UPDATE: I was never disrespectful, but told them it was definitely an inconvenience to call 1 hour before my scheduled appointment and cancel, seeing that I literally waited the 4 hour with window which is given. I would definitely suggest calling more than 1 hour so that the insurance company can start looking for other venders right away. Being that it was nearly the end of the day when the tech cancelled, there was another 24 wait. I do understand that things happens. So take this as a lesson learned. 2nd update. To be clear; Mr. Clogged drain was the only company that cancelled and was actually a 2nd opinion appointed by the insurance. I was never rude and the new company that came out was great which he came out next day!! Please tell no lies on your responses and as I stated we'll both take this as a lesson learned for both parties to be more patient. It's okay to have bad reviews. Just have to make sure the good out weighs the bad and get your stars up. Nothing but love and peace. read more

Did an awesome job of re-piping my home. Thank you for the service you and your team provided.

Thank you Mr. Clogged Drain! Your technician Bo was absolutely wonderful in helping to repair our leaking toilet. I'm very happy that my warranty company sent our request to you. Although, it took a couple of tries to alleviate the issue, Bo was always available to assist us. I especially like the great communication from Bo, to let me know our place in his service request, and again for the anticipated ETA. I am adding your company to our preferred vendor list for upcoming projects we may have. Thank you again for excellent service! read more

LESS than one star. This sham of a business treats customers unprofessionally and disrespectfully. **DO NOT CALL THEM!! My home warranty company sent this vendor to my house to diagnose a simple leak under the kitchen sink. The technician walked into my house with no business card, no I.D., no toolbox, not even a pad or pen. He looked under my kitchen sink and diagnosed the issue in less than five minutes, collected the $85.00 service fee, and left, after telling me that the angle pipe was a "very simple fix" and would take ten minutes to repair, and he would return the next day to repair it, as soon as the claim was approved by the home warranty company. I had asked him to please repair the pipe because I didn't have enough water pressure to even wash dishes in the sink or run the dishwasher. He left anyway saying that his office would not let him do the repair at that time. The claim was approved immediately, but I never heard back from the technician, nor anyone else at the "company", even after several phone calls which went immediately to voicemail. This company is a joke. Three to four days later after calling them repeatedly and getting voicemail, I received an automated reply and replied that I was upset because not only had the repair not been done, but they had not even reached out to me OR the warranty company to schedule a day & time for the repair. A man called me and at first said that he would send the technician back to do the work, but then decided that he couldn't come until the next Monday. When I told him that I can't even wash dishes and needed it repaired sooner, he got rude and told me that basically my job wasn't worth the trouble and he would tell the home warranty co to reassign the claim. ZERO concern that I still have no use of my sink. Then a woman from the company called me back and was rude and ugly. She then sent me a "warning" via text message. Guess they didn't like that I asked them to do what they were supposed to do? Don't EVER call this business or have anything to do with them. You will regret it. Because of my home warranty provider assigning them, I am now a week into trying to have this leak repaired and have to start all over again, and am getting threats from people in this "business" because I asked them to be professional and get a repair completed. Crazy, crazy. read more

Troy did not ask us for the Service fee payment up front, going through the Home Warranty, that is normal and would have be happy to. But later he BLEW my phone up with acqusations that I wasn't going to pay him. I had every intention of paying but at work until 7pm, I was away from my phone and unable to pay until the next morning. Which I have now paid the service fee. He went on and on in a rage that I didn't answer my phone or come pay him. When we discussed the apt. before he came out, I had said I wanted to be there, and would come when they called me. Unfortunately, I was unable to hear my phone or be there before they left. This very unprofessional behavior, he has now lost our business. read more

Demonstrates expertise and maintains a customer-centric approach. This company prioritizes client needs.

Update: apparently the owner didn't read my review and just created his own story. The warranty company approved the repair. That's not the issue. The issue is his incompetent workers who created issues instead of fixing the existing ones read more

They took care of my broken shower, quickly and efficiently. Up front pricing with no games, would definitely do business again without hesitation! Thanks again read more

Mr Clogged Drain - Plumbing Near Me - Houston, Texas

I did not have a great experience. The plumber (Bo) came out as assigned by my home warranty company (CHW), as he was aware prior to coming that my faucet was leaking. I talked to him prior to the visit and bought a new faucet in preparation as I was made aware that the replacement faucet would not be the same as my original. When the plumber came to my home he confirmed that the faucet was leaking but told me he could not install the new faucet without approval of CHW. He explained that he will be out in the next two days after approval was received. At this time I made him aware that I would be out of town for 2 weeks beginning Thur 2/1. He did accept a $75 deductible payment prior to leaving the home. The next day 1/30/2024 2:24pm, I called and he explained that CHW had not made contact. I personally called CHW as soon as the phone call ended which they informed me that it was approved that the plumber completed the work. At that time I informed the warranty company that I have my own faucet, which was present when the plumber came to my home. CHW sent an email to me and copied Mr. Clogged Drain. I immediately called the plumber to provide that info, he told me that they were backlogged for another week or so. He told me he was call me back after returning to his office, but he never did On Wed 1/31 Bo sent me a text message saying that he could get me on schedule Friday 2/2. On February 7 1:42pm, I contacted Bo to explain that I would be returning on February 15. At this time he told me that I had to call CHW for another plumber as he diagnosed that my faucet was leaking, I reminded him that he is to complete the original order to replace my faucet. He finally admitted that he was aware that he needed to replace my faucet. We agreed to 2/16 between 11am and 3pm. On 2/16 2:37pm Bo contacted me to inform me that he was 45 minutes away from my home, but was on his way. Bo finally arrived late. He removed my old faucet. He used a pliers directly on the new faucet causing a scratch. He apologized when I asked why would he put a pliers to my faucet he explained that he assumed that I wanted him to put the water filter which was on my old faucet on the new faucet. I refused to allow him to finish the job as he caused damage. He agreed to go to Lowes to return the faucet but they returned the money to my credit card. I had to go to another Lowes to get another faucet. The faucet was no longer in stock in any Lowes in the area in the color I needed so I had to purchase a new more expensive faucet. When I returned Bo replaced the faucet. This plumber represented a lack of professionalism, poor customer service, disorganization. He is very irresponsible and has no concern of integrity on behalf of his employer. I tried to make contact with Mr Clogged Drain Plumbing during the ordeal, but a live person has not answered anytime I called as an automated message picks up. I feel giving one star is too much for this company, as with all the other reviews he is a con artist trying to upsell everything. Comes out through Choice warranty to fix a simple water leak at the water heater, within 10 seconds he starts telling me how I need a new water heater and he will submit a claim to Choice and make them pay but that I will have to come out of pocket to him for $500.00 to get a $2700.00 water heater for only $500.00. Also he leaves the house without fixing the water leak which will cause added damage, when I called as others state he starts to argue and interrupt and try to not let you talk, a very uneducated person as most of the words he does not even know how to use in a sentence. #CONARTIST #THIEF #NEVERUSE. I will contact the appropriate associations to file formal complaints and as I am an attorney in the state of Texas file cause for relief against his company via a class action lawsuit. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH This is the first time in my life posting a 1 star review, never wasted a minute on posting 1 star review before. This company is the WORST in an exceptional way! I have a home warranty & that's how they were assigned the job, they will brake something in your house that is not covered to make you pay them to fix. Obviously the owner is very insecure & unprofessional person that cannot hold up a conversation, he will hang up on you and your money is gone! Trust me, you do not need this kind of company to give your business. I am suing these people, someone will need to learn their lesson. read more

After diagnosis on Friday they said they would return on Monday for sprinkler repair. I needed to know what time window it would be. They didn't answer the phone. I left voicemails with a request for timing but got no response. I sent text messages and got no response. When I finally got in touch he said the home warranty company only approved 4 of the 8 sprinkler heads needed to do the repair (the warranty company told me they approved his estimate so I assumed they approved all that was diagnosed, I still don't have the specific number of head replacements approved by the warranty company). I needed 3 rotary and 5 regular heads. He said he was bringing only 2 rotary heads. I asked him why not 3 rotary and 1 regular. That made him go into a frenzy of cussing about warranty companies and what I wanted and whatever. On Friday when he was here to do the diagnosis, he was reasonable and seemed to be competent. Today he was completely different with a really bad attitude about doing the repair. He said he did not want to do the repair. I had to agree with him and said he should go. Now I have to start over with the warranty company. A few weeks later I have now learned that the problem with getting the right repair was not the fault of Mr. Clogged Drain. It was the fault of the warranty company. I was wrong about where the fault was. I apologize for the statements made. Although they did not have the chance to make the repair, I suspect they would have done better than than the technician subsequently assigned by the warranty company. So I am raising the grade. read more

He was assigned to us through our home warranty company. Set first appointment for 2-8 pm. At 6 calls and asks me for pictures of the problem which I send him. Says he will be there tomorrow. Calls next day and can't make it. Set and appointment for first thing in the morning between 7-10 am. No shows and calls to say we need a new valve. We hade a new valve installed a month ago and the thing is shiny new. He won't come out to see the issue or see if that is what is needed. Just says that is the problem and it will cost us double. Very unreliable, stay away. read more

A technician performed good diagnostic and provided reasonable explanation regarding the issues needs to be done.

My personal experience with Mr Clogged Drain was nothing less than EXCEPTIONAL! I learned of Mr Clogged Drain from my home warranty company. I had a claim for my garbage disposal and leaking sinks and they sent the claim to Mr. Clogged drain. I first want to say that they are prompt and REALLY make sure their customers are satisfied with the work. I had Carlton replace my garbage disposal and he was very detailed and professional. At no fault of Mr Clogged Drain, it DID take a bit longer for the leaking sink to be repaired because my warranty company simply took their time in approving that claim. The owner of Mr Clogged actually stepped in and took care of the calls to the warranty company as a follow up to see if they were going to approve or not vs having me continue to get the run around basically. That was really nice of him. The warranty company did actually approve the claim (I don't know why they didn't approve it all at the same time along with the disposal but the headache around how my home warranty do things is for another review in itself). Carlton and Andre came out to take care of my issues with the sink, and they went above and beyond to explain what they were doing. Even after the job was complete, they again, explained what was done, showed me what the problem was and let me inspect the finished work. We sat for minutes to make sure neither of us saw any leaks and to ensure things were fixed. They take pride in getting the job done RIGHT the first round. I was so impressed by the owner, customer service/dispatch, as well as the gentleman (Carlton and Andre) that completed the work I needed done that I have recommended Mr Clogged Drain to multiple neighbors and friends. I will most definitely be doing business with them again (outside of my warranty company) in the future for my own personal home improvements: new faucets, hot water heater, toilets, etc. Thank you guys for being a company standing on integrity that genuinely care about your customers' satisfaction. read more

The first time I met the owner he seemed like such a pleasant person. He stated that his goal was to make us love him and our warranty company. Please DO NOT LET YOUR WARRANTY COMPANY SEND THEM TO YOUR HOUSE!! It took 10 hours for 2 plumbers to figure out how to put in a garbage disposal and to replace a rusted pipe in a bathtub. The disposal works, however the bathtub was still leaking, when we called the owner to have him come out to fix the leak, he cancelled on us the day he was supposed to arrive and pushed us off until the next day, since it was a warranty job you know. 2 of his plumbers were sent to take care of the leak. They talked to the owner and he informed them that it was a bad washer and it was our responsibility to fix it not theirs. Even though this was a repair done by them under warranty. Needless to say we had Troy's employee's leave and took care of the work ourselves. What really blew me away is that this company would treat brand new home buyers who just moved to Texas for health reasons and take advantage of them this way. The owner knew I was on oxygen with covid caused lung disease which is why we had to move to sea level, and this is how he treats people with disabilities. I would be mortified to find out how he treats healthy folks. I didn't even want to give 1 star, however to post you have to give some sort of rating. My personal experience and rating of this company is terrifying. read more

I want to give them 0 stars but I don't have the option. I had an appointment yesterday with them through my warranty company. They never showed up , it was very difficult to contact them . When we did they said they are running behind schedule but never came. read more

This company is the worse, they are unprofessional & rude and the guy Mr. Anderson tried to talk to me as if I was not human. They were called out because my water was not getting warm so my valve had to be replaced. First off they told me the guy would be here between the hours of 11-3, he didn't show up until almost 1 1/2 hours later and I had to call to find out where he was (No Communication at all). Once he started and was putting everything together water started going everywhere. I'm running around trying to gather towels and the repair guy just sitting there looking at me confused. I contacted Mr. Anderson and he tried to blame me for his repair guy not turning the water completely off (mind you, the guy had the water running in the bathroom sink the whole time (I kept trying to figure out why it was on, I couldn't communicate with him because he didn't understand anything I was saying, while he was replacing the valve, water went all over my bathroom causing the water to seep to the ceiling of my garage but Mr. Anderson blamed me when I brought it to his attention. Now, that was the 1st issue. I said ok, whatever. Then he put my faucet in upside down, I attempted to tell him it needed to be turned around but he did not speak English, so trying to tell him was a bit complicated and he still did not correct it (my handle does not even face in the off position as you can see in the photo below nor did he caulk it. I called Mr. Anderson to ask him why was my faucet silver and not the same color as the faucet I originally had and he gave me some bs excuse that my warranty only replaced it with builder's grade, no excuse for not replacing it with the same color and function so instead of him replacing it with the same nickel color he replaced it with a cheap silver faucet that cost $58.52 from Lowes. This faucet has no way of operating a shower at all, how you give me a downgrade of what I originally had (regardless of it going through a home warranty or not) They put something less of what I originally had in my bathroom to begin with and that is beyond wrong on so many levels. Now I have a shower head in my tub but I am not able to take a shower, I have OCD and do not sit in tubs. I tried contacting Mr. Anderson about this and I guess he is not taking my calls. This is my first time trying to use my bathroom being I had to have a company come in to fix the 2 huge holes they cut into my wall which cost me $296.00. Here I am getting ready to take a shower and wash my hair I go to turn the shower on and there is no way in doing so. I am beyond livid and disgusted. 1. My home warranty paid them $500, I gave them $160 + the $65 service call fee. In return to be disrespect and talked to crazy, job placed on hold over the weekend after their repair guy told me the next day at 9am to come and finish the job and I was put off til the following Monday when I had family coming in from out of town for the weekend (9 people trying to bathe with 1 bathroom) 2. A wet bathroom from him not turning the water completely off 3. Water spots from the bathroom on the ceiling in my garage 4. 2 huge hole 5. $296.00 fee for repairing the holes they put 6. A cheap faucet 7. The wrong color faucet 8. They put the faucet in wrong, with no way of taking a shower at all. To top it all off Mr. Anderson told me, he sends Hispanic repair people that do not speak English because he does not want his customers interacting with the contractors, that if they need anything they need to contact him not talk to his workers. With that being said how was I suppose to communicate any of the issues that went on at those moments? Then he would not let me pay the $160 in cash, telling me at the very last minute that I had to pay him over the phone and if I refuse to give him my credit card over the phone, he would inform his worker to leave that he did not want his contractors handling their money, (he never told me I could not pay cash) that if I had to pay in cash he would not complete the job that they had already begun to screw up (paid online). I will see what CHW say about this tomorrow because I have already reached out to them. I am very dissatisfied. I wish I could leave a NEGATIVE (-5 star review) Just because a person uses their home warranty does not give a company right to treat them like trash or try to belittle them for having a home warranty. If you hate working with people that have home warranties then don't contract with them. Most of the reviews on here a people being bashed for have a home warranty and being treated differently from the people that don't. I have provided pictures of it all and I have reported all of this to my warranty company, this will be dealt with professionally. I will give CHW a chance to correct everything that has happened I have no reason to lie on a company, and the fact that he is calling everyone a lier in the reviews says a lot about him and his company (shame on you) read more

Avoid this company at all cost. Had issue with no hot water on one side of house. Couldn't fix it and tried to scam me into paying for a whole new water heater Cons: - 6+ times they never showed or called (1st time they called and rescheduled, nothing after) - claimed water heater was over 25 yrs old, sticker says its 12. - lied about it leaking, so my home warranty wouldn't cover repair or replacement -couldn't reset my pilot light (brother helped, super easy) I am shocked. - 2 guys came, only one guy did any work. Other just sat around telling me how much he doesn't know. -refused to share pictures, and pictures he showed me on his phone wasn't even my water heater. -told they wouldn't touch the water heater in the attic unless I cut a hole in my ceiling. They wouldn't be able to tell me how they would change the heater or how much. Pros - they seemed nice and the one that went up did take a look at unit. Be careful, I am shocked at how easy the fix was. When my brother was able to get pictures and look at the issue some time later I learned how bad this place was to me. read more

DONT! They just want to get your money and leave. First, they will make a huge hole in the ceiling with no prior authorization (which in my case was not needed, since the leaking cause was easily identified on the above floor with no need for the hole below), charged 65 USD (home warranty service fee) and tried to sell expensive water damage services outside the warranty, through home insurance. I asked to focus on leakage source, submitting claim to home warranty. They said would take two hours to hear from home warranty and left promising a call back. No called back. No response to my voice mails. I had to call the insurance to figure that the claim was denied. They only care about getting big bucks from you, and not at all about solving your problem. read more

I was assigned this company by my home warranty company for a plumbing issue. They came out and assessed the problem and I paid them their $60.00 visit fee which is required by the warranty company. This amount is the maximum needed to be paid to the plumber fix the problem. He then left as they needed to obtain a part to fix. After three weeks, no return and even the warranty company stated they could not reach them. I eventually paid someone else for the repair. I requested a refund and they refused.
