went when it wasn't too busy so it was a nice and quiet experience. :)

We decided to check this place out on a whim because it was my mother's birthday and she wanted a seafood boil meal. The service was great! Everyone was super friendly. They even gave my mom an ice cream on the house because it was her birthday and it was seriously such a kind gesture of them :) The food in my opinion was pretty yummy! The shrimp wasn't over cooked or undercooked. I got the 1/2 pound of shrimp head on and it was more than enough. Their diablo sauce was delicious too. The only extra thing I added was more salt because I personally felt that it needed some more for my taste buds. I got it in medium hot and it was pretty spicy, even for me with my high tolerance for spice, so next time I will definitely go lower but overall I enjoyed the meal a lot :) the fries were amazing. Perfectly crispy, and the calamari was great as well!

My first time visiting this establishment was wonderful. Everything was clean, staff was courteous and the food was fantastic.

Look at this meaty mussel!!! DELICIOUS!

Did you see the size of my mussel?!?! I mean their mussels!! Delightfully delicious!! The bag that you can create to exactly how you want it is the best idea!! My Mom dislikes seafood and so they have super good chicken tenders and excellent fries for those folks!! STILL very affordable considering all the inflation!! Go check them out!

It is really yummy and the customer service is wonderful. Lawrence was at the door and helped me place my order. He was super helpful friendly and patient. I got my order to go. He brought it out very quickly. I also spoke to Cristal, Fernanda, and Fernando. They were also very friendly and answered all of my yelp questions. I got a side of cilantro lime boiled potatoes, a cup of clam chowder, and a cup of lobster bisque. I also got fried scallops and the fried lobster with cajun fries. It is all good. I will be back.

The fried chicken was easily a 10/10! Perfectly seasoned, crispy skin, and juicy, tender meat. The fried catfish was also amazing. Not overly oily, perfectly cooked, and honestly one of the best things we had. The baked beans were incredible too. So much flavor and nice and saucy. The ribs were a close second. Great flavor and they literally fell off the bone. A few sides missed the mark for me personally. The cornbread was super dry and looked and tasted almost like it had been dipped in the fryer. The rice and gravy was really under-seasoned and didn't have much flavor. And unfortunately, the mac and cheese was pretty underwhelming. It was very watery and lacked any flavor. But the lemon cake?! Moist, delicious, and the serving was HUGE. Definitely save room for dessert! Despite a few misses with the sides, I'd 100% come back for the fried chicken, catfish, ribs, baked beans, and that lemon cake. Great service, a welcoming space, and some seriously good Southern food!

You can wait to be seated or order takeout from the counter. The servers and staff were extremely friendly and treated you like a good friend they have known for years. Of course we started our meal with sweet teas. The tea was perfect and transported you directly to the south with every sip. As an appetizer we had the fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes were lightly battered, seasoned beautifully, and fried to perfection. The sauce that was served with them complemented them perfectly. For our mains, I had the shrimp basket with red beans and rice and my husband had the catfish plate with Mac-n-cheese and collard greens. I also ordered a side piece of fried catfish and a basket of fried okra. The catfish and the shrimp were both coated in the same light batter as the tomatoes. Like the fried green tomatoes, both the catfish on the platter and the shrimp were perfectly seasoned and cooked beautifully. The tartar sauce was rich and rich and creamy with just the right amount of tartness. The Mac-n-cheese was well seasoned and delicious, however the cheese sauce was thicker than what we prefer. The collard greens were perfection! My husband absolutely loves collard greens and is extremely picky on them yet he could not get enough of these! The red beans and rice were delicious. I would say that the balance and ratio was a bit off as the rice disappeared due to the amount of "sauce" from the dish making the bowl more of a soup. M&M seems like they can get pretty busy and can get backed up quickly both out front and in the kitchen. The servers were told at one point to wait to put in orders for a bit (it was about 20 min before they were told they could resume) and my piece of fish and my okra came out after we finished our meal (it was almost like the kitchen forgot about it-even though we asked about it 2 times). The okra was crispy and very lightly battered. We will definitely be returning, but will be making sure to give ourselves more time as this meal took us 2 hours from seating to getting the check.

This was my first time to Legends Bay Oyster & Sushi bar. We had some guests from the Bay Area and…read morethey wanted sushi. Since Legends was offering an all you can eat option and a buy two sushi rolls for $12.99, we decided to give Legends a try. Everyone had a couple of sushi rolls and I decided to sample different nigiri sushi so I can gauge the freshness and quality. Salmon, if not fresh (or as fresh as can be in Reno) can be oily and fishy. This wasn't it. It can tell it was previously frozen due to the texture. As fresh texture has more resistance when biting down vs previously frozen tends to be softer, less bounce when biting. But it was good or even better than some other local sushi offerings. Tako or boiled octopus, is almost never fresh caught / cooked at any restaurant other than Japan. Even in the Bay Area, Tako is usually bought cooked but not frozen. This is where it can affect the quality. If frozen, it can make the tako kind of stringy and mushy. When it's not frozen the tako is firm and slightly chewy. I can tell this tako travelled a little but it wasn't frozen. Unagi or grilled eel, is almost always purchased cooked by most restaurants other than what I've had in Japan. Similar to tako, it is usually shipped refrigerated but not frozen. All restaurants will serve unagi over rice with a drizzle of unagi sauce. The flesh should be tender and any bones will be super thin and not a problem to eat. There weren't any bones which is a plus. This unagi didn't appear to be previously frozen. We also has the edamame, which is tossed in garlic and salt with some oil. Very tasty on a simple dish. If cigarette smoke bothers you, there wasn't any in the restaurant but apparent everywhere in the casino, so plan ahead. The tables were about 30% capacity and even with that, the order to service gap was fairly long. Our server was pleasant and willing to explain how the player's card program worked. Would I come back for sushi here? Sure, but I better be hungry to get full value from the all you can eat.

Their menu has appetizers, starters, and of course sushi. You can do à la carte sushi or all you can eat ! Everything was super fresh and extremely good quality. Some of the rolls were a little heavy on the cream cheese but nothing too outrageous. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is due to a lack of quality service. We had to flag servers down multiple times for extra sushi sheets, water and table settings

Our family of 8 arrived here to a line that only continued to build. The line exited the building and began to wrap alongside the building. Seating here is first come first serve and are only designated by staff. Saving tables and sitting down prior to placing an order is a big no-no. BUT!! That didn't stop others from doing this anyhow. Let me start off by saying how chaotic this place is. This began from the initial line up to order and continued throughout the meal. Staff seemed flustered, overwhelmed, and moody. I'm not sure if the vibe of our visit would be considered "normal" to the staff and regulars but from my perspective looking in, it just seemed uncomfortably unorganized. As a forewarning to those who have never visited this establishment before, do your research and try to decide on what you would like to order prior to reaching the register area. Being prepared assists in quicker lines and you avoid looks of annoyance overall. Our family ordered a bunch of stuff: *THE REGGIE- hold the cheese & gravy *BLUEBERRY CORNMEAL PANCAKE - single *CORNMEAL PANCAKE- single *BUILD YOUR OWN BISCUIT - bacon, sausage, egg *Side order of EGG *Side order of BACON x2 *CHICKEN FRIED STEAK PLATE w/ BISCUIT *HASH BROWN, 2EGGS, + BACON *THE MONEYBALL *BEIGNETS Food came out at all different times. It was just unfortunate how one child in particular's meal came out at the very end when everyone was pretty much done with eating. The female staffer who brought over the dishes dropped plates on the table before scurrying off. At first I thought it was just a random occurrence but when it consistently happened, there was no way to justify that kind of service. Food was doable. The whole hype over Pine State Biscuits was simply that- JUST HYPE. The dining experience overall and vibe of the eatery was just not my scene. Kudos to those who genuinely enjoy the establishment but I'm gonna have to pass. I wouldn't openly waste my time or calories here.
